Grad Cat Gift Tags with Marine

Hello crafty friends! Marine here, I'm super happy to be back on the blog with those six graduation shaker tags showcasing the ever so cute kitty from Grad Cat. Love this sweet little guy so much I thought it would be fun to create a variety of cats with matching bow ties and books.

I started off by stamping six kitties, books and bow ties, all from Grad Cat, on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and Graph'it Brush markers. I colored each kitty in a different way to make each one of them unique, and once the coloring was done, I stamped a star, again from Grad Cat, on each book spine.

Next I created six shaker tags using the same process as the Meow & Furever tags I made back in January. The papers I used are from the Heroic Halftones paper pack, and these are perfect because they look like they're shining a light on each kitty that just graduated. So, I made those tags using the Mini Mat & Tags 3 die set, and to decorate the top I cut and glued a gold glitter star using a die from the Mini Mat & Tags 4 die set, and used gold thread from my stash to make handles.

I attached each kitty and book on their matching tags using 1mm foam squares, and then I created the greetings. I cut six speech bubbles out of matching cardstock using a die from the Comic Strip Speech Bubbles die set, next I cut six more speech bubbles out of gold glitter cardstock, I attached a gold glitter speech bubble behind each colored speech bubble, and then stuck the elements on the tags using 1mm foam squares again.

As always I finished the tags by adding highlights and details on the images and speech bubbles using a white gel pen. And that's it! I hope you like those cute and colorful graduation shaker tags. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see next time!

Grad Cat Card with Catherine

Hello Crafty Friends, Catherine here with you! It’s graduation time and today, I am sharing a card created with the cute Grad Cat Stamps and the new Notebook Tabs Dies.

To start, I die cut white cardstock with the largest die in Stitched Rectangle Dies. I ink blended the panel with Squeezed Lemonade and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides. I splattered some orange watercolor onto the bottom of the panel and blue watercolor onto the top of the panel. I sprayed some Gold Shimmer onto the panel for added interest.  I set the front panel aside to dry.

To make the notebook paper, I die cut some lined cardstock with Notebook Tabs Dies. I adhered black cardstock under neath the lined cardstock and glued the notebook paper onto the front panel at a slight angle.

I stamped the images from Grad Cat Stamps and die cut with the coordinating Grad Cat Dies. I added a mortar board and diploma from Woo Hoo Stamps, confetti from Bold Balloons, and stars from School Time Stamps. I colored the images with Copic Markers listed in my blog link below.

I finished off the card with a Congrats sentiment from Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies and a White Heat Embossed sentiment from Grad Cat Stamps.

Grad Cat Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here with a graduation theme card featuring the Grad Cat stamps and dies. The rainbow colors are because there are many various subjects and books during the school/Uni years :)

I started by creating a fun pastel color background by sponging tattered rose, worn lipstick, kitsch flamingo, tumbled glass and salvaged patina onto a white card. Flick some water and white paint to it. Stamp the solid stars for added interest. 

Stamp the books and the kitty image, color using copic markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies. I then added some details using a white gel pen.

Adhere this panel to a white card base. Stamp the sentiment and adhere the images using 3d foam. For the word "YOU", I used the thank you die from the Slimline Scalloped Frame die. Die-cut the word three times and stack it. Adhere to the card.

Grad Cat Card with Bobbi

Hello, Bobbi here! It’s graduation time. Whether it is a kindergarten or a college graduation, it’s that time of the year. Well this cute Grad Cat comes to the rescue. For a youngster or a young adult, Grad Cat can share appreciation and congratulatory wishes for the graduate in a clever and fun way. 

I’m using the following products from Sunny Studio Stamps:
Grad Cat stamps and coordinating dies
Crepe Paper Streamers dies
Bright Balloons dies
Hayley Uppercase Alphabet dies
Inside Greetings Congrats stamp set 
Subtle Grey Tones 6″ X 6″ paper pack

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I added a 5″ wide X 3-3/4″ tall neutral-striped pattern paper to the bottom section of my card base that measures 5″ wide X 6-1/4″ tall. Next, I stamped, colored and cut out the Grad Cat and a dozen books for the front. I colored the books using Copic Sketch Markers in the following colors: BG09, BG18, BG49, YR27, YR24, Y21, B93, B45, B41, R89, R39, YG67, YG17, YG03, Y28, and 100. I also used E09, E19, E53, E55, E43, R00, R20, 100, C7, and C5 for the graduate cat.

I positioned everything in place on the card front, overlapping the books in random piles. I attached a balloon at the top, allowing the balloon to extend 3/4″ beyond the top edge of the card. The balloon extension plus the length of the card base equals 7″ total so it can still fit inside an A7-size envelope. Everything was glued in place, including the balloon’s string.

I stamped the meow sentiment from the Grad Cat set and the “congratulations” from the Inside Greetings Congratulations stamp set on the front. I cut the “GRAD” letters using the Hayley Uppercase Alphabet dies, added highlight marks to the teal letters, using my white Gelly Roll pen, and added the word to the card front.

For graduations, I typically give money so inside, on the left panel, I added a leftover strip of the striped pattern paper to hold a gift card, cash or check so that the contents do not fall out when the card is opened. I also stamped more sentiments from the Inside Greetings Congrats stamp set and our cute cat to finish the card.

Tea-riffic Card with Cathy

Hey friends! Cathy here today and I've got a happy tea-themed card for you with a fun way of using the new Notebook Photo Corners Dies.

I've got a lot of scalloped and lacy features on this A2 card and I started with the ones on the bottom half of the card front. First, I cut a piece of light blue cardstock 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" and die-cut it using the center portion of the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Die. I cut a piece of dark turquoise cardstock 2 7/8" x 4 1/4" and adhered the light blue die-cut piece even with the bottom edge of the turquoise piece. (This leaves 1/8" of turquoise cardstock showing above the light blue piece) Next, I cut a strip of white cardstock 1/2" x 4 1/4" and inked it with Evergreen Bough Distress ink. I then die-cut the edge with a scalloped border die from the Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. I adhered this strip to the back side of the dark turquoise cardstock along the top edge leaving 1/4" of the scalloped edge visible.

Next, I cut a strip of dark turquoise cardstock 5/8" x 4 1/4" and die-cut it using the same scalloped border die. I cut a strip of white cardstock 1/4" x 4 1/4", inked it with Spun Sugar Distress ink and die-cut it using a lace border die from the Ribbon & Lace Border Dies. I adhered the pink strip to the turquoise strip and then adhered this combined piece along the top edge of the light blue cardstock.

Next, I cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white cardstock and die-cut 3 photo corners from white cardstock using the Notebook Photo Corners Dies. I adhered the photo corners along the top edge of the panel and then stamped the sentiment using stamps from both the Tea-rrific Stamps and the new Birthday Mouse Stamps.

To finish, I adhered the blue/turquoise/pink combined piece to the bottom of the white cardstock panel and then adhered the panel to an A2 card front. I die-cut 4 photo corners from pink cardstock and 1 from white cardstock and layered/adhered them together at the top of the pink lace strip. I stamped roses from the Special Day Stamps, colored them with Copics and fussy cut them out. I stamped the teacup and teapot from the Tea-rrific Stamps on Neenah Classic Crest solar white 80lb cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I also added cute faces to them using the Looking Sharp Stamps and Summer Sweets Stamps.
