Today I'm sharing a new 4x6 Stamp set called Woodsy Autumn and it coordinating dies, along with a brand new 6x6 Double Sided Patterned Paper collection for fall called Colorful Autumn.
Card No. 1: For my first card of the day I paired the new Woodsy Autumn stamps with a rainbow stripe from our previously released Surprise Party 6x6 Paper pack. To ground the cute critters I used our Window Trio Square dies, coloring the openings with a bit of Carved Pumpkin, Mermaid Lagoon & Twisted Citron distress inks to create a glow behind my stamped images. I then added a decorative zig-zag edge to my panel using our Ric Rac Border dies. As a final finishing touch, I stamped my sentiment with Versamark ink onto a strip of black cardstock and heat embossed it with white opaque embossing powder. Love how bright and cheerful it turned out!
Card No.2: Up next I created a fall Thanksgiving scene using the fox and tree from the new stamp set, paired together with the deer, hedgehog and squirrel from our Critter Campout Stamps. To turn them into Pilgrims and a Native American, I added the hat and headband from our Woodsy Creature stamps. A tree stump and pumpkins from our Happy Harvest Stamps completed my little scene. To ground my animals, I used a post-it note to mask off my ground and inked below it with a little Tea Dye distress ink. I then stamped my sentiment using our Happy Thoughts Stamps. This was such a fun card to make and I just love how it looks with the new Colorful Autumn Paper!
To frame my little scene I used our Fancy Frames Circle dies and then used the long edge of our Fancy Frames Rectangles dies to create a coordinating border. For my card background I used the new tone-on-tone leaf print from the new Colorful Autumn Paper and paired it a red gingham print from the Classic Gingham Paper pack. As a final finishing touch, I embellished my card with three little hearts from our Red & Pink Heart Confetti which I adhered with some liquid Multi Medium Matte.
Card No.4: This card was created for a local scrapbook store challenge where they provide two small swatches of patterned paper, cardstock, and rhinestones and we must use a little bit of everything in the pack for the challenge. It was a summer themed challenge so the main paper is a darling fish print paper from Bella Blvd's Splash Zone collection, but I wanted to challenge myself to create something with it for this release so I used the scalloped print on the back with our new little owl from the Woodsy Autumn stamps.
This new little owl looks adorable with the larger owl from our Happy Owl-o-ween Stamps! To make the larger owl match with his own hat and scarf, I borrowed them from the penguin in our Bundled Up Stamps. I was tickled to discover they fit him perfectly! I just love how the two little owls can look each other in the eyes! To ground my little owls I used the tree branch from our Woo Hoo Stamps and inked up some clouds from our new Fluffy Clouds Border dies shared yesterday. Once again I turned to our Fancy Frames Circle dies to frame my scene and our new Comic Strip Speech Bubbles Dies for my sentiment (which will be shared more on Thursday).
Card No.5: Up next is another red, green and white card highlighting the darling toadstool house, mushroom pair and hedgehog from the new stamp set. I paired them with another toadstool house and mushroom from our Backyard Bugs Stamps. Don't they look cute together? I love how they add variety to my mushroom neighborhood!
For my stitched mat I used a new Frilly Frames die which will be unveiled fully on Friday called Frilly Frames Retro Petals. To ink up my sky and grass, I masked off a smaller rectangle with some Purple Tape and then flicked on some grass with my Copic Markers. This is a great activity while watching tv. It's sort of therapeutic and it's so fun to see if fill in as you add your different layers of color!
I finished my card by heat embossing my greeting using a sentiment from the set and then mounted it onto a piece of red polka-dot embossed cardstock using our new Lots of Dots 6x6 Embossing Folder which will be shared more tomorrow. :)
Card No.6: For my last card of the day I used the darling little bunny with the umbrella, pairing her with the girl from our Fall Kiddos Stamps. They were just begging to be used together! For my background I cut 4 strips of rainbow striped paper from our Rainbow Bright Paper pack and mitered the corners so you can see rainbows on all four sides.
This time I turned to another new stitched scallop frame called Frilly Frames Hexagon Dies and masked off another rectangle with purple tape. I then inked up my background with stormy sky distress ink, using a post-it note to mask off the ground so that ink could be applied more heavily below. For my puddle I used an image from our Rain or Shine Stamps which I colored with Copics using a "no line" coloring technique and then repeatedly stamped the rainy background from our Rain Showers Stamps.
I completed my card with a greeting from our Over The Rainbow Stamps and our Rainbow Word die. I cut my word using Heidi Swapp extra wide glitter washi tape which had been mounted to a piece of red cardstock for stability. I then cut a couple of additional layers from red cardstock, stacking them and adhering them together with a glue pen. I love how it gives the look of glittered chipboard. You could also achieve a similar look by using red Stickles glitter glue.

ReplyDeleteFall is one of my favorite seasons, and the little critters in your fall release have stolen my heart Sunny Studios team! My favorite way to color is with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, and I can't wait to get my hands on this release. Love all of these cards as well--looking at them just makes me happy!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the autumn paper pack.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE fall! That paper pack looks adorable, as do your cute little animals!
ReplyDeleteI also usually color with Copics but I should watercolor more since I'm pretty good at that medium. Loving all these fabulous cards!

ReplyDeleteI like fall, then it's simply the most colorful season. And that's also the new autumn paper.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could get in a rut with copics, but I don't have any! Haha. I prefer to buy stamps where I don't have to do any coloring, but for those that require some coloring, I use coloring pencils.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving this new release! Excited to see more as the week goes on! 😊
Awe, so sweet!
ReplyDeleteWell, I like coloring with the few Copics I have. I am not very good at all and only do minimal coloring, but it works okay with me. YOUR coloring is just awe-mazing! Love those woodland critters and all the ways you have colored them.
ReplyDeleteI most frequently color with alcohol markers (Promarkers, and a few Copics). I would love to get better (at those) coloring with my colored pencils, and various water color mediums that I have.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards, my fave is the owls that you created for the scrapbook store challenge. The teal and brown is gorgeous. My fav coloring medium is watercolor.
ReplyDeleteI think I may break the bank on Friday. I absolutely love these.

ReplyDeleteYou have to pick me - my wish list has now reached overwhelming proportions. I have too many things i "need" so please pick me. . .maybe twice. . .
ReplyDeleteAdorable card! I don't own any copics currently so I mainly stick to my Tombow dualbrush markers or colored pencils. Your coloring was beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of coloring. I use either colored pencils or Spectrum Noir markers when I do.
ReplyDeleteThose hedgies!!! *love* I'm totally a copics girl!
ReplyDeleteI love using my copics to color!
ReplyDeleteAlcohol markers, for sure! But I use about 6 different companies' brands of alcohol markers. The colors blend really well.

ReplyDeleteI just wish my brain had just a tad of your talent for creating a scene. You do beautiful work. The new stamps are wonderful. I receive such lovely compliments when I use your stamps and dies to create cards. But, I am sure it takes me a much longer time to make them. Anyway....thank you so much for always sharing your lovely work. I love it. Big hugs!
