Hey crafty friends! It's Yan here, and today I'm sharing a cozy, whimsical holiday card to get us all into the festive spirit! I had so much fun creating a colorful, wintery backdrop for these sweet little singing mice.
I kicked things off by stamping those adorable mice from the Merry Mice Stamps onto Neenah Solar White cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then brought them to life with my favorite Copic markers before die-cutting them with the matching dies.
COPIC COLORS:
Mice: B000, B12, E41, R30, R43, Y15, YG63, YG03, W1, W4
Cheese Tree: BG0000, BG15, E31, E35, Y00, Y02, Y15
For the background, I took a separate panel of white cardstock and blended Distress Oxide Inks in Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick, Shaded Lilac, and Dusty Concord right through the Forest Trees Stencil. I love how blending these purple and pink tones creates a dreamy, twilight forest scene!
To add a touch of winter magic, I die-cut a few delicate snowflakes from white cardstock using the Basic Mini Shape Dies 5 and scattered them across the sky. For the sentiment, I heat embossed 'Happy Holidays' in gold onto a strip of vellum using the Holiday Greetings Stamps and cut it out with the coordinating Holiday Greetings Dies.
To finish up, I arranged all my elements and popped up the sweet mice with foam tape for some extra dimension!
And there you have it—a cheerful holiday scene that was so joyful to make. I hope it brings a big smile to your face! Happy crafting, everyone!
