Today I am sharing our new Fabulous Flamingo Stamps, as well as two mini 2x3 Stamp sets called Sending Sunshine and Coastal Cuties. These sets all play so nicely together and just ooze summer vibes.
Card No.1: Up first is a card set using both the Fabulous Flamingos together with the small palm tree from Sending Sunshine (the other palm tree is a peek for a set being shared fully tomorrow). I cut a piece of kraft cardstock for my sandy beach using our Woodland Border dies and then framed the scene using our Fancy Frames Square Dies.
Card No.2: Our new Summer Splash 6x6 Paper packs have so many fun prints that I couldn't resist trying several of them for my card set. This flamingo print from the pack is so much fun, right? It's busy enough on it's own which allowed me to keep the rest of my design pretty simple.
Card No.3: My next card utilizes another background that I shared earlier HERE using Therm O Web's Glitz Glitter Gel by Gina K. and our new Frilly Frames Stripes Dies as a stencil. I then cut down my panel and layered it onto the ric-rac mat from the Frilly Frames Chevron dies. This set was designed to say "Tickled Pink" to hear your news, but I didn't feel like the words would curve around my little couple quite right so I was delighted to discover that this set could also be used to say "So happy to hear your news".
Card No.4: Up next is a second card using a Therm O Web background (details HERE) using our Frilly Frames Polka-dot Dies as a stencil together with their new Deco Foil Metallix Gel. For my little scene I used the island image from our Island Getaway Stamps and the palm tree from Sending Sunshine together with some new Fluffy Cloud Dies that I will be sharing more of tomorrow. I love how much interest the tone-on-tone textured polka-dot background gives my simple card, completely taking it to the next level!
Card No.5: When I was at Creativation this year I had the pleasure of trying Gina K's Wreath Builder Templates in person and I was instantly hooked! They provide infinite possibilities and I love how easy it is to take any stamps in my stash to create fun wreaths! For this card I used several of the palm leaves from the Fabulous Flamingos set to create my jungle frame using some simple masks cut from post-it notes. I then die-cut my paper down using a circle die which I framed using the largest circle from our Fancy Frames Circle Dies.
Card No.6: For my next card, I used that same Wreath Builder Template with a slightly different arrangement (they are so much fun I tell ya, it's like playing with a kaleidoscope). This time I kept my card square and cut a circular window out of the center. I popped up my entire card front and flamingos up with foam tape to add some dimension between the wreath and the sentiment down below. This time I used the largest Fancy Frames Square dies for the scalloped border around my card.
Card No.7: Next, we're switching gears a bit and sharing some cards using our new little 2x3 Coastal Cuties stamps. This set comes with two beach ready girls and a versatile everyday sentiment using one of my favorite fonts!
For my card here I paired my girls with several of the prints from our new Summer Splash 6x6 Paper pack, adding my sentiment to the stitched pennant from our Fancy Frames Rectangle dies. I couldn't resist the urge to pull out my Beach Babies stamps from last year which coordinate so well with this new set. The beach ball is a perfect compliment to the paper and the beach umbrella that I had colored up already from last year was just begging to be thrown on this card too. ;) To frame my girls I used our Fancy Frames Circle Dies, layered with a standard 3" circle die-cut.
Card No.8: For my next card, I focused on the Coastal Cutie in the floatie, pairing her with the two other kids in floaties from our Beach Babies stamps. To create my waves, I used our new Catch A Wave dies which I cut from masking material and used the negative side to ink up my top two waves. For the bottom wave, I cut the wave from some blue vellum in my stash (circa 2004 I think). I'm not sure colored vellum is easy to come by right now, but I think a similar look could be achieved by inking up the surface of regular vellum with some darker blue ink. I used some Scotch Spray Mount over a big piece of newspaper outside to add an invisible layer of adhesive to my wave (it's the best at not showing). I love how the way is transparent like real water would be!
As a final finishing touch, I stamped some splashes from the set which I colored with Copic Markers and added glossy accents to. I once again used my favorite pennant from our Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies, this time only running it partway through my die-cutting machine before flipping it over and running it partially through the other way so that both sides could have the V's. The little grooves of the stitching make it super easy to line up and it's a great technique for elongating dies for longer sentiments!
Card No. 9: I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to create cards with this set, so our design team member, Mona generously agreed to let me share a couple of her cards. I am so smitten with her idea to color the girl in gray tones and how she pops against her gorgeous rainbow watercolor background! She added a little pattern to her background using the gingham print from our Rainbow Bright 6x6 Paper pack and a sentiment using our Over The Rainbow Stamps and Rainbow Word Die.
Card No.10: For the last card of the day, Mona created a sea of cuties, making waves from our Ric Rac Border Dies and our Classic Gingham 6x6 Paper. Love how she create a beautiful human rainbow with the way she colored her girls!
For another project with our Coastal Cuties stamps make sure to check out this fun little video tutorial Mona put together on her Instagram channel Craft By Mona.
I'm so happy you've joined me for today's sneak peek and I'd love to give a $25 gift code to one lucky winner. I am loving this water inspired release :) Great projects too!
ReplyDeleteOh the flamingos! and that little parrot...so cute. I need a money tree. :)
ReplyDeleteMore wonderful cards! I do craft in the summertime.
ReplyDeleteSuch darling flamingos!!! Love these! I do tend to slow down during summer, but I love to take time to stamp and color with new products I haven't touched. And I'll take a tote bag wherever we go on vacation and I'll stamp and color in the car, on a plane or train or een by the pool to prepare for fall or holiday projects.
ReplyDeleteGreat new products!
ReplyDeleteDuring the summer I tend to craft more, because my kids’ schedules slow down. Plus, I have more photos to scrapbook with, so I tend to “catch up” on my albums.
Super cute, love the flamingos on the flamingo paper!
ReplyDeleteThese cards make me ready for summer and fun! They are so bright and cheerful! Love the fun sentiments with the flamingo's! I tend to do more crafting in the summer when life slows down and my kids are home to join in the fun.
ReplyDeleteFlamingos are my favorite!
ReplyDeleteSunshine, flamingos and parrots...nice and cute!
ReplyDeleteYes and no. I do get my craft on during the summer months, but sometimes if I leave for vacation or travel, I take a break.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun stamps!!!! I like Diana post...I wish I had a money tree tooooo!!! Adorable cards!!!!
ReplyDeleteI stamp/make cards almost daily! lol And then towards October/November, I have enough cards to send to a charity that then donates them to the elderly. I love all yours & Mona's fun cards. I had to pin several of the flamingo cards; so cute!!
ReplyDeleteSimply darling! Makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteI an definitely more crafty in the summer because I'm off...work in a school.love those flamingos.
ReplyDeleteI still craft in the summer finding a cool place to craft when it is too hot outside.
ReplyDeleteSo much cuteness. I especially love your sweet flamingos.
ReplyDeleteI craft all year round :)
ReplyDeleteI craft throughout the year, maybe more in Winter though:)
ReplyDeleteSuch fun cards to show off the new stamps!
ReplyDeleteI do about the same amount of stamping during the summer!
I think a craft about the same throughout the seasons. Well, maybe a little more in summer because I don't like to be out in the heat. Love thur bright colors of the cards!!!
ReplyDeleteSince my kids are grown and don't live at home anymore, my crafting stays fairly even throughout the year
ReplyDeleteOMG...I am a flamingo fanatic...I NEED this set NOW!!
ReplyDeleteEvery season is crafting season for me! Love your bright new products!
ReplyDeleteI craft year round, but it does taper off a bit in the summer. I mainly craft in the summer when the temps are too high outside to do much. :D
ReplyDeleteOMG soooo cute. I love Summer and I need these things :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely don't craft as much during the summer months with my kids out of school.
ReplyDeleteMay/June are big months for baseball for my son so I don't get to craft in my room as much as I like; however, I do like small things I can take on the go to the games. I am just head over heels for this release. I can't wait until Friday!! These are all so fabulous. I am not exaggerating when I say I want to remake every single one of these cards!!
ReplyDeleteI do a different kind of crafting in the summer. My granddaughter is out of school and we work on projects for her.
ReplyDeleteThese are such fun stamp sets. What a great release this is! I usually visit my brother and his family for an extended time, so I craft, but in the way of the under-5 set.
ReplyDeleteYour flamingos are absolutely irresistible !! Card n°9 is my favourite with this rainbow background. About your question, I’d say I’m more crafty within summer because I stay away from the sun and the heat. Thanks for the opportunity to win. Love, Marjorie

The projects today are wonderful! I think I may craft a little more in the summer because it is so hot and humid where I live, it's miserable to be outside.
ReplyDeleteThese flamingoes are so very cool. My sister-in-law is nuts for flamingoes. Love that paper pack too. I try to do some crafting every month. Summer is busy for me but I do have some birthdays in June/July. I am more a Fall/Winter crafter as I love those seasons. Comes with having an October birthday.
ReplyDeleteThose are THE CUTEST flamingos ever. Ever!!
ReplyDeleteI craft all season long!
ReplyDeleteLove these cards, all so
fun and festive.

Jo

I create all year long. It is what gives me the get up-and-go that I need each day.
ReplyDeleteSuch great inspiration - fabulous creations! I don't spend any less time crafting in the summer, but I do need to spend more time crafting in general. Paper crafting has been put aside for other projects and I miss having the time to do it and have fun doing it.
ReplyDeleteI craft more during winter due to the classroom holidays=giveaways!
ReplyDeleteAdorable projects! Love those cute little coastal cuties!! I'm definitely not as crafty in the summer. My craftroom is in the finished basement of my house but I don't want to be stuck down there when the weather is gorgeous outside. Unless it's really hot and humid. In that case, I'll be enjoying the a/c and crafting away!
ReplyDeleteSo, I live in FL. It's "summer" all the time. In the winter, it's the kind of summer most other people think of as summer. In the summer, it's "surface of the sun summer" which is when actual Floridians think all the rest of you are crazy and we don't leave our homes unless it's before 6 am, or it's after dark. Sometimes not even then. In answer to your question, yes, we craft from June - September. So we don't boil in our own skin. LOL
ReplyDeleteSummer where I live is a bit too hot, for the most part, so I probably craft more in the cool comfort of my AC.
ReplyDeleteI craft whenever I can, but I definitely color more during the colder months.
ReplyDeleteI prefer to craft during the colder months. It keeps me from lounging all day.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I craft whenever.
ReplyDeleteI craft all year long but I think I'm most inspired during the cold months.
ReplyDeleteI love crafting in the summer!! I enjoy all the natural sunlight that I have in The summer mornings! I will be in school for most of this coming summer so I don't know how much summer crafting I will do!
