Turkey Day Card with Bobbi

Calling all pie lovers… It’s Turkey Day! Bobbi here with you today. It’s almost time to eat pumpkin pie and this bunch of turkeys is encouraging pie eating over turkey eating! I’m using this fun new Turkey Day set along with its coordinating die set, the Moroccan Circles Embossing Folder, and the Classic Sunburst Paper Pack for this 5″ X 7″ card.

I stamped all of the turkeys, pumpkins, and accessories and colored them using Copic Sketch Markers. I cut them out using the coordinating dies. I also stamped a strip of white cardstock with the “Happy Thanksgiving” sentiment and matted it using a plaid paper from the Critter Country Paper Pack. I stamped two little leaves on each side of the sentiment and colored them in.

Here’s the colors I used to color the images:

• Turkeys: E43, E44, E57, E55, R46, white Gelly Roll Pen
• Hot Cocoa: R17, R46, B02
• Pumpkin Pies / slices: E43, E51, E53, E55, E57, B02 and C3 (pie tins), YR30 (whip cream), E17, E15
• Pumpkins: YR07, YR68, YR27, YR24, YR23, YR00
• Top Hat: G28, R46
• Sign: E42, E43, C7
• Shadows: C7, C3, C1
• Leaves: YG67, YG03

The cast of characters were attached to the starburst paper, with the foreground turkeys attached using foam tabs to make them stand out.

I attached the starburst pattern paper to the top half of the A7 card and added an embossed strip of white cardstock to the bottom. The matted sentiment strip was layered over the seam of the two papers to conceal the edges. I also added a speech bubble to the team of characters and added the pie and cocoa to the bubble. Yes, even turkeys love pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin pie!
