Tiki Time Card with Tina H

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and with one heatwave over we are already bracing ourselves for the next one! That is where a cool drink from the Tiki Time stamp and die set is much needed!

This card is all about happy and bright sunny colors, only the card base was kept white. The next layer is a fun yellow paper (Striped Silly) cut with the largest of the Rounded Rectangle Mat dies. I simply glued this piece to the card base before cutting a blue Stitched Arch with a paper from my stash. This will be my ‘sky’ background. I used the little island shape from Tropical Scenes as my beach.

Lastly, I stamped the bar image, two cute parrots and their drinks from the Tiki Time stamp set. I selected warm Copic colors and added a few highlights with a white gel pen.

I took a moment to decide where to put my sentiment since the card was already kind of busy. After browsing through my stash I found this sweet saying in the Inside Greetings Friends set and it was the perfect size to add to the front of the bar. I stamped the phrase on a piece of the same blue paper as my sky with Versafine Onyx Black ink. 

I used foam tape to add dimension to the sky, sand and images. And I love how these cute parrots are enjoying their fancy cool drinks! With lots going on already, I kept the bling part simple, just a few Champagne Clear Jewels were perfect!
