Winter Scenes Card with Bobbi

Hello friends! It’s Bobbi and I am sharing a card today that features the Winter Scene stamps and dies. These stamps set the stage for many different wintery fun scenes like ice skating on a lake, a penguin habitat complete with an igloo, adorable log cabins nestled in the woods, a ski resort and more. For my card, I am using the scene stamps to create a winter wonderland for a pair of happy snow people. They’re enjoying a colorful snowfall from above. The snowmen are from the set called Snowman Kisses.

To make this 5″ X 7″ card, I stamped the background scene using the Winter Scene stamps. My card is 7″ wide so I extended the lines and stamped a singular tree on each side of the scene to fill the gaps and extend the scene to 7 inches. Because I plan to send this card in the mail, I stamped the snowmen right on the front panel (i.e., for a one-layer card) to avoid any unnecessary bulk on the card front. I colored the background and foreground using Copic Sketch Markers. 

You’ll notice that I shaded below the trees and snowmen for dimension. I like to use  blue-violet and blue colors for the shadows on snow. It helps to ground the images, too. I typically use B00, B000, B0000, BV000, BV00, and BV13. Everything else was colored in bright colors.

To complete the card, I stamped the “happy holidays” sentiment from the Holiday Greetings stamp set in two shades of pink and cut it using the coordinating dies. I attached the sentiment in the lower right corner. Lastly, I added colorful snow that reminds me of candy sprinkles on a Christmas cookie. I love that the snow people have their hands extended out to catch the falling snowflakes!

Merry Mocha Tags with Tammy

Hello friends! Tammy here with some fun Holiday tags featuring the adorable set, Merry Mocha. This set is a FREE gift with purchase for a limited time, while supplies last, so go get yours today! 

To begin, I stamped the images from Merry Mocha, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Merry Mocha dies. 

Next, I cut three white tags using the Scalloped Square Tag Dies. I then attached candy cane striped patterned paper, from the Joyful Holiday Paper, to fit inside the stitched squares. I then layered a black cardstock square, that I white heat embossed with the fun sentiment from the Merry Mocha set.

Next, I attached the die cut mugs to the tags using foam tape for dimension. I added white die cut snowflakes, cut using the Basic Mini Shape Dies 2, then added some red and white bakers twine to finish up my tags!

Black Friday Exclusive: Merry Mocha Card Ideas with Mendi

Hello & welcome!  I'm excited to be joining in the Black Friday fun with several card ideas featuring our new little Merry Mocha Stamps and Dies which aren't available for purchase this year but can be received as a free gift with a $45+ purchase through Monday, November 27 (see below for full promotion details). 

Card No. 1: For my first Merry Mocha card I started by cutting out my red striped, scalloped mat by combining the inside portion of our Frilly Frames Stripes Dies with the outside portion of our Frilly Frames Hexagon Dies. I then backed it with white cardstock and mounted it onto an A2-sized kraft cardstock panel. I then cut a Large Stitched Circle and mini gift tag from our Sweet Treats Gift Bag Dies, inking them both along the edges using Tea Dye Distress ink.

To create my grouping of three unique hot drinks, I paired the Merry Mocha mug with the cups and sugar cookie from our Mug Hugs Stamps. I then heat embossed the "warm wishes" greeting from our Alpaca Holiday Stamps, tying the tag with red baker's twine to slip around one of my mug handles and securing it on the back before adhering the mug to my card with foam tape.

Card No. 2: For my next card featuring the Merry Mocha Stamps, I used the cute script greeting from the set with the coordinating dies (that come with purchases of $75 or more). I paired the drink with an extra candy cane and gingerbread man from our Baking Spirits Bright Stamps and mounted them onto a scalloped mat cut using our Mini Mat & Tag 2 Dies. I layered a slightly smaller piece of green cardstock beneath to peek out behind the eyelet lace scallops and then mounted them onto a red and white snowflake print from our Joyful Holiday Paper pack.

Card No. 3 & 4: Up next is a card set featuring the same card design with the Merry Mocha Stamps in two different color palettes. For both cards, I started by adhering a small pale grey striped patterned paper to my background using a print from our Subtle Grey Tones Paper pack. 

I then cut an elongated Scalloped Tag from Joyful Holiday tone-on-tone snowflake patterned papers using our Scalloped Square Tag Dies. To achieve this I partially cut the top portion of the tag while hanging the bottom portion of the die off the cutting plate, I then flipped the die over and hung the top half off my cutting plate, matching up the scallops and securing the die with washi tape to help me keep them straight. Once you've done this trick a couple times, it becomes super easy to do, looks like the die came that way, and really makes you look at your die stash with a fresh eye.

Blue Card: For my sentiments on each card, I heat embossed the word "warm" using our Heartfelt Wishes Stamps, pairing them with our Wishes Word Die cut from a pink Pastel Gingham Paper to match my pink mug.

Pink Card: To add a little interest behind each of my mugs, I framed them with our Small Stitched Circle Dies and added some twigs and leaves from our Winter Greenery Dies. For this particular card, I matched my aqua mug to the Wishes Word cut from an aqua grid print from our Classic Gingham Paper pack.

Merry Mocha Card with Tina

Hello crafty friends, it’s Tina with a very adorable Christmas card featuring the sweet Merry Mocha stamp and die set! And who better to add to a ‘Merry’ card than five cuties from Penguin Party. I always had a soft spot for these little guys, so I was thrilled to let them join the festivities!

For my base panel I die cut a piece of white Neenah paper with the largest of the Stitched Semi Circles. Sometimes I feel a bit intimidated to create a full A2 size scene. Using a smaller shape as your focal point really comes in handy to limit that space. It’s a technique I love to use on my cards. Next, I added some fun texture to this white piece by dry embossing it with the Lots of Dots embossing folder.

I created a white card base and added a beautiful red plaid paper from the All Is Bright pad cut with the outer die from the Frilly Frames Stripes die. This instantly provides a pop of color!

After stamping and die cutting all my images, I used my trusty Copics for the coloring. Going for the traditional holiday colors this time. Since you can never have enough sparkle, I added some white glitter to the brim of the hats, pompoms, and candy canes.

Before placing the penguins onto the white semi-circle, I masked off the bottom portion and inked it with some Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide ink. My sentiment is from the Merry Mocha set and I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

To assemble the card, I glued my white panel to the card base, added all the critters and the cute mug. Finally, I mounted the sentiment to the left corner with some foam tape. A few Chrystal Clear jewels were added as embellishments. These are by far my favorite gems as they go with so many designs!
