Bright Balloons Card with Isha

Hello everyone, Isha here with a CAS baby girl card featuring the Bright Balloons dies. I felt the balloons and the fairy were perfect for the baby card :)

I started by sponging squeezed lemonade, kitsch flamingo and wilted violet distress oxide inks to a white panel. Flick silver and gold paint. Die-cut the balloons, sponge the same inks as above. Add nuvo glaze and sprinkle some chunky glitter, let dry. 

Stamp the images, color and die-cut using the coordinating dies:
Fairy - Garden Fairy stamps and dies
Clouds and sentiment - Baby Elephants stamps and dies

Add gold floss to the balloons, adhere the panel and all the images to a white cardbase. Finish by adding pastel rainbow confetti by Studio Katia.

Crepe Paper Streamers Card with Bobbi

Hey everyone, Bobbi here. Sometimes a person just deserves a treat. This card was intentionally kept very open with the sentiment, "treat yourself" on the front. It could be used as a "congratulations," "happy birthday,' or a "thinking of you" card. I like having greetings like this on hand, because I can personalize them with another sentiment on the outside and/or inside, to fit the situation. I also like that this card can be used for all types of people. It's not too feminine nor masculine. It could be for a child or adult, too. 

I'm using the following Sunny Studio Stamps products:
Crepe Paper Streamers dies
Fast Food Fun stamps and dies
Cruisin' Cuisine stamps
Joyful Holiday pattern paper pack

To make this card, I stamped, colored and cut the food elements. I also cut the streamers in a powder blue and added darker blue sides to make the crepe paper look like it had two different colored sides. I attached a 4" tall X 5" wide red checkered paper to the bottom of my A7 card base. Right above, I added a strip of powder blue. The food items items were anchored on the blue strip. 

Streamers and confetti (dots of colorful paper) were glued in place, right above the food for a festive look. This card is ready to make someone's day. Lastly, I stamped the phrase, "treat yourself" at the top to finish the look.

Beach Buddies Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today sharing a fun summer card featuring the adorable Beach Buddies Stamps. Summer is my favorite season so making ocean themed/tropical cards is one of my favorite things to do!

This is a mini slimline card (card base is 6 1/4" x 6 1/2", scored on the 6 1/2" side at 3 1/4" and folded in half) and I started by cutting a 3” x 6” panel from white cardstock for the card front. I die-cut a piece of Eclipse masking tape using a Slimline Nature Borders Die and placed the tape across the panel 2 1/4" from the top edge. I then inked a soft sky with Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar Distress inks. I stamped the “happy” sentiment 1/2" below the top edge and 3/4" from the left edge.

Next, I masked the sky and tore a ragged edge on a post-it note. I applied the post-it note 1” below the horizon line and inked the sand with Antique Linen Distress ink. Using Speckled Egg Distress ink, I very lightly inked a few inches below the beach and dotted the shoreline with a white gel pen. I also sprinkled a little water on the Speckled Egg area. I then adhered the panel to the card front.

For the waves, I cut 3 pieces of white cardstock (1” x 3 1/4", 2 1/8”x 3 1/4", 2 1/2" x 3 1/4") and die-cut the top edge of each piece using the Catch a Wave Dies. I inked them with Evergreen Bough Distress ink at the bottom blended into Speckled Egg Distress ink towards the top of each wave and sprinkled water on them. Since I tucked the critters behind the waves, I set them aside until I had my critters ready to adhere.

I stamped all the images on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I used the Beach Buddies Stamps/Dies and the Beach Babies Stamps/Dies (umbrella and beach ball). I then adhered the critters and waves to the card front as shown.

To finish, I die-cut a palm tree from the Tropical Trees Backdrop Die from white cardstock, colored it with Copics and adhered it on the beach. I heat embossed the “Summer” sentiment on white cardstock with white embossing powder, inked over it with Kitsch Flamingo Distress ink and fussy cut around it.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Kristie Marcotte

Hey everyone, Kristie Marcotte here. I'm so excited to be sharing several cards with you today that focus on the Surprise Party paper pack. Let's get right to it!

I made a fun patriotic birthday card featuring red and blue tone on tone patterned papers. I added a couple balloons above the sentiment and included the Ric Rac Border across the card. I used the Bright Balloons, Ric Rac Border,and Big Bold Greetings.

This card features the Subtle Grey Tones paper for the background. I used some of the tone-on-tone patterns from the Surprise Party paper pad for all the presents and filled the background with lots of gifts. I used Perfect Gift Boxes, Crepe Paper Streamers and Big Bold Greetings.

The background features the colorful party hat paper. I added a couple tone on tone strips. I included 3 balloons on an oval die cut. I used Bright Balloons and Big Bold Greetings.

I used some white shimmer cardstock for the background and added several narrow strips of patterned paper in pink and teal. I added a couple of present images on a vellum circle, plus a few balloons above the sentiment. I used Bright Balloons, Perfect Gift Boxes, and Big Bold Greetings.

 It's still July, so I couldn't resist making a fun Christmas card. I used the green star tone on tone paper for the background and cut out some wonky windows. I added a tiny poinsettia inside each window. I used Wonky Windows, Window Quad Circle, and Inside Greetings Holiday.

Critter Campout Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a sweet outdoor card featuring the cute Critter Campout stamp and die set! We haven’t been camping in a long time, but I still remember how fun it was!

For my base panel I die cut a piece of white Neenah paper with a slimline die from my stash. The three grassy borders were inked with green Distress Oxide inks (Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn), for the sky I used Kitsch Flamingo. Of course, I had to add some splatters too!

Next, I stamped a combined sentiment from the Critter Campout stamp in the right upper corner of this panel. As always I used my trusty Versafine Onyx Black ink.

After selecting three adorable critters (Critter Campout stamp) I browsed through my stash to find some extra accessories, like the chair (Kiddie Pool), the ball and the bag (Beach Babies). I also stamped and colored two cute birdies from A Bird’s Life. 

To set the scene I selected the pine trees from Gleeful Reindeer. I always keep my Sunny Studio Christmas sets in a separate container nearby, so I can use elements from them all year round! All the coloring was done with Copic Markers, and I added some details with a white gel pen.

To assemble the card, I glued my base panel to a white card base and added all the critters and their camping gear. I tucked the sleeping bear (sooooo cute!!!) inside the tent so he could enjoy a little nap!

A few Chrystal Clear jewels were added as embellishments. These are by far my favorite gems as they go with so many designs!
