Hello! Candice back with you this Friday and I love how the new Slimline Pennant dies line up to create a frame and that is how I used it on my shaker card today!
I used these Sunny Studio products to create my slimline shaker card:
- Balloon Rides stamps & coordinating dies
- Meow & Furever stamps & coordinating dies (hearts)
- Slimline Pennant dies
- Fluffy Clouds dies
I began my slimline with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base. For the
background, I die cut the large pennant from Bristrol Smooth
cardstock, inked it with cracked pistachio, twisted citron and antique linen
and added a few of the stitched clouds.
I then created the shaker by using the two largest slimline pennants taped together with the Bristol Smooth cardstock, adhered the acetate behind the frame, added all the green sequins onto the inked panel and used double foam tape to close it up. Next, I stamped the balloons, critters, clouds and hearts, colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I used strong adhesive and foam tape to add them over the acetate and the sentiment on a banner to finish the card!
Thank you for visiting today!

Hi there, Kay here to share a card I made with the fun new Slimline Pennants dies. I had to use the Captivating Camellias stamp set and coordinating dies along with
them because they just stamp up so pretty! Plus I wanted to try some different
color combinations! So fun!
So for my card, I blended some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink onto white card stock and cut that out with the middle size pennant die. I then used the same die and cut a piece of Lawn Fawn Guava cardstock. I used two of the additional dies in the set to cut the scalloped edge and stitching. I layered this beneath the piece that I had ink blended.
I stamped the flowers using four shades of ink from Pinkfresh: Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Berrylicious and Candy Apple. The leaves were stamped with Fresh Pear and Olive from Pinkfresh and Artichoke from Lawn Fawn. These were all cut out with the coordinating dies and added to the card with foam tape. The sentiment is from the new Inside Greetings Sympathy stamp set and I stamped it below the flowers with black ink. I also added a few small white pearls along the scallops at the bottom and a few around the flowers as well.
I hope you have enjoyed my card today! Thanks so much for
stopping by!
