Hi! Lindsey here today sharing a fun shaker card combining two adorable sets, Comfy Creatures and Summer Picnic. These two sets work so well together. I mean, who better to go on a fun picnic than some adorable critters. My card features two cute little monkeys having a tree top picnic. Let's get started on how I created this card.
To get started, I stamped the tree from Summer Picnic three times in a row. I only stamped the top of the tree because that's where I wanted the monkeys to have their picnic. I had to mask the tree in the middle, so I could overlap the tree top on either side. I colored the tree tops with Copic markers and fussy cut the tree panel out. Next I stamped two of the sitting critter bodies from Comfy Creatures. Then, I stamped one of each of the cute little monkey faces on top of the bodies. I also stamped two soda bottles for the monkeys to enjoy at their picnic. I colored all the images with Copic markers. I fussy cut the monkeys and used the coordinating die from Summer Picnic for the soda bottles.
In order to create a shaker card I needed a frame, so I cut one from some Kraft cardstock. I then attached a piece of acetate behind the frame so you could see thru to the background and shaker bits. I attached all of my colored images to the front of the frame on top of the acetate and Kraft cardstock. I just used a tape runner for everything except the soda bottle in the front. I popped it up with a little foam tape. For the background, I used a piece of white cardstock that I blended some blue print distress ink on. I also added my sentiment from Summer Picnic and some stars from the Star Border die.
I added a double layer of foam tape to the back of the frame panel and layed it on top of my background panel which had the shaker bits laying on top of it. By doing this, I trapped the sequins and beads inside so they could now move around.
That's it for me today! I hope you'll check back to the blog for more inspiration, and I can't wait to see what ideas you come up with. Have a great day!

Summer Picnic: Relax Card with Anni
Hey stampers, Anni here! It's another tuesday and I am here to show you another card! This week we are featuring the cute set Summer Picnic.
This set is so versatile! It has all the yummy food in it but also this beautiful tree I knew I wanted to use for this card. And the cute little apple is just the little extra a card needs. I love that Mendi adds those smiley faces to a lot of her sets. That's so cute and I was able to make my apple smile!
As always I started by stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the tree and the apple from the set. To create a "stage" for the tree I cut a banner from white cardstock, To make it a little bit more interesting I used the Fishtail Banners dies. They are so great, don't you think? And the scalloped one is my favorite.

I added some ink blending in green for the grass and in turquoise for the sky!
I adhered the banner to my card base and finished the card with some faux stitching.
Thanks for stopping by and have a sunny week.

Comfy Creatures Heart Themed Thank You Card Set by Eloise
Hello everyone! Eloise here today and I’m here to share a fun set of cards featuring the new stamp sets – Comfy Creatures, Summer Picnic and Fresh and Fruity. I’m also using some little heart dies from the Stitched Heart Dies to create something fun and using the Sending my Love stamps too. I had so much fun creating these four cards for you all today and they’re just great little thank you notes to give to someone. Plus the punny sentiments make them all the more fun too!
So to begin my cards today, I created two 4” x 5 ½” side fold card bases out of some white cardstock. I then took a trimmer and cut them both long ways at 2 ¼” – so I created 4 top-fold mini cards. My thought for these mini cards was having something easy to pop on a box of chocolates or a small gift, just something simple to say thank you. So once my card bases were cut, I moved on to decorating them. I decided it would be fun to create a stencil out of some of the small simple heart dies from the Stitched Heart Dies, so I took all three small ones that didn’t have the stitching detail and adhered them randomly together with some washi tape, I then ran this through many times on top of some acetate to create my own re-useable stencil. By all means you could do this with cardstock of course, but acetate will last longer. Once it was all die cut out – just enough to cover the card base I adhered it over the top just using some washi tape along the sides and used some red distress ink to blend over the top. I was heavier handed towards the bottom and lighter at the top to create a fun ombre pattern without having to use several shades of red.
I completed this on all four cards and then worked on the images. I stamped out the bodies, tails and a couple of the heads from the Comfy Creatures stamp set and then stamped a couple of other heads from the Sending My Love set. I also stamped out some of the fruit images from the Summer Picnic stamp set. I decided to use my Copic markers this time around to colour in all my images. Once they were all coloured I used the coordinating dies to cut them all out – so super easy!
Now that I had everything together I decided to figure out what body I wanted with each head and fruit. Once I figured that out I adhered them together. I then stuck the critters on each card with some foam adhesive and then took the Fresh and Fruity stamp set and figured out which sentiments went with each fruit and then stamped them directly on the card base with some black ink and that finished up all of my four cards.
I hope you enjoyed a look at my cards today. I had a lot of fun making them and I hope this inspires you. Make sure you check by the blog this week as the other ladies are going to have some amazing projects as always!
