Hayley Alphabet Focused Cards with Waleska and Marine

Hey crafty friends! Marine here, so happy to be back on the blog with a busy but yet super cute slimline card featuring a lovely tiger family + a whole bunch of images, as well as the new Hayley Lowercase Alphabet.

First, I cut an 8,5" x 3,5" bristol panel, and created a jungle/tropical landscape using stencils and oxide inks. I divided my panel into several parts, and worked my way from the bottom towards the top. At the very bottom: a swamp using salvaged patina + peacock feathers oxide inks. Above that swamp: two hills and mountains using mowed lawn + rustic wilderness oxide inks. And above the mountains: the sky using squeezed lemonade + carved pumpkin oxide inks.

Once the landscape was done, I moved on to the coloring, and stamped all my images on white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my alcohol markers. Here's a detailed list of the stamps I used:

- kitties from Purrfect Birthday + Balloon Rides + Beach Buddies to make tigers
- grass details from Garden Critters
- the branch from Outback Critters
- rocks from Fintastic Friends + Savanna Safari
- leaves from Best Fishes
- the snow bank from Bear Hugs to make a grassy platform in the middle the swamp
- the tree trunk from Seasonal Trees
- the tropical birds from Tiki Time
- tropical leaves and flowers from Fabulous Flamingos
- the leaves and ivy from Tropical Scenes

Next I attached all the images on my panel using 1mm foam squares mostly, as well as 3mm glue dots and liquid glue.

I used the new Hayley Lowercase Alphabet to cut some letters and create the word "Wild". I cut those letters twice: in aqua and in white, and I glued the white letters at the back of the aqua ones to create an outline. Attached the letters on the sky section using liquid glue, and stamped the words "About You" from Squirrel Friends right below to finally read "Wild about you".

And as always, I added highlights and details on the images using a white gel pen. And that's it! I hope that you like this new tropical and super cute scene. Hello Friends, Waleska here. Are you ready for more inspiration using the latest release? What new products are you enjoying? Today I want to share with you a super sweet card using two new products, the Panda Party Stamps and the Hayley Alphabet dies.

To create this card I started by choosing the color palette, to do that I got inspiration from the beautiful Spring Fever paper pad, the beautiful pastel colors made me think of a fun panda birthday party. I cut a white panel with the Stitched Rectangle dies and inked some clouds trying to coordinate the same pastel colors with Oxide Inks, Squeezed Lemonade, Shaded Lilac, Wild Honey and Peacock Feathers. I used some sparkle watercolor too.

I then stamped and color the sweetest little pandas and adhere them to the clouds. I added some birthday hats using the same paper I used as inspiration. I finally cut the letters to form the word Birthday, and to add some dimension I adhered three of each letters and I form the word. To finish my card I cut a panel slightly bigger of my card from the pattern paper to tie all the colors and design. I simply adore this pandas they look so cute and they can be used for so many different occasions.

Clucky Chickens Cards with Catherine and Marie

Hello Crafty Friends! Catherine here and I am so “eggcited” to share a Slimline card created with the adorable Clucky Chickens Stamps!

To start, I trimmed two pieces (A) and (B) of white cardstock to 3 ½” x 8 ½”. To make the square window openings, I die cut three squares using a 2 ¼” square die. I traced the area where I wanted the square windows onto the cardstock making sure that the squares were centered (A). I adhered acetate onto the back of (A). I added white frames by taping together a 2 ¼’ square die and a 2” square die and running it through my die cut machine with white cardstock.

I made a cloud stencil using the cloud from Slimline Nature Borders Dies. I placed (A) on top of (B) and ink blended both with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide using the stencil. I splattered some blue watercolor onto both for interest.

For the grass, I die cut white cardstock using the grass from Slimline Nature Borders Dies. I ink blended the grass with Twisted Citron, Shabby Shutters, and Antique Linen Distress Oxides and splattered some green watercolor. I adhered the grass onto the bottom of (A).

I added some fun shaker elements with Birthday Cake Dot Sprinkles and Iridescent Clear Jewels onto the window areas on (B) and adhered (A) on top of (B) using foam tape.

I stamped and die cut the cute chickens and chicken coops using Clucky Chickens Stamps and Clucky Chicken Dies. I added presents from Turtley Awesome and Happy Owlidays, birthday cupcake and bunting from Panda Party, and balloons from Bear Hugs. I colored all the images with Copic Markers listed in my blog link below. I finished off the card with a White Heat Embossed Sentiment from Clucky Chickens Stamps.

Hello Crafty Friends, Marie here with you! I hope you've been having a great new year so far ! I'm super excited that with a new year comes a brand new 2023 Spring Release from Sunny Studio Stamps! I am a huge fan of everything Spring themed and this Spring Collection is jam packed with so many fabulous things one of which is the Clucky Chickens Stamps. I am happy to be featuring this stamp set along with some floral elements from the new Garden Critters Stamps.  

For today's project inspiration, I created a Mom appreciation platform pop-up card using Lawn Fawn's Platform Pop-Up Die. To create this card, I die cut all the needed pieces from bristol smooth cardstock paper. I also die cut some decorative paper from the brand new Spring Fever Paper. 

After die cutting all the pieces, I ink blended everything starting with the background panel done using a sky stencil and ink blending with Distress Oxide in the color  'Kitsch Flamingo'. The grass was inked using a combination of 'Bundled Sage' and 'Mowed Lawn' Distress Oxide. The inside platform was inked using 'Vintage Photo' Distress Oxide and 'Walnut Stain' Distress Ink. This combination is perfect for soil and with a few walnut stain splatters creates some nice textured dirt.  I used 'Salvaged Patina' Distress Oxide on the base for a pretty shade of aqua. 

Next step was stamping out all my images from the Clucky Chickens Stamps and the Garden Critters Stamps. I used Antique Linen Distress Ink on watercolor paper, then I cut out my images using the Clucky Chickens Dies and the Garden Critters Dies. 

Finally, I used a dark pink dye ink to stamp my sentiment on the pink pattern paper from the Spring Fever Paper. I adhered all the images using a combination of double sided tape adhesive and Bearly Art Precision craft glue. And that does it for another card inspiration! Creating this card was so fun and seeing it in its finished state makes me so happy. I can't wait to give this one to my mom! She's going to love all the tiny chickies! Rainy Days Cards with Lien and Isha

Hi crafty friends! It's Lien here today on the Sunny Studio blog with a clean and simple miss you card. 

For this card I'm using the Rainy Days die set. I cut the umbrella a few times from white cardstock and then cut each part out of a different colored cardstock to make a rainbow umbrella. I glued all of those together with liquid adhesive and set it aside while working on my background.

I wanted a sort of split card design for this, I make those quite often because it's a great way to step up your clean and simple cards. I only need a small strip of a colored background so I took a scrap of watercolor cardstock and went to town on it with my Distress Spray Stains and some water in a spray bottle. I made sure the top of the strip was darker than the bottom for that rainy sky effect and let it dry completely.

I also used the Ribbon & Lace dies to cut a border in both my white cardstock pieces to layer on top of my rainy background. I added foam tape to the back of the white pieces to prop them up a little and did the same for the umbrella.

To finish this card I added a sentiment strip from the Breakfast Puns stamp set and a few Iridescent Bubbles embellishments.

Hello everyone, Isha here! Last week was so much fun with tons of inspiration by Mendi featuring all the new release products. Love everything as always. Today I am featuring the Rainy Days dies. What I like the most is that it is so easy to combine these with the other stamps and dies.

This is a one layer card with images adhered using 3d foam for dimension. To start, I sponged the grass and the clouds using distress inks just to the center of the card. I then die-cut the umbrella and the rain boot, colored them using copic markers and adhered all the pieces. Now I added a floral cluster from the Garden Critters stamp set to the rain boot. It fits perfectly. I stamped the images, colored using copic markers and then die-cut using the coordinating dies.

Garden Critter Cards with Cathy and Bobbi

Hey friends! Cathy here today buzzin’ on in with these cute dragonflies from the Garden Critters Stamps! I just love how happy they look!

 

I started this card with the sky background by die-cutting a piece of white cardstock using the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies. I cut the panel to 5 1/2” long and inked clouds with a stencil using Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I heat embossed the sentiment approximately  2 1/4" from the top edge and then matted the panel on black cardstock.

Next, I cut 2 strips of patterned paper from the Spring Fever Paper 1” x 5 1/2" and adhered them to each side of an A2 card base. I then adhered the cloud panel to the center of the card.

My dragonflies needed a few flowers to buzz around, so I stamped Iris from the Spring Bouquet Stamps and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I adhered them to the card front and trimmed the excess leaves and stems along the edges.

To finish, I stamped the dragonflies on Neenah Classic Crest 80lb solar white cardstock, colored them with Copics and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I added sparkle to their wings with a shimmer brush and adhered them using foam tape to pop them up from the background.

Hello Sunny friends. It’s Bobbi here with a new set for spring called Garden Critters by Sunny Studio Stamps. This set is filled with cute little creatures buzzing, flying, crawling, and/or growing in the garden! I used this stamp set and coordinating dies along with the new Spring Fever pattern paper in this spring release and the Wonky Windows dies.

After cutting the Wonky Windows openings from the front panel, I added a pretty blue, cloudy sky patterned paper behind the windows and a strip of greenery to the bottom base of the panel. Now comes the fun part …. I added flowers, critters, greens and a bright sun to the scene. The tulips were colored in reds, oranges and yellows and the planter boxes in blue.

Reds: R29, R24, R14, R22
Yellows and oranges: YR09, YR68, Y38, Y15, Y08, Y06
Blue: B000, B00, B02, B04

A watering can full of posies and a sweet little lady bug sit in the green grass at the bottom. Bees, a butterfly, and a dragonfly accent each window. I used cushion strips to make the front panel sit off the background layer for some depth and dimension. This set has several sentiments to choose from. I used “Hap-Bee Birthday” on this card, positioning the words by the bees in the scene. This card fits neatly in an A2-sized envelope.

On a side note, I know it can be hard to fully appreciate interactive cards with only a couple still photos so with that in mind, I created a short and sweet video showcasing four of the pop-up cards I made for this release.
