Majestic Meadow Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today. I am so excited to share a birthday card featuring the new Majestic Meadows Stamps from the Spring Release. This is an amazing background stamp that is just perfect for scene building. It created a quick backdrop for my little birthday party today. I love that it is large enough for you to create a large square, a portrait A2 or a landscape A2 sized card. And there's also an awesome coordinating die that can diecut part of the landscape and all of extra images.

I stamped the background image from the new Majestic Meadows Stamps onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Rich Cocoa ink. Then I stamped one of the birds from the Majestic Meadows Stamps, the foxes, flowers, wagon and party elements from the new Foxy Friends Stamps and a couple of birds from the Little Birdie Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Majestic Meadows Dies, Foxy Friends Dies and Little Birdie Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

I used the larger die from the Stitched Rectangle Dies set to die cut out the panel. I adhered the  panel onto the front of a top folding white card base (4.25" x 5.5"). Next, I diecut a scalloped frame using the larger die from the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies set and white cardstock. I adhered the scalloped frame to the panel and card base using foam tape. 

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the new Party Pets Stamps onto a piece of white cardstock with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I diecut out the sentiment with the coordinating Party Pets Dies. 

I adhered the flower pots and wagon directly onto the panel. Then I adhered the sentiment and the remainder of the colored images onto the card front with some foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Birthday Cards with Rachel Alvarado

Hello crafty friends! It's Rachel here and I have a few projects to share with you that showcase some really cute products from the new release.

For my first project, I created a 4.25" x 5.5" verical A2 card combining the beautiful Magestic Meadow Background Stamp along with some sweet bunnies from the Balloon Numbers Stamps and fun balloons and party hats from the Party Pets Stamps and Party Pets Die Set.

I used my MISTI to stamp all of my images onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Next, I colored my images and background scenery with Copic markers and used their coordinating die sets to cut them all out. After stamping my "It's Your Birthday!" sentimet from the Party Pups Stamp Set onto the grassy area of my card, I then set my images aside to work on the ink-blended portion of my background.

I trimmed a piece of smooth white card stock to 4" x 5.25" and lightly blended the center section of it with some Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Inks. I then added this layer to my white card base and next adhered my background piece on top of this with some dimensional foam tape. Lastly, I adhered my images with some more 3D foam tape for extra dimension.

I made two mini cards for my next two projects using the Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies for my card base.

I also used the Rounded Rectangle Window Dies to create a stitched window for my shaker card. I die cut five pink frames and glued four of them together with some liquid adhesive and placed them on my rounded rectangle card base that I had blended with some Kitsch Flamingo and Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Inks. I next sprinkled some sequin embellishments on top of my ink blended base and then adhered a clear rounded rectangle acetate window on top of my stack of frames to seal off the embellishments. Lastly, I added my top pink frame as well as some sweet images from the Cat Antics and Party Pets stamp sets.

My last card also features images from the Party Pets Stamp Set as well as a party banner from the previously released Panda Party Stamp Set. I heat embossed my sentiment onto a piece of black card stock with Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and cut it out with the coordinating Party Pets Die Set. I lightly blended my white background with some Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink and then added my colored images with some more 3D foam adhesive tape for added interest.

Rounded Rectangle Mat Die Focused Card with Nicky

Happy Friday friends! This is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog and I'm sharing my first card for the lovely Spring release which is already available for purchase. Read on for all the details and links to products.

I stamped the Majestic Meadow image on a white A2 panel of cardstock that I had die cut using the Rounded Rectangle Mat Die. I reserved the 'frame' from the original die cut so that it wasn't stamped on and remained white. I applied the background image to a turquoise panel of cardstock, I backed the framing piece with foam tape and adhered that down and then set this to one side.

I stamped the bunnies from Tulip Path Background and the birds from Majestic Meadow and coloured the images using the following Copic marker combinations:

Birds - BG45, B00, B000, W3, W1, Y38
Bunnies - E31, E41, E40
Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00

I used a white gel pen to highlight some points and then I die cut using the coordinating Majestic Meadow Die and Tulip Path Die.

Next I stamped the Balloon Alphabet letters and die cut with the Balloon Alphabet Die to form the word 'hello'. I used The Stamp Market inks in Peach and Breeze to do this and then I came in with Copics C3 and C1 to shade the balloons to make them a little more 3D. The balloons were die cut using the coordinating dies.

I backed each die cut image with dimensional foam tape and applied them to the uncoloured background and I glued the little balloon strings in place and then stamped the word 'cutie' borrowed from the Big Panda stamp set and used more foam tape to adhere that.

Background Basics 2 Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm thrilled to be back on the blog with this trio of Valentine cards showcasing a mix and match of items from different releases: the Background Basics 2 stamp set from the brand new Spring 2025 release, and three previously released big critters that I like to use all year long for any kind of theme.

I started off by cutting three Strathmore bristol smooth panels using the largest Scalloped Square 1 Small die, I masked the edges off on each panel using washi tape, and created three identical backgrounds in three different color palettes. For the pink panel, I covered the panel with spun sugar oxide ink first, and then stamped the Background Basics 2 chicken wire pattern using kitsch flamingo oxide ink. For the purple panel, I covered the panel with shaded lilac oxide ink first, and stamped the pattern using wilted violet oxide ink. 

And for the aqua panel, I covered the panel with salvaged patina oxide ink first, and stamped the pattern using peacock feathers oxide ink. Next I mixed white ink with water, and splattered that mix on the three panels, and then sprayed matching distress spritz on each panel to add shine and sparkles. Removed all the washi tape and set my panels aside to dry.

I stamped all the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, cut them all using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers in shades of gray for the characters, and in one of my all time favorite color palettes for the other images: aqua, pink and purple. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Big Bunny - bunny, tulips, envelopes, bows • Big Panda - panda • Holiday Hugs - bear, heart pillow, gift • Special Day - hearts • Balloon Rides - banners.

I cut three 4,75 x 4,75 inches panels out of Polka Dot Parade papers, attached them to a card base, and then stuck each scalloped panel to its matching card base using 1mm foam tape. I attached the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, added highlights and details using a white gel pen, applied a bit of white blizzard nuvo drops on each heart for more sparkles, and then cut three Brilliant Banners 1 for my white heat embossed "Happy Valentine's Day" greetings from Bighearted Bears.
