Hey stampers, Anni here, sharing a card using the awesome set Island Getaway! I am totally ready for a summer vacation but mine is still two month away! So I have to create some vacation atmosphere by card making.
I started by stamping, coloring and fussy cutting the palm tree and the island from the set. Copics are my go to coloring medium for fast and easy coloring. What is your favorite way to color an image?
For the background I added some ink blending in turquoise to a piece of white cardstock. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment in white on a stripe of black cardstock.
For a visual triangle I adhered a piece of black and white striped patterned paper and finished my card with some sequins.
Thanks for stopping by and have a sunny week.

Escape with a Watercolor Tropical Island Getaway Card by Eloise
Hello everyone, Eloise here and I’m here to feature the new Island Getaway set. This set has won my heart, it is so super fun and I’ve had so much fun creating projects with it. For today I’m going to create a fun sunset scene using a lot of the images in the set as well as the new Wavy Borders dies as well.
To begin my card I’m going to stamp out all the images I’m going to use in the Island Getaway set. I chose the palm tree and island to create the starting point of my scene and then I thought it would be fun to use the monkey girl in her bathers as well as the thongs (or flip flops) image because it’s going to go well with the sentiment I’m going to use. I stamped out all my images on some watercolour paper in some black ink and clear heat embossed it – my favourite if I’m going to be water colouring. I’m still on my water colouring kick, so I’m gonna be using my Zig Clean Colour markers again to colour in my images, they’re just so easy to use! Once I coloured them all in I die cut everything using the coordinating dies.
For my background today I wanted to create a sunset scene. But before I started colouring I wanted to make sure I had a sun in there. So I took something round in my craft room that was the perfect size and traced around it with a black marker and then went over it with a Versamarker pen to make it sticky so I could clear emboss over it, so it would look like my images – I love everything to match like that. So once the sun was drawn I needed to work on my sunset. So I looked up on google to get the correct colours for a sunset and I found one I liked with purples, pinks and oranges. I grabbed some colours from my Zig Clean Colour markers and scribbled them all over the background and then blended them out with water. For the sun I grabbed a couple of yellows and coloured that in as well. I now needed some water. So I grabbed the waves out of the same Island Getaway set and stamped down my waves on some watercolour paper also. I then coloured them in with some blue Zig markers. I blended out the colour with some water and dried it before sending it through my die cutting machine using the Wavy Borders die, which coordinates perfectly with the waves in the set. I left the waves to the side now and worked back on my sunset. I took some shimmer watercolour and splattered it over to create a fun shimmer look.
Now it was time to put the card together. I cut down all my pieces to fit and then started adhering. My first waves piece I adhered straight down to my card with some runner adhesive I then used some foam adhesive to pop up all my images onto my background. Once they were stuck down I adhered my last waves piece over top of the island scene a little bit. I popped up the entire panel on a piece of fun foam and adhered it to a white card base. Now that everything is adhered I worked on the sentiment. This is where the empty thongs came into it, I stamped out the ‘Wish You Were Here’ sentiment from the Island Getaway set on a piece of black cardstock and white heat embossed it. I adhered it down into my panel behind the little monkey girl. That was my card complete.
I hope you enjoyed my card today, make sure you check out the blog again this week to see all the other design team members projects – they’re going to be great!

Comfy Creatures Happy Graduation Card with Lexa
Hello everyone! Lexa here again with another graduation card but this time I use a sweet koala from Comfy Creatures as the star of my card. The hat from Woo Hoo fits perfectly on her. She looks sooo cute!
I made the background by cutting black cardstock into 1/2" stripes and arrange them on the white 4.25" x 5.5" card base. It might takes some time, but in the end it's all worth it. I stamped all the images on a piece of watercolor paper with my black Versafine ink and watercolored them with Distress Markers. I die-cut the tags on a pink and green paper to match the color of the koala, and I also die-cut the Star Border Die with a pink patterned paper for more fancy look.
Finally I arrange all the pieces together, stamped the sentiment in a piece of white cardstock and layered it with vellum underneath it. As you know that I love sequins, so I can't miss that for this one as well. :)
I hope you like it and thank you so much for reading.

Comfy Creatures Bananas For You Monkey Card with Vanessa
Hey everybody! Vanessa here with a happy banana card :)
The Comfy Creatures set is so cute with its adorable images and fun sentiments. Here is my card for today:
I started with a panel of watercolor paper that I had trimmed slightly smaller than a Kraft card base. I stamped the banana from the Comfy Creatures set and the banana from Summer Picnic repeatedly using archival ink, colored the panel with Peerless Watercolors and adhered it to the card. Now I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of turquoise cardstock and adhered it with foam tape. I stamped, colored and die-cut the head and the tail of the monkey and adhered them. Finally, I added yellow sequins to the card.
Bananas! It's so fun to create your own background with small stamps. I hope you liked today's inspiration, thank you so much for stopping by! Hope to see you again next week :)
