My Heart Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am featuring the beautiful My Heart stamps and dies. The scripty font on these sentiments is just stunning! They are the perfect match for the sweet cuties from Passionate Penguins.

The size of the sentiment I selected is also great to add to a mini slim line card so that is the design we are creating in this blog post. From a piece of white heavy card stock I made a card base and added a beautiful layer of green gingham paper (Gingham Pastels). This paper pad is an absolute favorite of mine. I love all the soft rainbow colors it contains!

Next, I created a white, slim line rectangle with a die from my stash and stacked it on top of the green panel. My actual background piece is cut from a pink paper from the same Gingham Pastels pad. To make it extra special I also used the Quilted Hearts Portrait die. The pattern of the little hearts is just adorable! Finally, I mounted two little white snow banks to the background.

I stamped one of the My Heart stamps sentiments in a red ink from my stash and cut it with the coordinating die. Next, I placed the sentiment onto the background to see how much space was left. This helped me to select an image from the Passionate Penguins set. I colored the two cuties and the car with Copic Markers, and I added some details with a white gel pen.

To give the card some dimension I mounted the sentiment and image with foam tape to the panel. I love finishing a card with some embellishments and today I chose the beautiful Red Heart Mix Drops.

Treat Bag Topper Treat Bags with Isha

Happy New Year everyone! Isha here with you sharing the new Treat Bag Topper dies. These are awesome! I am sure you enjoyed all the gorgeous inspiration of the new release last week.

For the spring theme, I used the floral bouquet from the Big Bunny stamp set, stamp using memento black ink, color using copic markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies. Stamp the word "SPRING" 

I die-cut the base using the pattern paper from the Flirty Flowers paper pack. Next, take the Happy die-cut. Color using copic markers in an ombre from pink to orange. Adhere black die-cut behind the colored one in slight offset. Assemble everything together.

The next topper can be used for any occasion including valentine. I used the pattern from the Joyful Holiday paper pack. I used the image from the Bighearted Bears stamp set, colored and die-cut using the coordinating dies. I stamp the word "greetings" from the Big Bunny stamp, die-cut using the coordinating dies. I also die-cut one in pink and adhered behind the stamped greetings, slightly offset. Stamp the word Heartfelt.

Bighearted Bears Card with Leanne

Hello crafty friends, Leanne here! Happy New Year! I'm absolutely thrilled to be back on the blog. Every Monday I'll be here sharing paper crafting inspiration featuring all the latest and greatest products from Sunny Studio.  

For today's post, I have made what I call a triple heart slimline card. This special shaped card design is easy to make with heart dies. I have used the Stitched Heart 2 dies. With the largest one in the set I die cut six hearts to create a card front and back. I have decorated my card with adorable images from the new Bighearted Bears stamp set. 

I've assembled the back of the card with three of the hearts cut from white heavy weight card stock. I adhered them together with the center heart on top and overlapping the other two. I used a slimline envelope as a guide so the total length of my card base is just a bit shorter. I wanted to be sure the assembled card fits in the envelope. 

After the back three hearts have been adhered, I scored a line along the top edge. Above the scored line is where I adhered the hearts for the card front. I used two red and one pale pink for the front. When all the hearts are secured, the card will have a hinge and open as any traditional card would.  

To finish the front of the card, I layered on some smaller hearts which have been ink blended, splattered, and stamped with Valentine sentiments from the Bighearted Bears stamp set. I then picked out a few of the bear images to Copic color and add... three for the front and one for the inside. Even though this is a unique shaped card, there's still plenty of space on the inside to write a personal message to the recipient. It also will stand up for displaying just like a regular card. 

Here are the Copic colors I used to color the bears: grey shading & black - N0, N2, N4, N4; red & pink cheeks - R00, R20, R32, R35, R39.

Love Birds Card with Tammy

Hello friends and Happy New Year! Tammy here! I'm so excited to be back on the blog sharing some projects, featuring new and amazing products from Sunny Studio's spring release. My card today is showcasing the adorable set, Love Birds.

I colored the darling birds from the Love Birds Stamp set to look like blue birds, using Copic markers, then die cut all images with the coordinating dies. Next, I created a little oval background for the blue birds using the Scalloped Oval Mat 3 Dies. 

I lightly blended the background with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink, then attached it (with foam tape) to a blue patterned panel, cut from the Classic Sunburst Paper, measuring 4 X 5 1/2". 

Next, I arranged the images onto the scalloped oval, attaching some with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment onto a pink banner die cut using the Brilliant Banner 1 Die. 

Lastly, I attached the sentiment banner to my card using foam tape, then adhered my panel to a white A2 card base to finish up my card.
