Hi everyone, Anja here and I’m happy to share my first card made with some brand new Spring Release goodies. Today I’m featuring the Lovey Dovey set which comes with beautiful large love-themed sentiments. I picked the precious 'I love you to the moon and back' one and created a night scene around it.
First, I started off with the background and trimmed down a piece of white cardstock to a regular A2 size. I used the smallest of the Tim Holtz Moon Masks and created a radiant blend around the circle using Distress Oxide Inks (Salvaged Patina, Prize Ribbon, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot). I also added the moon texture with the stencil and a light touch of Pumice Stone ink. I let everything dry completely before stamping the sentiment inside the moon with VersaMark Ink. To create a shiny, translucent look I used Salvaged Patina Distress Embossing Glaze to heat emboss the sentiment.
Next, I die cut the Cityscape Border from black cardstock to mimic house silhouettes in the dark of the night. I also hand cut some yellow paper to go behind it for the tiny enlightened windows. For the ground I trimmed down a dark grey cardstock strip and adhered it as well as the cityscape to my ink blended background.
I fell in love with the new Passionate Penguins Stamps the first time I saw them – they are sooo cute! Of course I had to use them on my card ;-) I stamped the penguins in the car with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and did some Copic coloring. The image was die cut with the coordinating die and popped up using foam tape. Finally, I die cut three little hearts from pink cardstock and covered them with Glossy Accents.
Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day!

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm
super happy to be back on the blog with this adorable card showcasing two stamp
sets from the new release: Little Birdie that features the
cutest birds, and Lovey Dovey that includes sweet sentiments.
So as always I started by stamping and cutting all the images. I stamped most of the birds, as well as several branches and some tiny bows from Little Birdie using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, and I used my alcohol markers to color everything. For the leaves on the branches, I used two different green combos to bring some variation, and for the birds, I used aqua shades to turn them into fun tropical birds. But I think it would be fun to color them in yellow to create canaries or brown to create sparrows!
Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches bristol panel to create the background. And I
didn't want it to compete with the images and sentiment, so I went with a soft
pink cloudy sky using a cloud stencil from my stash along with spun sugar and
kitsch flamingo distress inks.
I white heat embossed my sentiment "You're so lovely" from Lovey Dovey on a dark pink cardstock and cut it using the coordinating die, and then I attached all my cute images and sentiment on the cloudy panel
using 1mm foam squares.
Once everything was attached, I stamped a few hearts from Lovey Dovey here and there using worn oxide ink to coordinate with the sentiment, and then I glued a bunch of tiny heart confetti to bring shine and sparkle to this lovely card. I attached my panel on a light pink card base, and as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen.
Well that's it for my first Sunny Studio card of the year, I hope that you like it! Feel welcome to check the video (click the image above) for more information. Thanks for stopping and see you next week!
