Mermaid Kisses Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm really happy to be back on the blog with this underwater card featuring the mermaids from Mermaid Kisses. Aren't they beautiful? I love them so much so I went for a slimline design to showcase the four of them.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Mermaid Kisses Card by Marine Simon (featuring Magical Mermaids, Ocean View, Fintastic Friends)

I started off by stamping my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers. I picked my favorite color palette for when I make underwater cards, which is pink, aqua, purple and blue, and because it's quite a bright and colorful combination, I went for a neutral brown to color their hair.

Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Mermaid Kisses for most of the images • Fintastic Friends + Ocean View for seaweeds and rocks • Magical Mermaids for the water bubbles, small fish and seashells

Next I cut a Strathmore bristol smooth slimline panel to create my underwater background. On the lower part, I used a slimline hillside stencil along with antique linen and vintage photo oxide inks to make a sand border, I mixed some vintage photo oxide ink with water, and used a small brush to make splatters on my sand border. On the upper part, I applied, from top to bottom, wilted violet, blueprint sketch and peacock feathers oxide inks. I splattered water that I dried using a paper towel, mixed some black soot oxide ink with water to make more splatters, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink that I splattered all over my panel.

I white heat embossed my "Mermaid kisses, starfish wishes" greeting from Mermaid Kisses right in the middle of my panel, and attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. As always, I added highlights and details using a white gel pen, especially on the mermaids' tails, and finished my card by applying white blizzard nuvo drops on the water bubbles to make them sparkle.

And that's it! I hope you like this new underwater slimline card. I'll be back very soon on the blog with those beautiful mermaids, but in a totally different color scheme. So, see you next time!

Summer Jar Mug Die Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am celebrating warmer days to come with this fun card featuring the Summer Jar Mug dies. This set has all the accessories to create your own refreshing drink!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Summer Jar Mug Die Focused Summer Themed Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Dotted Diamond Dies, Summer Greenery Dies, Fresh Lemon Dies, Frilly Frame Dies, Limitless Labels Dies)

To start, I cut a rectangle background panel with the outer die from Frilly Frames Chevron and embossed it with the Dotted Diamond Portrait die. It’s such an easy way to give tons of texture to an otherwise plain white piece. Next, I made a colorful purple label using a sheet of the Spring Fever papers and the largest Limitless Labels die.

After gluing both pieces to a white card base, I started cutting all the elements I needed for this card from white Neenah paper using the Summer Jar Mug dies, leaves from the Summer Greenery and fruit from Fresh Lemon.

Using a grip mat and some blending brushes makes coloring die cuts fun and very easy, the Distress Oxides I selected are Shaded Lilac, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber. I added texture by splattering with a small brush. For the little umbrella, I went with a beautiful yellow flower pattern from Spring Fever papers.

To put the scene together, I used repositionable tape and worked in layers. The combined sentiment was taken from the Beach Bus set and I completed this card with some yellow embellishments (Pastel Jewels Mix).

Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Wild Cherry Die Focused Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here today with a clean and simple card featuring the Wild Cherry dies. I wanted to keep these beautiful dies as my focal point and this design did exactly how I felt.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wild Cherry Die Focused Birthday Card by Isha Gupta (featuring Punny Fruit Greetings)

I started by die-cutting the dies from white cardstock. Add color using distress oxide ink (wild honey, saltwater taffy, abandoned coral, candied apple, aged mahogany, twisted citron, peeled paint)

I took a white panel and sponged salvaged patina oxide ink towards the center. Adhere the cherries using liquid glue and foam tape. Stamp the sentiment from the Punny Fruit Greetings.

Take a white card base, sponge salvaged patina ink towards the center so that it peeks through the edges of the white cherry panel. Adhere the panel to the cardbase using foam tape. Flick some black paint.

Thank you for dropping by and have a nice day!

Tropical Birds Card with Leanne

Hello everyone! It's Leanne here. I have a fun birthday card to share today. My card features a cute little parrot from the new Tropical Birds stamp setI created a cluster of tropical leaves where he is happily perched.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tropical Birds Birthday Card by Leanne West (featuring Summer Greenery Dies)

I started this card by creating an inked background with a combo of Kitsch Flamingo and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide inks. I find this pairing creates a nice warm pink. I added lots of splatters before stamping the birthday greeting. These sentiments are included in the Tropical Birds stamp set.

I Copic colored the parrot, little flowers, and vines then cut out with the coordinating Tropical Birds dies. Next, I created a bunch of tropical leaves in different shades of green. I used the Summer Greenery dies to cut out the leaves from white card stock. To color I used blending brushes and these Catherine Pooler inks: Mardi Gras, Spruce, Garden Party, & Eucalyptus.

Copic colors used: W1, W3, W4, E42, E43, R00, R20, R22, R30, R32, G07, YG00, YG21, YG23, YG25, Y11, Y15, Y17

I adhered the leaves, florals, and parrot to the center of my inked panel. The bottom layer of leaves are glued flat to the panel The vines and the parrot are adhered with foam squares so they would popped up a bit.

Square Die Focused Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today and I’ve got a fresh and fun card for you with a design that features several of the new Square Dies. I used a clean grid pattern to also showcase the new Fresh Lemon Dies. I think they make adorable little limes!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fresh Lemon Summer Themed Card by Cathy Chapdelaine (featuring Punny Fruit Greetings, Stitched Square Dies, Scalloped Square Dies)

This is a 5 1/4" square card and I started by die-cutting a piece of lime green cardstock using the largest Scalloped Square 1 Large Dies. I adhered it centered on a white card front. Next, I cut a piece of white cardstock 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" and embossed it using the Moroccan Circles Embossing Folder for a little texture. I then die-cut this piece using the 2nd largest Stitched Square Dies and adhered it centered on the scalloped square. I inked a 4” x 4” piece of white cardstock with Kitsch Flamingo Distress ink and die-cut it 4 times using the 3rd smallest Stitched Square Dies. I then adhered the squares evenly spaced on the white cardstock.

Next, I die-cut 4 slices using the Fresh Lemon Dies and inked them with Celery Simon Says Stamp ink, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress inks. I adhered each to the center of a square. I die-cut 2 limes and inked them with Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness Distress inks. I die-cut a smiley face in each one, backed that area with black cardstock and added a few details with a white gel pen/black pen. The small flower centers from the Strawberry Patch Dies make for adorable blush so I die-cut 2 from white cardstock and colored them with Copics for one of my limes. I also die-cut 2 flowers using the Strawberry Patch Dies. I just love their sweet little faces!

To finish, I heat embossed sentiments from the Punny Fruit Greetings Stamps with white embossing powder on black cardstock and fussy cut around them.

I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by today! For more inspiration, please visit my blog www.inkredibleadventures.com and you can also find me on Instagram as @cathy.chapdelaine.
