My Heart Card with Leanne

Hello everyone! Leanne here and I have another Valentine's Day card to share. Today's card showcases the My Heart stamp set.  I love the big and bold Valentine greetings in this little set. I've used them for both the outside and inside of my card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: My Heart Valentines Day Card by Leanne West (featuring Stitched Heart Dies, Gift Card Envelope Dies)

I started this card by embossing a white panel with the Quilted Hearts embossing folder.  I trimmed the panel a bit smaller than A2 size and adhered to a white A2 card base.  I used the Gift Card Envelope die to make a pink envelope. I stamped Happy Valentine's Day onto a 2"x3" mini note card to tuck into the envelope.  The edges of the note card have been lightly inked so there would be some contrast from the white background. I adhered the envelope to the background with foam squares. I then added some die cut hearts and postage stamp as embellishments.

For the inside of the card I die cut a pink heart with the largest die included in the Stitched Heart 2 set.  I stamped the sentiment in red onto white card stock and then used the coordinating die to die cut. You could stamp the sentiment directly onto the pink heart, but I feel the die cut version stands out so much better.

Thanks for stopping by today! I have a really fun project to share next Monday that you won't want to miss.  See you then!

Gift Card Envelope Die Focused Envelopes with Rachel

Hello friends! It's Rachel here and I have some fun little gift card envelopes to share with you that I made using the newly released Gift Card Envelope Die Set. If you've ever found yourself in a pinch where you've wanted to give someone a gift card, but didn't have a nice way to present it, this die set is for you!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Gift Card Envelope Focused Projects by Rachel Alvarado (featuring Bighearted Bears, Panda Party, Happy Thoughts)

These envelopes are so simple to create and you can dress them up or down as much as you like. You can simply used patterned paper and die cut the envelope and be done! I wanted to dress mine up a bit, and used adorable images from both the previously released Panda Party Stamp Set as well as the new Bighearted Bears Stamp Set. I also used both the Surprise Party Paper Pad as well as the Flirty Flowers Paper Pad for my envelopes. I used a basic rounded stitched rectangle die to cut the white center layers of my envelopes and adhered them to the backs of the envelopes with double-sided tape

All of my images were stamped onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. I then used both the Panda Party and Bighearted Bears die sets to cut them out. My die cut sentiment came from the Gift Card Envelope Die Set and my stamped sentiments came from the versatile Happy Thoughts Stamp Set.

As you can see in the photo above, a standard gift card fits perfectly into the envelope. I had a lot of fun making these stylish envelopes and I think that you will too! You can check out the Gift Card Envelope Die Set and the rest of the amazing new release HERE!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Bighearted Bears Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a Valentine’s card pairing the sweet Bighearted Bears Stamps with a fun bold sentiment from the My Heart Stamps.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Bighearted Bears Valentine's Day Card by Cathy Chapdelaine (featuring Heartstring Border Dies, Bursting Hearts Dies, Quilted Heart Dies, My Heart)

I chose a soft pink, cream and gray color scheme to really make those adorable pandas take center stage. I started by cutting a piece of cream cardstock 3 1/2" x 4 1/4" and inked it with Spun Sugar and Saltwater Taffy Distress inks just short of the edges of the cardstock. I splattered a little watered down Dr. Ph Martin’s Bleed Proof White with a fan brush. After the piece was completely dry, I heat embossed the sentiment from the My Heart Stamps with white embossing powder. I then adhered this piece to the top of a white A2 card base.

Next, I cut a piece of gray cardstock 2” x 4 1/4" and die-cut it using the Quilted Hearts Portrait Die. I adhered this to the bottom of the card front. I cut a piece of cream cardstock 1/2" x 4 1/4" and die-cut it using a Heartstrings Border Die. I adhered this to a 1/4" x 4 1/4" strip of black cardstock overlapping it until just a thin portion of the black strip was visible. I then adhered this combined piece along the top edge of the gray cardstock. Using another die from the Heartstrings Border Dies, I die-cut a piece of pink cardstock and adhered the small hearts to the cream die-cut piece.

To finish, I stamped the bears on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I added a few extra hearts by die-cutting a piece of white cardstock using the Bursting Hearts die, inked them with Saltwater Taffy Distress ink and heat embossed them with clear embossing powder for a little shine.

I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping by today! For more inspiration, please visit my blog www.inkredibleadventures.com and you can also find me on Instagram as @cathy.chapdelaine.

Love Birds Card with Nicky

Hi this is Nicky with you today with my first blog post as a member of the Sunny Studio Design Team and I have a sweet card created using the brand new Love Birds stamp set

Sunny Studio Stamps: Love Birds Card by Nicky Meek (featuring Chloe Alphabet Dies, Brilliant Banner Dies, Fancy Frame Dies)

To create this card I first took two panels of white cardstock and I used the Fancy Frames Rectangle die to die cut twice. I glued the frames together to make them nice and sturdy and with the negative cut from the centre that was created I blended softly with a peachy pink ink. I adhered the frame to a panel of pale pink cardstock and then I recessed the ink blended background panel through the opening and glued it into place.

I created the word LOVE using the Chloe Alphabet Die. I die cut each letter 3 times and glued them in stacks and used Copic markers to create an ombré affect. I die cut some pale pink cardstock using the Brilliant Banner 2 die and stamped the sentiments from the Love Birds stamp set.

In nature, Love Birds come in so many beautiful colours so you can really have fun recreating these birds every time you use the stamp set but I chose a variety called 'Peach-Faced Love Bird' to inspire mine. I stamped the images then used the following Copic marker combinations to colour everything:

Birds - BG32, G00, G000, G0000, C1, C0, E01, R00, R000
Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00
Branch - E44, E43, E42
Leaves - BG32, G00, G000, G0000
Flowers - Y23, R000
Heart - R21, R00

The images were die cut using the coordinating dies and applied with foam tape and then underneath I glued the word LOVE and after that I added the banner with more foam tape.

To finish up I used a white gel pen to dot in some interest to the blended background and to highlight points on the coloured images and then it was complete.

Thanks for visiting the Sunny blog, I'll be back just about every Friday with something new to share.

Treat Bag Topper Card & Treat Bag with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm so thrilled to be back on the blog with my first project of the year, and I'm so excited about the new items from the Spring 2024 release! As you may or may not know, I am for mixing and matching new stuff with older stuff. Here my new stuff is the Treat Bag Topper, and my older stuff is Love Monkey, which I used for the very first time, and that was so fun!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Treat Bag Topper Die Focused Valentine's Day Projects by Marine Simon (featuring Love Monkey, Stitched Heart Dies)

As very often, I started off with the coloring and stamped all my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and used my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it brush markers to color everything. And as you can see, I went for traditional Valentine colors.

Next I cut two identical Strathmore bristol smooth square panels and colored them both using a cloudy stencil along with spun sugar and worn lipstick oxide inks. I kept one of those two panels and cut a heart window out of it using the largest Stitched Heart 2, attached a piece of acetate at the back, on the front I stamped my "Swinging by to say I love you" greeting from Love Monkey on the acetate using black Stazon ink, and at the back of my panel I added foam strips all along the heart window, following its shape, and on the four sides as well. I poured some iridescent heart confetti and Red & Pink Confetti on the acetate, and then stuck my second cloudy panel to the foam strips to totally close my shaker.

I attached my shaker panel on a larger red panel from Holiday Cheer, and stuck my images using 1mm foam squares. Added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and then moved on to the Treat Bag Topper.

I started off by cutting the small stitched panel out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock and colored it the same way as my card using spun sugar and worn lipstick oxide inks. I stamped my "For my little love monkey" greeting from Love Monkey on the right side, cut the main Treat Bag Topper piece out of the same red Holiday Cheer paper as before, and attached my small stitched panel on the main piece using liquid glue. I stuck the images using 1mm foam squares, added highlights and details using a white gel pen, and finally added a cute little bow on the handle.

And that's it! Coloring those cute monkeys was super fun, and I adore the Treat Bag Topper, it's so cool I want to use it all the time. By the way, it is not impossible that my next project features it, so stay tuned for more inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you soon!
