Surfing Santa & Lazy Christmas Sloth Christmas Cards with Mendi

Hello and welcome! This is Mendi popping in to share some holiday cards featuring our Surfing Santa Stamps and Lazy Christmas Stamps.

My first card showcases the adorable Surfing Santa Stamps, perfect for tropical Christmas Cards. Whether you live in Florida, Hawaii, Australia, or are just visiting a warm destination over the holidays, sometimes snowy cards just don't fit your circumstances at Christmas time. I paired my Santa Claus with the beach & palm trees backdrop from our Ocean View Stamps, the beach chair from the Kiddie Pool Stamps, and the VW bus and surfboard from the Beach Bus Stamps. I enjoyed keeping things festive for Christmas by coloring the umbrella and lounge chair with red and white candy cane stripes. Lastly, I added the "Happy Holidays" sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Stamps. I love that the script of this greeting has the feel of a vintage postcard when paired with my beach scene.

For my second card, I paired the two sloths, tree branch, ornaments, and stack of gifts from the Lazy Christmas Stamps with the wreath and sloth face from the Christmas Critters Stamps. I lined up three mini scenes, which were framed using our Stitched Small Circle Dies and then matted with red cardstock using the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies. I completed my card by heat-embossing a punny sentiment from the Lazy Christmas set onto an elongated turquoise pennant strip cut with the Notebook Photo Corner Dies.

Deck The Halls Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, so happy to be back with this bright and cheerful card featuring decorative baubles from Deck The Halls, like a close-up of a Christmas tree.

I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, I cut them with the coordinating dies and colored everything with my Ohuhu markers. For the branches, I stamped them using a green dye ink first, next I used green markers to add more depth and make those branches more full, and then used a brown marker to color the middle of each branch. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Deck The Halls - baubles • Classy Christmas & Bells & Baubles - branches • Scenic Route - strings of lights.

When the coloring was done, I added highlights and details to the baubles using a white gel pen, added a dot of glossy accents to each light and to Rudolph's nose, I mixed copic opaque white ink with water and added splatters to the branches and then did the same with liquid stardust.

Next I cut a large Rounded Rectangle Mat panel out of a Joyful Holiday red gingham pattern paper, cut an opening out of it using the second largest Rounded Rectangle Window die to turn it into a frame, added white splatters to that frame, and set it aside to dry. I used the largest Rounded Rectangle Mat die again to cut a panel out of a Very Merry green pattern paper, added white splatters and liquid stardust splatters to it, and once dry, I attached my images to it using 1mm foam squares, except for the strings of lights that I stuck using liquid glue.

I attached my red rounded frame using 2mm foam squares, next the panel to a 5,5 x 4,25 inches white panel and then to a matching card base. For my greeting, I white heat embossed "Merry Christmas" from Bells & Baubles on black cardstock, cut those words using the matching dies, and attached them at the bottom of my panel using 1mm foam squares. I also white heat embossed "May the season fill your home with joy" from Cozy Christmas on black cardstock, cut it into a fishtail banner and then stuck that banner at the top of my card using 1mm foam squares again.

Santa Claus Lane Card with Tina

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here with a sweet snowy scene in which I combined two amazing holiday sets.

From the Santa Claus Lane stamp and die set, I selected the cute Santa with his sleigh and presents. Next, I added an adorable cutie from the Reindeer Games stamp and die set. I love how well these sets work together to provide even more design ideas. After coloring all the images with my Copics, I put them aside to work on my backdrop.

Starting off with a teal card base, I then cut a panel with the outer die of the Frilly Frames Stripes die from white card stock. For extra texture, I ran this panel through my die cutting  machine with the Cable Knit embossing folder. Folders are such a quick and easy solution to add that extra layer of dimension to your projects, and this one is just perfect for winter cards!

Another way to elevate your project is to include pattern paper. Here I am inlaying the Stitched Semi-Circle in a pale snowflake paper (Subtle Grey Tones). Now I only needed to cut a snowbank from white paper to complete the scene. After assembling all the background elements with liquid glue, I mounted the images with foam tape. Next step was to add loads of snow with a white paint pen!

The sentiment was selected from the Reindeer Games stamp set and stamped on a white banner with a red ink from my stash. A bunch of scattered larger snowflakes (Snowflake Circle Frame die) completed the scene. They each were embellished with a Champagne  Clear Jewel.

Happy Owlidays Card with Amanda

Hey friends, and welcome back to the Sunny Studio Stamps blog! It’s Amanda here with you today, and I’m so excited to share a sweet little card I created—one that coordinates perfectly with the Trio of Tags I featured in last week’s post!

This time, I switched things up and used the Joyful Holiday paper pack instead of All is Bright that I used for the tags. These two paper packs work so well together ,thanks to their similar color palettes. 

For this card, I really leaned into creating layers—lots and lots of layers! I pulled several patterns from the Joyful Holiday papers and used the Notebook Tabs and Notebook Photo Corners dies to build a playful, dimensional base. 

The soft pink snowy layer might look like patterned paper, but it’s actually a piece of plain white cardstock that I ink blended using Catherine Pooler’s Cotton Candy and It’s a Girl inks. After blending, I added a sprinkle of snowflakes using the Happy Owlidays stamp set. It creates the prettiest, subtle wintery background!

While I had the Happy Owlidays stamps out on my desk, I went ahead and stamped all the adorable little images in the set that I wanted to add to my card. I inked them up in black ink, then colored everything with Copic markers to bring them to life. Once they were all colored, I used the coordinating dies for quick, clean cutting.

The sentiment comes from the Holiday Express stamp set. I stamped it on white cardstock, trimmed it down, and then snipped the ends of the strip with scissors to create a simple banner shape.

With all my pieces ready to go, I started assembling the card using a mix of liquid glue, foam strips, and foam squares. The dimension helps all those layers pop! After everything was in place, I added a touch of sparkle with the Bright Jewels Mix—because no holiday card is complete without a little sparkle!
