Christmas Cards with Leanne and Mendi

Happy December everyone! Leanne here, and today I have a CAS Holiday card to share (well, clean and simple by my standards anyway). This card features images from Holy Night. I really thought these images could stand on their own against a very neutral background. I have always loved how soft and natural kraft cardstock looks and thought it was the perfect backdrop for this scene.   

I trimmed the panel of kraft card stock slightly smaller than my A2 card base. I used a blending brush and some white pigment ink to frost the outer edges of the kraft panel. I then spattered it with thinned white paint. I Copic colored the images from Holy Night.  

Copics used: E41, E42, E43, E71, E74, E77, E30, E31, E35, Y32, Y26, Y28, E84, E000, E00, C1, C3, N2, N4, R81, R83, G40, G43, B21, B24

I die cut them with the coordinating Holy Night dies. I adhered the images to the center of the background panel with foam squares. I stamped the sentiment just below the scene. This acts as a ground so the scene doesn't look like its floating. Lastly, I tied white and silver baker's twine around the top of the card just below the fold.

Hi there! Mendi here with Christmas card using some scraps leftover on my desk from our Holiday Sneak Peek week and I couldn't let the holidays pass without sharing it.  

For this card I used the poinsettia, holly, berries and tree sprigs from our Classy Christmas Stamps which I stamped with clear VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Hero Arts White Detail Embossing powder. I then "watercolored" my images using Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I use quotation marks because I'm not sure if my coloring can be classified as true watercoloring and I made such a mess that I elected to fussy cut my images because my coloring went so far outside the lines. I love that even the worst results can be made beautiful again though by cutting off the ugly parts. 

For my tree sprigs, I stamped them out using PinkFresh Studio inks (linked below) and die-cut them using the matching Classy Christmas dies.  I had a scalloped mat on my desk from our Frilly Frames Hexagon dies that had gotten bent in the center, but rather than throw it out, I cut it off on either side of the bend and created the look of a gate-fold card. I finished my card by applying some clear droplets by Studio Katia (also linked below) and sentiment stamped from our Holiday Cheer Stamps.

Retro Ornaments Cards with Ashley and Mayra

Hello friends! It's Ashley with a new Christmas card featuring the layering set Retro Ornaments! I couldn't resist trying them out with some bright, less traditional colors! I combined them with the Christmas Garland Frame from last year and am loving the result!

I started by stamping the ornaments from Retro Ornaments in a variety of colors using Pinkfresh Studio inks. I love that these inks are in the Sunny Studio shop! They come in four color sets that make layered stamping a breeze! I used a Quickie Glue pen to emboss some silver glitter details on each ornament, then cut them out with the matching dies.

I blended some light blue inks from Pinkfresh Studio onto white cardstock and splattered it with a bit of silver watercolor, making it heavy on the blue area. I stamped the ornament strings in gray, then added a white Christmas Garland Frame. I added the ornaments to the card with foam tape for a bit of dimension. For my sentiment, I die cut the "Merry Christmas" from Christmas Garland Frame once from silver glitter cardstock and twice from white cardstock. I glued the layers together then added it to my card. I finished with a few White Pearls and some blues from Rainbow Pearls for a little extra something.

Hello everyone, Mayra here with you today. Can you believe it is the last day of November?! Have you been working on your Christmas cards? I have been, and I am enjoying the different designs. I will have a variety to choose from when giving them out.

For my card today, I used the lovely Retro Ornaments stamp set, along with the beautiful Classy Christmas and Season's Greetings stamps. I began by stamping the ornaments I would be using from the set onto plain white cardstock using Ranger Archival Ink in Carnation Red. After allowing the ink to dry I heat embossed the ornament holder using silver embossing powder. 

I decided to add a bit more dimension to each of the ornaments by going over the inked areas with Copic markers. I used R59, R46, R17, and R05. I also used Copic markers to color in the images from the Classy Christmas set. Next, I stamped the sentiment from the Season's Greetings stamp set using black ink. I then assembled my card. I used the Slimline Scalloped Frame dies set for the base of my card.

Christmas Cookies Gingerbread Men Cards with Mendi

Hi there!  I hope you have been enjoying a wonderful holiday weekend. I couldn't let the week pass without joining in the fun and sharing a couple cards of my own using the Christmas Cookies mini stamps and dies that you can receive free with purchase through tomorrow. 

For my first card I pulled out our Background Basics Stamps to create my red gingham borders. To add a little trim to my edge, I added the gumdrop borders, stamping them twice for both the top and bottom using our Jolly Gingerbread Stamps. I then used that same set to stamp my house with my tree cookies, inking up behind them with some Evergreen Bough distress ink using my favorite Jumbo Dauber. 

I finished my card by adding some white highlights with a Sharpie White Extra Fine Paint Pen and stamping my sentiment with VersaMark ink before heat embossing it with Hero Arts detail white embossing powder (linked below).

For my next card using the Christmas Cookies Stamps. I wanted to make my card base mimic the feel of a gingerbread cookie with white scalloped icing so I cut my background from some kraft cardstock which I die-cut using our Window Quad Circle Dies. To create scalloped decorative edge I used three separate dies from our Slimline Basic Border Dies set. I backed my gingerbread men with a piece of pink snowflake print paper from our Holiday Cheer Paper pack, once again adding white highlights with my Sharpie white paint pen.

Christmas Cookies Gift Tags with Tammy

Hi friends! Tammy here, sharing this holiday gift idea, featuring the set Christmas Cookies. This is an exclusive "free set with purchase", so act quickly because it's a cute one!!

I love making handmade gifts for neighbors, teachers and friends for the holidays. This year, I decided to make a fun gift; perfect for bakers or non-bakers, lol! Included is a gingerbread cookie mix and wooden spoon, tucked inside a kitchen mitt. I added some fun striped ribbon and tied on a handmade shaker tag for an adorable and wallet-friendly gift (around $5 each).

To create the shaker tags, I used the Scalloped Tag Circle Dies to cut my tag base from the Holiday Cheer 6X6 Paper. Next, I cut 5 white scalloped circles with the Fancy Frames Circle Dies, and glued 4 together and attached it to my tag. I then cut a circle from acetate and attached it to the backside of the extra white frame I cut. I added some Peppermint Confetti and Neapolitan Sprinkles (yes, I picked out the brown and white sprinkles, lol) before sealing my shaker with double sided tape.

Next, I stamped and colored the images from Christmas Cookies and die cut with the coordinating dies. Copic Colors Used: Brown: E35, E55, E31, E50; Red: R89, R27, R24, R14; Green: YG17, YG13, YG01

To complete my project, I stamped the sentiment onto a a strip kraft cardstock, attached it to the tags, and added the sweet Ginger people. That's it! Such a fun and easy gift that the recipient will be sure to love!
