Happy Hamster Cards with Ashley and Mayra

Hello friends! It's Ashley with a card featuring those adorable Happy Hamsters enjoying a nice summer day! I thought the hamsters would go really well with the watermelon and hands from Beach Buddies, so I decided to make a watermelon theme for the card!

I started by using the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles die to create a white frame with four sections. I used Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen to color the two larger sections for a sand area and a sky area. I then trimmed some watermelon patterned paper from the Summer Splash pad to fit the two small square pieces to finish my background.

I stamped the hamsters from Happy Hamsters along with some watermelons and accessories from Beach Buddies and Sealiously Sweet. I also grabbed the clouds and sun from Balloon Rides and the palm tree from Sending Sunshine to complete the scene. After stamping all the images with Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink, I colored them with Copics and cut them out with the matching dies. I added all the images to the card, popping a few up with foam tape. For my sentiment, I stamped "happy summer" from Fabulous Flamingos in VersaMark ink on black cardstock and embossed with white before adding the strip to the last square with foam tape.

Hello everyone. Mayra here with you today. I am sharing this fun card using the new cute Happy Hamsters stamp set. 

I started by coloring the little hamsters and the beach ball from the Sealiously Sweet stamp set using Copic markers. I used W5, W3, W1, and W0. For the brown color, I used E41, E31, E55, E84, and a bit of E87. For the light teal, I used BG0000, BG10, BG11, and BG23. For the red, I used R46 and R05. 

Next, I die-cut the panel using the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles die set. I then die-cut two grassy layers using the grassy die from the Slimline Nature Border dies set. I added color to the grassy borders using Distress Oxide ink in the color Scattered Straw, and Distress Inks in the colors Brushed Corduroy and Gathered Twigs. I then assembled the card. For the sentiment, I heat embossed it onto the banner from the Stitched Rectangle dies set.
