Sydney Alphabet Die Focused Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing this tropical Birthday card featuring the new Sydney Alphabet dies.

Normally, I start by ink blending the background, but this time I began with the dies and stamps. I wasn’t sure yet where everything would go on the card, so I didn’t know exactly how far the beach and sea should extend.

First, I die-cut the birthday girl’s name using the new Sydney Alphabet dies. I die-cut the letters twice: once from coral-colored paper and once from gray paper. I layered the gray letters behind the coral ones to create a soft shadow effect.

I decided to let the Fabulous Flamingos be the party guests and dressed up the card with lots of greenery: the palm trees from the Tropical Scenes set and the leaves from the Fabulous Flamingos stamp set. The parrots from the Tiki Time stamp set joined in as extra tropical guests.

Once I had a rough idea of where everything would be placed on the card, I ink blended the sea and the beach onto the background. After that I colored the stamps with Ohuhu markers.

To make the card feel even more festive, I added some fun party elements like the party hats, cupcake, and party horn from the Panda Party set. And of course, the flamingos needed cocktails to toast. Finally, I glued the name and colored images onto the background and added some highlights with a white gel pen.

Radiating Circles Die Focused Card with Yan

Hello everyone! It’s Yan here! I’m excited to share a cheerful new card featuring the Radiating Circles Dies together with the Quill Cuties Stamps from Sunny Studio’s Spring release. The playful stitched circles and those adorable hedgehogs make such a fun combination—I truly enjoyed putting this happy design together.

First, I stamped the adorable images onto Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock using my trusty Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then, I colored them with Copic markers to bring those little details to life, and used the Quill Cuties Dies to cut everything out perfectly for a clean, polished finish.

COPIC COLORS:
Hedgehog: E31, E41, E43, E44, R30
Bubble Bathtub: B000, B12, B16, W1, W5

Next, I used white, gray, kraft, and creamy cardstock with the Radiating Circles Dies to cut several pieces for my card base. I love how the stitched circles add a lovely touch of texture and interest—it’s the perfect backdrop for those happy little hedgehogs. Then, I used the Radiating Circles Dies once again to cut a slightly larger shape from vellum paper. On it, I heat embossed a few little ducklings and bubbles to add a playful and whimsical touch to the design.

Finally, I brought all the elements together using foam tape and glue, layering everything to create a soft bit of dimension. To finish off this week’s card, I added a heartfelt sentiment from the Vintage Valentine Stamps—the perfect touch to complete this warm and joyful scene.

Woolly Friends Card with Tina H

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and this week I have a super cute Easter card for you featuring the adorable Woolly Friends stamp and die set! Not only do you get several sweet sheep, there is also a great fence image included which I will use in another card. 

Our project is kind of a shaped greeting card, but only on the top part. To start, I cut a white piece of card stock with the largest of the Rounded Rectangle Mat dies. I repeated this process to obtain another panel that will be used for the grass borders. 

For my shaped design, I used a cloud die from my stash and placed it on the top side of one of the white panels. The other piece was cut twice with a grass die. These two borders were inked up with Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide, splattered with water and white paint, and put aside to dry.

Then came the fun part in which I stamped, cut and colored a bunch of cute sheep (Woolly Friends stamp). I used several tones of grey and tried to make them look all soft and fluffy. I also colored the Easter basket from the set with my Copics and a little bird (A Bird’s Life) and bird house. Before assembling the card, I needed to stamp the large Happy Easter sentiment from Chickie Baby in Versafine Onyx Black ink. 

Next, I selected a blue Copic marker to add little dots to the cloud part, it felt a little ‘too plain’ and needed a bit of texture. I used foam tape to add the smaller grass piece to the larger one before adhering both to the cloud panel.

Before committing to a final lay-out, I played around with the different sheep to find the best placement. Final step before adhering everything with foam tape was to draw a little line with a black pen for the bird house. I also added a small bow. After placing a few sparkly Champagne Clear jewels this project was finished.

Speech Bubbles Extras Die Focused Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Speech Bubble Extras Dies.

Cut a A2 size topfold basecard, cut a pink rectangle 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and glued that to the front of the card. Cut a white rectangle and a 3 3/4 x 5 inch watercolor rectangle. Inked up the watercolor panel using Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistashio, Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick and Picked Raspberry.

Die cut the Sliding Window Dies out of it. Cut a slightly smaller water color panel and inked it up using the same colors as I used for the other panel. Glued the smaller panel behind the larger panel leaving the moving part free of glue. Added the white and mechanisme onto the card. 

Stamped the images from the Fabulous Flamingos and Tropical Scenes stamps. Colored them up using my Copic marker and cut them by hand and with the Tropical Scenes Dies.

Used Copic Colors:
Flamingo - RV13, RV42, R01, R00 / C5,C3,C1,0 / Y13, Y11
Green - YG67, YG63, YG03, YG01
Brown - E47, E44, E43, E42
Dark Green - G09, G07, G05
Pink - R85, R83, R81

Cut a strip of acetate, in the middle of the moving mechanisme i cut a slight cut and adhered the strip of acetate on the back of the mechanisme. Stamped the sentiment out of the Inside Greetings Friends Stamps using a pink ink and cut it using the Speech Bubbles Extras Dies. Adhered the speech bubble onto the top of the acetate strip.

Stamped the sentiments out of the Fabulous Flamingos Stamp on some pink cardstock and heat set them using a white embossing powder, cut one to a small banner and the other one I cut using my Scissors. Adhered these sentiments on the inside of the mechanisme so it would be the stopper.
