Country Carnival Cards with Anja

Hi everyone, Anja here with you today and I'm excited to be guest designing with the latest Sunny Studio Summer Release. I'm sharing two cards made with the Country Carnival Stamps.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Country Carnival Cards by Anja Bytyqi (featuring Frilly Frame Dies)

On my first card, I created a fun carnival scene using the carousel, ticket booth, popcorn stand, balloons and bear images.

I started off with ink blending the background. To create a cotton candy colored sky, I used the Distress Oxide Inks Salvaged Patina, Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar. The ground was blended with Hickory Smoke ink. I die cut it with the stitched rectangle die from the Frilly Frames Retro Petals set. I stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink and adhered the background to the white A2 card base.

Next, I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies and adhered everything with liquid glue.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Country Carnival Cards by Anja Bytyqi (featuring Spring Showers, Chloe Alphabet Dies)

For my second card, I used the awesome ferris wheel and combined it with a couple of other images.

This time I created a portrait A2 card base from white cardstock and blended on some Salvaged Patina and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink in the background. For the two grass hills, I used Mowed Lawn and Shabby Shutters and die cut them with the Slimline Nature Border Dies.

I picked the girl and boy from the Spring Showers set as well as the small trees included in the Balloon Rides set. The images were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and I colored them with Copic Markers. I cut everything out with the coordinating dies.

I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto a black cardstock strip and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I also added the word 'FUN' which I die cut from colored and white cardstock using the Chloe Alphabet Dies. Finally, I assembled the scene by adhering the die cuts, sentiment and images.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you have an amazing day!

Watering Can Cards with Audrey and Vanessa

Hello Friends! Audrey here with a fun floral card for you!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Watering Can & Lovely Lilac Card by Audrey Tokach (featuring Quilted Heart Dies)

To create this card, I started off by die cutting the Quilted Hearts Portrait background from white cardstock and mounted it to a light grey card base. I stamped the Watering Can with a light and medium shade of grey ink and die cut it with the coordinating Watering Can dies. To fill the watering can, I stamped the Lovely Lilacs florals in several shades of purple and green ink, and die cut them with the coordinating Lovely Lilacs dies. I arranged the flowers, popping some foam tape for added dimension.

To ground the focal point, I added a strip of woodgrain cardstock to the bottom of the panel which I ink blended with Vintage Photo distress ink to add some different tones to the wood look. I popped the watering can up with foam tape, and added a trio of butterflies which can be found in the Watering Can set.

Then, I stamped a sentiment from Watering Can to a banner die cut and adhered it to the right side of the panel, overlapping the watering can. To finish off the card, I added some white gel pen accents and some Stickles glitter to the butterfly wings.

Hello to you! Vanessa here with an interactive card using the Watering Can set. On this card the fun is happening inside:

I wanted to make the beautiful butterflies the star of the show, so I stamped a whole lot of them. For this, I used Koi Watercolor Pens, colored the solid stamp with various colors, spritzed the stamp with water and stamped. The result looked messy first, but with the black outlines it turned out pretty.

These are the sets I used:
Watering Can stamps + dies
Lovely Lilacs stamps + dies
Stitched Circle Large Dies

I started with a grey card base and splattered white paint droplets to the inside and outside of it. After I had stamped all images, I die-cut the pieces with the matching dies. Now I die-cut a circle from clear cardstock and cut a spiral out of it. This spiral is the base for the flying butterflies. I adhered the center of the spiral to the bottom part of the card and the outer point to the top part of the card. Then I added the butterflies and adhered the images to the front of the card.

To make the inside a bigger surprise, I kept the front really simple. Because the lilacs and the watering can are layering stamps without outlines, it didn't fit the butterfly with the black details. So I simply used a black marker and added my own outlines to make the butterfly match better.

Have a lovely day everybody!

Swimming Pool Die Focused Cards by Marieke and Marine

Hello Sunny Studio friends, Marieke here. Today I hope to inspire you with a slimline shaker card using the Swimming Pool Die

Sunny Studio Stamps: Swimming Pool Die Focused Card by Marieke Slaats (featuring Sending Sunshine, Sunshine Word Die, Kiddie Pool)

So first I started with the wooden deck. Using wood grain specialty paper I cut the slimline rectangle. Then cut strips of 1/4 inch and cut some in three pieces and the other ones in two pieces. Ink Blended each of them using Walnut Stain Distress inkt and glued them on another kraft rectangle.

Die cut the Swimming Pool die out of the middle and adhered some acetate behind it. Cut a slightly smaller blue rectangle, traced it on the back of the kraft rectangle and added some foam tape on the back of the kraft rectangle and "closed" the swimming pool so it would turn into a shaker compartment. Filled the compartment with sequins and closed it using the blue rectangle.

Used Copic Colors:
Swimming Pool - C1, C00, 0
Purple - BV17, BV04, BV13, BV02
Yellow - Y17, Y15, Y13
Teal - BG15, BG13, BG11
Pink - RV06, RV04, RV02
Green - YG67, YG03, YG01
White - C5, C3, C1, C00, 0
Tree Trunks - E47, E44, E43
Chairs - E37, E35, E33, E31
Skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E04 / R22, R20
Blond hair - YR24, YR23, Y21, Y11
Brown Hair (girl) - E37, E35, E33, E31
Black / Brown Hair - W9, W6, W5, W3
Brown Hair (boy) - E59, E57, E55, E53

Die cut the Swimming Pool die 4 times out of white cardstock and on one of them I added some grey details using my Copic markers. Adhered them together, die cut the stairs out of silver cardstock and glued it on to the swimming pool.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Swimming Pool Die Focused Card by Marieke Slaats (featuring Sending Sunshine, Sunshine Word Die, Kiddie Pool)

Stamped the images of Kiddie PoolSending SunshineTropical Scenes stamps. Colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching dies or cut them by hand. Adhered all the images onto the cardbase using foam tape.

Heat set the sentiment out of Sending Sunshine on some yellow cardstock and cut it into a smaller strip. Die cut the larger word four times out of link cardstock using the Sunshine Word die, glued them together and added some white gel pen details. Stamped the sentiment from the Kiddie Pool on some white cardstock and cut it using a speech bubble die.

Adhered the shaker onto a 1/2 inch larger white rectangle. Cut a top fold white base card 1/3 larger than the white rectangle and added the paper out of the Sleek Stripes Paper Pad. Adhered everything onto the base card using double sided tape and my card was all done.

Hey crafty friends! Marine here with you today, back with three little frogs having fun around the pond! I used the Swimming Pool die to create the pond, as well as some images from different sets to make this cute scene:

Sunny Studio Stamps: Swimming Pool Die Focused Card by Marine Simon (featuring Country Scenes, Feeling Froggy)

I stamped all those cute images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, coloring them using my alcohol markers, and cut everything using the coordinating dies.

For the background, I first cut a 5,5" x 4,25" bristol panel, and I used grass stencils along with mowed lawn + rustic wilderness distress oxide inks to create a large grass section on half of the panel. And on the rest of the panel, I created the sky using a cloud stencil along with tumbled glass + salty ocean distress oxide inks.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Swimming Pool Die Focused Card by Marine Simon (featuring Country Scenes, Feeling Froggy)

Next I cut the Swimming Pool element, and I wanted the pond to look natural, so I colored it using grey markers to give it some stone effect. And to make the water inside the pond, I placed the die on a piece of bristol cardstock, traced the shape on the paper, fussy cut it, and then I colored that element using shabby shutters + broken china distress oxide inks.

I attached my pond border on the water element using foam squares, and then I stuck the whole piece on the panel using liquid glue. I cut around the frog images to get rid of the lily pads, and next I attached all my cute images on the panel around the pond using foam squares and glue dots.

For the sentiment, I stamped the words "You're" & "Awesome" on the top part of the panel, and between those words, I glued some letters that I cut using the Chloe Alphabet die set to finally read "You're froggin' awesome".

I finished my card by attaching the panel on a kraft card base and adding white details and highlights on the images, and that's it! We have a cute and fun little scene, and I hope that you like it! As always, feel welcome to check the process video for more details (click the image above). Thanks for stopping by and see you next week!

Ocean View Cards with Alma and Gladys

Hello, this is Alma and I would like to spend a day with you at the dream beach today! For today's card I've chosen a square format.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Ocean View Summer Themed Card by Alma Störk (featuring Beach Buddies, Catch A Wave, Slimline Dies)

In the center of my card is the awesome beach image from the Ocean View Stamps set, which I coloured with Copics and punched out with the Ocean View dies. To make the beach look even more fabulous, I chose a rainbow coloured background. To do this, I gently wiped the background with the Distress Oxide Inks shades Peacock Feathers, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, Wild Honey and Worn Lipstick. Then I punched a stencil with the cloud die from the Slimline Nature Border Dies set and applied a layer of clouds with the same colour tones. I then sprinkled water on it to add texture to the background. Finally I set some highlights with the white gel pen.

Then for the foreground I punched waves with the Catch a Wave Dies and coloured them with Distress Oxide Inks 'Mermaid Lagoon'. I then coloured the characters from the Beach Buddies Stamps set. After that I assembled all the individual parts and stamped the text Summer Sunshine from the same set.

Don't you want to enjoy the day in the water with these cute characters?!

------------------------------------------

Hello crafty friends! Gladys here sharing a beach scene card featuring the Ocean View stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Ocean View Summer Themed Card by Gladys Marcelino (featuring Wedded Bliss, Inside Greetings)

To begin I stamped and colored the ocean backdrop image. I only used part of the image as a backdrop for a wedding scene. Then I cut the image using the coordinating dies. I cut it again using a basic stitched rectangle die to have the stitching all around. Next I stamped the cute married penguin couple from Wedded Bliss, colored them with Copic markers then cut using the matching dies.

For the sky background I used distress oxide inks in faded jeans, kitsch flamingo and tattered rose. I adhered the ocean image on the inked panel using liquid glue. Then I backed the penguins with foam tape to add dimension. To complete the scene I added a few clouds in the sky. Finally I stamped the sentiment using the Inside Greetings Congrats stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
