Hi friends! It's Kelly Lunceford here today and I am thrilled to be guest designing using the latest Sunny
Studio Stamps release! I'm sharing three holiday projects with you that I'm
super excited about! First up is this fun North Pole scene using Santa and Mrs.
Claus! The Winter Scenes stamp set is perfect to create charming scenes all
winter long! I stamped it in black and then colored it with an assortment of
alcohol markers in blues, reds, and greens to create a festive look!
I created the background
by blending Distress Oxide inks in two shades of blue: Tumbled Glass and Faded
Jeans. The addition of white paint splatter creates the illusion of snowflakes
falling in the background. I die cut the Winter Scenes using the coordinating dies and added it to the background panel using foam squares for optimum
dimension. I always love adding some coarse crystal glitter to many of my
holiday designs which I did here on the trees, roof tops, and snow drifts!
Santa and Mrs. Claus are
from the super sweet North Pole stamp set and they look so cute all decked out
in their holiday finest! I added them to the bottom of the panel using
additional foam squares to really make them pop! Mrs. Claus has two dots of
Crystal Glaze over the top of her glasses for a realistic touch. I chose the
sentiment that works perfectly with Santa's nice list and added it to the top
of the snowy sky panel. A few sparkling clear sequins here and there finish off
this little scene!
I had so much fun
working on the first card, I decided that if I cut the Winter Scenes image in
half, it would make two perfect tags! I colored it exactly the same way as the
first card for ease, and then cut it straight in half and added them to two
tags cut from Classic Gingham pattern paper.
I chose to use Santa on
the first tag, all set with his list in hand and stamped the sentiment directly
at the top using black ink. I love making all kinds of handmade tags for the
season to dress up all of my packages and treats! If you're not a tag maker,
you could use this same design and add it to a card base for a fun look.
Mrs. Claus is accented
with a plate of Christmas cookies, which I'm sure taste delicious! ha ha! I
love this sentiment that says "Spreading Christmas Cheer"...it will
be perfect to package up all of the sweets and treats I love to make during the
holidays!
My final project for
today uses the playful elves from the North Pole stamp set. They were just
screaming for something fun and whimsical, so I chose to use them in a way
similar to something you might find on holiday wrapping paper! I stamped each
one twice so I would have lots of options and colored them with alcohol
markers.
I love the play on words
with this sentiment, which is just perfect for this design. I used my mini
MISTI for ease in alignment and precision. I cut it out and added it to the
pink Classic Gingham background using foam squares. From there I was able to
add the elves in all different directions for a playful look!
I was thrilled to find
that I could use the excess heads or feet that were trimmed off by adding them
to a different portion of the card. I added in a few die cut gifts and the
North Pole sign as filler! Each of the jingle bells on their hats got a dot of
Crystal Glaze for some dimension and shine! Once I had them all arranged like I
wanted, I added some White Nuvo drops here and there for a pop of added detail!
I had a lot of fun
working on these three projects and I'm happy to add them to my growing stash
of holiday projects! Working on Christmas is a year-long affair for me, so I'm
always in the mood for Christmas! It will be here before we know it! Have a
wondeful day and thanks for joining me today!
To start, I first stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock,
colored them with Copic markers, and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then set them aside to work on my
card background.
I trimmed a
piece of smooth white card stock to 4.25" x 5.5" and masked the edges
with some tape. Next, I blended this piece with some Squeezed Lemonade,
Fossilized Amber, Carved Pumpkin, and Ripe Persimmon Distress Oxide Inks. I
then splattered this blend with both water as well as diluted white, orange,
brown, and gold paint.
I set this piece aside to dry and then die cut another
piece of white card stock using both the outer die of the Frilly Frames Retro Petals Die Set as
well as the largest die from the Stitched Arch Dies Set.
I adhered this piece on top of my ink-blended base and then stamped my
sentiment with black ink. Lastly, I added my images with both 3D Foam Adhesive
Tape as well as some with liquid adhesive.
Thank you all so
much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Hello my crafty friends! Candice with you today super excited to
start sharing the new release with you! I am beginning with the wonderful Bountiful Autumn set which
is full of images to mix and match and I used it to create a table of
Thanksgiving!
I began my slimline card with an 8 1/2 x 3 1/2 card base which
works great with the new slimline dies from
this release! For my background, I first die cut the stitched slimline panel and
inked it with peeled paint, crushed olive & shabby shutters. I then die cut
the scalloped borderand
cut it again with the same stitched slimline die I
used for the panel to line them up and inked with rusty hinge.
Next, I stamped all my images from the Bountiful Autumn stamp set onto
watercolor paper, colored with Zig clean color markers, and used the coordinating dies to
cut them out. I set them aside and created my sentiment by die cutting
the "thank you" multiple
times and inked the top layer with rusty hinge & brushed corduroy. I glued
it to the card and added the banner to the
center. I then arranged the images on the top of the scalloped border adhering
with either glue or foam tape for dimension. To finish I added some of the
iridescent pearls for a bit of shine!
Thank you so much for visiting!

Hello to
you! Vanessa here with my first card using the fabulous new release!
I am delighted about the slimline dies, because I love this size for
cardmaking. For today's card I used the Slimline Scalloped Frame:
I first
created my card base, die-cutting the scalloped frame twice from white cardstock
and assembling both pieces at the top edge. Then I die-cut the stitched panel
from white cardstock, inked it with pink and blue Distress Inks and adhered the
panel to the card.
I stamped the cute penguins and the balloons from Penguin Pals onto white cardstock, colored everything with Copics,
die-cut the elements with the matching dies and adhered the pieces to the card with foam tape. Now
I drew the strings with a black marker and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a
strip of black cardstock before adhering it to the card.
These cute little fellas
make me happy! I hope you, too! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a
wonderful day!
First, I die cut
the pretty scalloped frame from Kraft cardstock and adhered it to a white
top-folding card base that measures 8 11/16" x 3 5/8". To create a
little scene, I did some ink blending with Distress Oxides on Bristol
cardstock. For the sunset sky, I used Scattered Straw, Wild Honey, Carved
Pumpkin and Ripe Persimmon. The curved grassy border was ink blended with
Bundled Sage and Mowed Lawn.
Finally, I
stamped the birthday sentiment in VersaMark Ink onto
a black cardstock banner and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I had
so much fun creating this cute harvest scene!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Wishing you an awesome day!
For
my card today I decided to create a little cowboy farm scene 😊 I started with stamping the cowboy
and cowgirl (from Little Buckaroo stamps)
and a barn, bales of hay and little chicks (from Barnyard Buddies set),
colored them with Copic markers and cut them out.
I
created clouds by die cutting 3 shades of blue/teal cardstock with cloud die
from new Slimline Nature borders die set, and
layered them together. I used the same Slimline Nature borders dies to create
grassy hills, cutting them out of green cardstock and adding some shading with
dark green ink.
I
created the sunset in the background by ink blending Squeezed Lemonade, Wild
Honey and Fired Brick distressed inks. On a piece of 4 x 5” cardstock, I
adhered the ink blended sky, added the die cut clouds and grassy hills, then
added the images.
I stamped the sentiment
(from Little Buckaroo) with black ink and framed the scene with a scalloped
stitched rectangle which I die cut with the large Fancy Frames Rectangle die.
These little
buckaroos are just too cute for words and I just love how adorable this card
turned out! Thank you so much for joining us today, I will see you next week
with more cuteness from the new fall/winter release!
Hello friends,
it's Christy here with my first post for Sunny Studio! Today I've got a sweet
card featuring Little Buckaroos, Farm Fresh, and Harvest Mice. I
stamped my images with brown ink to give them a storybook sort of feel, and
colored them with Copics in a simple pastel color palette of pink, gray,
yellow, and beige.
For the
background, I added the tiniest hint of shading with just one marker and then
"dirtied" it up a bit by adding some splatter effect with a dark
brown ink. Proving that ranch girls can be delicate and dainty, or get down and
dirty with the best of them!
I cut the center
section of the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace out of pale pink cardstock and adhered
it to the same color card base. I added my background panel across the center
and blocked that in with two thin strips of gray cardstock. Then I framed the
whole card with the largest Fancy Frames Rectangle popped up with foam tape,
and staged the scene with my colored images.
If you'd like to
see how this card came together, please check out my video tutorial below.
