Summer Greenery Cards with Marieke and Marine

Hello Sunny Studio friends, Marieke here. Today I hope to inspire you with a card using die cuts only.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Summer Greenery Summer Themed Card by Marieke Slaats (featuring Sunshine Word Die)

First off I trimmed a white rectangle, splattered some black paint and let it dry. Die cut the Summer Greenery Dies out of a teal, blue and green cardstock. Ink Blended them using inks and splattered some water, paint or ink onto them.

Glued the leaves onto the rectangle and trimmed off what was hanging off the rectangle. Cut a white top fold basecard. Added the pattern panel onto the base card using foam tape.

Die cut the Sunshine Word die four times out of black cardstock and glued them together onto the card. Stamped the sentiment out of the Sending Sunshine stamp on white paper. Trimmed it to a small banner and added it to the card using foam tape. Finished off the card adding some clear sequins.

------------------------------------------

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today, I'm back with a new shaker card, I'm quite obsessed with them at the moment, they're so fun to make!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Summer Greenery Summer Themed Card by Marine Simon (featuring Fabulous Flamingos, Stitched Arch Dies)

This new card features some beautiful leaves from the Summer Greenery die set, but before cutting them, I started off by stamping two cute flamingos, as well as some flowers and tropical leaves from Fabulous Flamingos that I colored using my alcohol markers.

Next I created a simple distress oxide ink background. I divided a 5,5 x 4,25 inches bristol panel in three sections using washi tape: sand at the bottom, ocean right above it, and then sky at the top. For the sand section, I used antique linen + vintage photo + copic opaque white ink, for the ocean I used salvaged patina + peacock feathers, and for the sky I used worn lipstick + festive berries + copic opaque white ink.

I set my oxide ink panel aside to dry, and created the panel that goes on the front. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches navy blue panel, as well as a bunch of leaves out of the same paper using the Summer Greenery die set. I attached the leaves on the panel using liquid glue, added copic opaque white ink splatters all over the leaves and then cut a window out of the panel using a Stitched Arch die.

I attached my window panel on a piece of acetate, added foam strips at the back all along the arch and on the sides as well, poured a bunch of clear jewels inside the window and then stuck the oxide ink panel to the foam strips to complete my shaker panel.

Next I cut more Summer Greenery leaves, as well as two Spring Greenery leaves out of different colored cardstock. I also created a flower using dies from the Botanical Backdrop die set, I arranged all those pieces at the top of the arch window to create a cluster, and attached them all using foam squares and glue dots, as well as the flamingos, flowers and leaves at the bottom of the arch.

For my sentiment, I white heat embossed the banner from Little Birdie on vellum, as well as the "Happy summer" phrase from Fabulous Flamingos inside of it, and attached it below the flower & leaf cluster using clear foam squares.

And that's it! I hope you like this new colorful summer shaker card! Of course you can check the process video if you need more details and information (click the image above). Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Watering Can Cards with Alma and Gladys

Hello, this is Alma and today I want to show you a card with a vintage effect.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Watering Can Card by Alma Störk (featuring Background Basics)

To do this I created my card with kraft cardstock in matching colours. I stamped the rectangular card with white ink using the dots from the Background Basics Stamps Set. The watering can is from the set of Watering Can Stamps that I cut out with the Watering Can Dies.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Watering Can Card by Alma Störk (featuring Background Basics)

The card is supposed to be a greeting from my garden, which is why I glued real lavender into the watering can. It dries and still looks beautiful afterwards.

Finally I stamped the butterfly and the "thinking of you" sentiment from the watering can set and glued everything together.

--------------------------------------------

Hi friends, Gladys here! I'm happy to be back on the blog to share another inspiration using the Watering Can stamp set. For this card I only used the butterflies from the set and combined it with the Lovely Lilacs to create a shaker card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Watering Can Card by Gladys Marcelino (featuring Lovely Lilacs, Stitched Arch Dies)

To start I used Pinkfresh Studio inks for the butterflies and lilacs. Here are the colors I used:
Yellow: lemon whip, marigold and Lawn Fawn jet black
Pink: ballet slipper, sparkling rose, bubble gum, raspberry bliss
Green: fresh pear, grassy knoll, olive

Next I cut two pieces of cardstock one from Bristol smooth cardstock and one from white cardstock. For the Bristol smooth cardstock I ink blended salvaged patina, peacock feathers, and mermaid lagoon. I used the Stitched Arch dies to die cut the center of the white cardstock. Then I adhered acetate on the back and double sided foam tape to create wells for the shaker elements.

For the sentiment I white heat embossed on black cardstock and trimmed it down using a fishtail banner. Finally I adhered the entire panel onto a light gray pattern paper to give a subtle border.

Thank you so much for joining me today. Happy crafting!!

Swimming Pool Die Focused Cards with Isha and Kavya

Hello everyone, Isha here with a fun summer theme card for you featuring the Swimming Pool dies. These dies have so many scoring details that it's fun to colour them too.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Swimming Pool Die Focused Summer Card by Isha Gupta (featuring Kiddie Pool, Looking Sharp)

I started by sponging some inks to create the grass and sky background. I then die-cut the pool using the Swimming Pool Dies, coloured the water using watercolours and the pool side using copic markers. I then die-cut the poolside three more times and stacked them together. Adhere to the card.

------------------------------------------------

Hi folks, Kavya here. I am back on the blog with another fun card for you all. Today’s card was inspired by Marine Simon - an amazing card maker that I always look up to. She used the newly released Swimming Pool Die to create a pond complete with adorable frogs! I decided to use it just like she did and create a fun jungle scene with a hippo walking in a lake.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Swimming Pool Die Focused Summer Card by Kavya (featuring Savanna Safari, Tropical Scenes)

I started off by creating a background by ink blending Saltwater Taffy and Dried Marigold for the sky and a strip of green cardstock for the grass. I created my lake by using green and blue cardstock ink blended with coordinating dye inks.

Then, I stamped and colored a bunch of images from Savannah Safari and Tropical Scenes stamp sets. Finally, I added a heat embossed sentiment and I was done!

I hope this card inspires you to find new ways to use products already in your stash :) Happy Crafting!

Ocean View Cards with Bobbi and Catherine

Greetings! It’s Bobbi here sharing a few fishes …. I mean wishes! I am using the new Ocean View stamps and coordinating dies to create this 5″ X 7″ ocean scene card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Ocean View Beach Themed Card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Inside Greetings: Congrats)

To make the card, I started by applying Distress Oxide Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers and Antique Linen, blending the colors together in between. I splattered water over the ink and blotted it with a paper towel to lift ink for a splotchy look.

I stamped all the elements from the stamp set and cut them. I colored them using the following colors:
Greens: YG67, YG03, YG00, G89
Browns: E47, E44, E55, E50, E43, E42
Blue-Greens: BG72, BG13, BG11, BG10
Blues: B00, B000
Orange-Yellows: YR68, YR65, YR00
Reds: R89, R29, R17, R05
Yellows: Y21
Grays: W1, W2, W3, W5, W9, C3, C1

I added a sweet rose pattern print to the umbrellas. Once all the images were colored, I placed them on the ink-blended background to create the foreground scene. I attached the two clouds, the crab, and beach chair/umbrella using Scrapbook Adhesives foam tabs to make them stand out.

I added specks of black and white on the sand using a white gel pen and a black fine-tip marker. Lastly, I stamped the phrase in the lower corner from the stamp set,
Inside Greetings Congrats. I changed the “W” to an “F” for fun and to fit the theme.

Hello Friends! Catherine here, sharing a sunset card featuring the Ocean View Stamps and Ocean View Dies. I had a lot of fun creating this card. I find making sunset cards challenging but the end result is worth it!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Ocean View Beach Themed Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Kiddie Pool)

For the sunset, I didn’t want to have a harsh line between the sun reflection and the ocean so I covered the top ocean wave of the Beach Border with Trees and Chair stamp with tape. After I inked the stamp, I removed the tape and stamped the image onto White Cardstock 4.25” x 5.5.” I then die cut the coordinating die from
Ocean View Dies with masking paper. For the sun, I die cut the third smallest circle from Stitched Circle Small Dies with masking paper. I covered the stamped image with the masking paper and then laid the sun on top slightly overlapping the stamped image.

Starting from the top edge of the masking paper, I ink blended the sky with Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide around the circle working my way upwards to the top edge of the cardstock. I then added Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide. I gently removed the masks and inked the sun with Dried Marigold Distress Oxide letting the brush touch the water part of the image. I added Squeeze Lemonade Distress Oxide around the sun.

For the ocean, I used the following Copic Marker colors:
B04, B02, B01, B00, B000. I drew small squiggly circles at the edges of the waves with a white gelly roll pen. I coloured the sand with E34, E31, and E30 and added specks with a white gelly roll.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Ocean View Beach Themed Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Kiddie Pool)

Along with the cute crab from the set, I added friends and a beach chair from
Kiddie Pool Stamps, sand shovel from Beach Babies Stamps, and some white die cut birds from Tropical Trees Backdrop Die

For the sentiments, I white heat embossed sentiments from
Wedded Bliss and Beach Babies onto white cardstock ink blended with Dried Marigold Distress Oxide. To finish off the card, I used a die cut banner from Stitched Rectangle Dies to add a white frame around the sentiment.
