Brilliant Banner Die Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, Tina here with an oval shaped card featuring the festive Brilliant Banner 2 Dies. They come in two different shapes and I used the curved one for this project. It matches perfectly with the largest of the Scalloped Oval Mat 1 dies!

To start this design, I cut the banner and the oval mat from white Neenah paper. Next, while I had the oval die out, I created my oval card base by scoring the paper in two and leaving the top part uncut.

For my background I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides Salvaged Patina and Peacock Feathers. I used some white gouache and a small paintbrush to create little snowflakes. The snowbank was made of some white Neenah paper that I first dry embossed with the Buffalo Plaid folder. I love the little extra it gives to the ‘snow’. Next, I created the white frame by cutting the middle part of the oval mat with a smaller die from an infinity set.

For this Christmas card, I selected the adorable Santa from Santa Claus Lane, a sweet reindeer and presents from Reindeer Games and the birch trees from Bear Hugs. These are all amazing holiday sets which work so well together! Love browsing my stash to come up with different mix and match ideas! All the images were colored with Copic markers. I stamped a greeting from Reindeer Games onto the white banner with my go to Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Now let’s assemble the card, starting by adhering the sky panel and snowbank to the card base. Next, I created the snowy scene by adhering all the images that needed to be placed inside the frame. Finally, I added the frame, the banner, the bags and a some presents on top of the oval frame. A few small white snowflakes with Chrystal Clear Jewels were the only embellishments this card needed.
