Hello and welcome to day 3 of our Sneak Peek Week! Each morning this week I am showcasing cards using our newest Summer collection which will be available to purchase on April 22nd.
Today I am sharing ideas using our newest Lovely Lilacs layering stamps, Watering Can layering stamps and Summer Greenery Dies. I hope you love them as much as I do!
Card No. 1: For my first card of the day I chose to go with a red, white and blue color scheme (and a touch of yellow) for my Patriotic Fourth of July inspired card. I stamped my Lovely Lilacs in blue shades and created a shiny red Watering Can to hold them. Red is my favorite color and I would love to own a watering can like this! To continue my grouping, I added Lemons and a slice of watermelon using our Slice of Summer Stamps. A blue gingham print from our Classic Gingham Paper pack and a ric rac edge from our Ric-Rac Border Dies were the perfect way to ground my scene and balance out my blue flowers. Lastly I stamped the word hello from the Potted Rose Stamps. I love that the curve in the word worked so well with the curve of the handle, allowing me to stamp my greeting on the diagonal with the limited space I had left.
Finally for this card, I adhered some Pure White Jewels to help visually balance out the bare space in the top, right corner of my card--I decided to go with white so they wouldn't compete with the other images and be visually distracting.
Card No. 8: I created a tropical leaf frame for my next card, pairing the Summer Greenery Dies together with an opening cut using our Stitched Circle Small Dies. For my scene, I used the boy from our new Kiddie Pool Stamps, together with the beach scene border from our Ocean View Stamps. To mask my black ink that had smeared during stamping, I decided to add some white sea foam using a Sharpie White Paint Pen and I ended up liking the happy accident. It just goes to show that the old adage is true; There are no mistakes in crafting, just opportunities to embellish. I complimented my little scene I added a coordinating yellow flower, leaves and aloha greeting from Hawaiian Hibiscus Stamps.

To help you line up our layered stamps I've created a special layering guide (you can click on the photo below to view it larger). The guide shows the stamps starting with the lightest ink color, working towards the darkest, but sometimes I find it easier to start backward when setting up my layers. They both work depending on what your preference is. The black outline indicates where that layer touches the previously stamped layer.
That wraps up today's sneak peeks. I'm so happy you spent part of your day with me today. I read all your comments and they mean so much! I'd love to give a $50 gift code to one lucky winner using the rafflecopter below.
Our daily contests this week run through Saturday, April 23rd at Midnight PST with winners announced here on Sunday, April 24th. :)

ReplyDeleteLove the new layering sets!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to gardening season so I am gravitating toward outside activities.
ReplyDeleteAll I want to talk about is your stamps!!! Lilacs 💜💜💜 The red watering can 💦💦💦 ❤❤❤ LOVE IT!!!!
ReplyDeleteYour layering stamps are awe-mazing! Lilacs and watering cans? Yes, please!!
ReplyDeleteI gravitate towards both indoor (crafting, especially) and outdoor (walking my sweet mini schnauzer) activities. Balance!

I love the watering can and lilacs, so summery. Summer yea!
ReplyDeleteOutdoor, as soon as the weather cooperates!
ReplyDeleteOutdoors for sure until it gets so hot I can't stand it.
ReplyDeletegorgeous cards.
ReplyDeleteI find myself gravitating towards indoor activities - so hard to make cards outside - lol
I Like all of the products today, but the watering can stamps and dies are calling my name!
ReplyDeleteI Like all of the products today, but the watering can stamps and dies are calling my name!
ReplyDeleteYour lilacs are so pretty - I can almost smell them! I like both indoor and outdoor activities and it just depends on the weather. When it's too cold outdoors then indoor activities (craft room time not house cleaning!) are for me. And when it's too hot outdoors then the above comment applies as well!
ReplyDeleteThe watering can is amazing, and I love the beautiful lilacs!
ReplyDeleteI am definitely an indoor person!
I am definitely an indoor person as I'm always in my craft room. But I do enjoy wildlife so will occasionally go visit one of the nearby wetlands. Love all your beautiful cards, so full of life & color.
ReplyDeleteI love being outside! Hiking, biking and enjoying the beaches!
ReplyDeleteReally love the lilacs and watering can. All of your card samples are just fabulous. Nice work, everyone!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love today’s cards, stamps and dies. The lilacs and watering can are stunning and beautiful! The tropical leaves are awesome. Thank you for creating this incredible release v
ReplyDeleteI mostly gravitate towards indoor activities (reading, cross-stitching, and papercrafting), although I will read and cross-stitch outside when it's pleasant. This year, I am hoping to do more outdoor activities (picnics, walks, bird-watching, and gardening).

I ADORE the lilacs! WOW! What a great release! I am an outdoor person but suburbs not camping :) I don't like bugs unless they are cute stamps
ReplyDeleteWow! Such wonderful and amazing projects! I love both outdoor and indoor activities, depending on the season and temperature. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I am smitten with those lilacs!!! Thank you so much for giving them to us, and for making them a layered set, since I am rubbish at coloring!
ReplyDeleteThe highlights on that watering can are perfect! I can see making it into a shaped tag. LOVE the beautiful lilacs!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm outdoors until it gets too hot, then indoors.
Beautiful creations! I love the gorgeous lilacs and butterflies!
ReplyDeleteI'm a big homebody. It takes a lot to get me outside.
ReplyDeleteI'm generally indoors, because it's too hot and here in Houston a majority of the year. April-May and October-November and fall are the best month, though, and right NOW I'm really enjoying walks outside! (Love the lilac stamps - your projects are so beautiful!)
ReplyDeleteYour cards are always so cheerful, so many cute design ideas. I prefer being outside and enjoying the great weather!

ReplyDeleteOh my goodness gracious! I love it all!
ReplyDeleteThese Lilacs are sooo pretty. I love the outdoors, and outdoor activities. I LOVE nature.
ReplyDeleteI find it depends on the season if the weather is nice outdoors super cold or hot indoors.
ReplyDeleteThe layering stamps are so cool. I love this concept. Super pretty florals. I love your cards.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful cards. I love outdoor activities like fishing by a lake or hiking. But I have to admit I don’t like super hot weather. 😁
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the lilacs! They are one of my favorite flower.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely an outdoor girl. I love working in the yard, hiking, kayaking, and such. I craft more in the evenings as a way to relax after a busy day. Thanks for all the inspiration today. Love the flowers!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the outdoors type. Before I was disabled, I was a long distance hiker and marathoner. I miss the mountains. This set of cards is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove this release!
ReplyDeleteLOVE, LOVE, LOVE these lilacs!
ReplyDeleteThe watering can and lilacs are perfect!!! I need these stamp sets.
ReplyDeleteLovely Lilacs! I love the layered watering can and butterflies too! Great summer release! Love the fun images and what you've done with them on your cards. I'm not much of a colorer but I enjoy others' creations with them. I will be adding the layered stamps to my wish list tho!
ReplyDeleteI like the size for the can and the flowers. The activity depends on the day, but I usually prefer outdoors.
ReplyDeleteWhen the weather is comfortable like it is in the spring and fall I find myself outdoors. Beautiful stamps.
