Pretty Pumpkins & Autumn Greetings Pumpkin Card with Amy

Hello everyone! Amy here with an Autumn card featuring the new Pretty Pumpkins. This is a fun stamp layering set that gives you beautiful, realistic looking pumpkins. 

To begin, I stamped the pumpkins using Distress Oxides in Fired Brick, Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade and the stems using Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint. I used the Pretty Pumpkins dies to cut them out. I love adding critters to my cards so I borrowed the adorable owl from Happy Owl-O-Ween and did no-line coloring with Copic markers. I cut him out with Happy Owl-O-Ween die.

For the front panel, I inked it with Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber and Peeled Paint. I splattered it with water and blotted dry with paper towel. For the sentiment, I used a sentiment from the Autumn Greetings stamps, and heat embossed it using gold embossing powder.

I added the images with adhesives and foam adhesives to the front panel. Lastly, I mounted the die-cut frame with foam adhesives. I hope you like today's card. I had so much fun working with the wonderful stamps.

Cute As A Button Friendship Button Card with Nancy

Hey there everyone, Nancy here today with a look at the Cute as a Button stamp and coordinating dieset. I love intricate designs that can be created quickly and this set delivers! The multiple sentiments are perfect for so many different types of cards. I love the versatility and dose of cute.

The buttons were stamped using two shades of pigment ink for an opaque and colorful coverage. Layering the pigment ink gives the buttons depth and a pop of color. 

The "sew" title was created using the Sew Word die and layered on a bed of buttons. The stamped needle image leads straight to the point - happy we're friends! A sprinkle of sequins in a few sizes adds movement to the design.

Take a closer look at the Cute as a Button stamp and coordinating die set for your next craft fix. There's something about creating all of those little circular shapes that feeds the crafty soul (and makes for cute cards!).

Missing Ewe Baby Themed Sheep Cards with Eloise

Hi everyone! Eloise here and today I'm using the new Missing Ewe stamp set along with the previously released Baby Bear stamp set to create a baby themed card, in a girl and boy version.

To begin my card I first worked on my backgrounds. I pulled 3 Pinks and 1 Red Distress Ink for my girl themed background and 3 Blues and 1 Green Distress Ink for my boy themed card. I then inked two pieces with the Distress Ink completely in a gradient effect. Once they were both inked I splattered each with water droplets and dried them off with my heat tool.

I then stamped the sheep from Missing Ewe twice and coloured them with Copics and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I also stamped, cut and coloured the bow image from Baby Bear too. One in pink and one in blue.

I used the 'welcome little one' sentiment from Baby Bear and lined them up in my MISTI tool and stamped them down onto my background in black ink and clear heat embossed them so they didn't smudge. I then adhered down my sheep images on each card with foam tape.

To finish off I used the Stitched Scallop dies to cut two white scallop borders and adhered them to the side of each of my panels. I then added fun foam to the backs of both panels and adhered them to coordinating colours of cardstock and added them to card bases.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Card and Video with Laura Sterckx

Hi, everybody! I'm Laura Sterckx and today I'm honored and excited to be guest designing for Sunny Studio Stamps. In this blog post and video, I'm featuring two sets from the Autumn 2017 Release including Happy Owl-o-ween and Pretty Pumpkins.

I created my own patterned paper by stamping one of the pumpkins from the Pretty Pumpkins set. I like to start out by stamping the solid layer first because that makes it a bit easier to line up the other layers of the design. In total, it took me about 30 minutes to stamp the patterned paper. So this is definitely a time-consuming technique, but it's so pretty, don't you think? :) 

When Mendi showed me the Happy Owl-o-ween set, I instantly knew I wanted to create a card with it! I dressed up the owls in a bee and pumpkin costume. Don't they just look adorable?! I had to mask off the feathers of the owl to stamp the bee costume. I simply use some washi tape for that. 

To finish off this card, I heat embossed a greeting with white embossing powder and added some shimmer and shine with sequins, a Wink of Stella glitter pen and Glossy Accents.

Pet Sympathy Paw Prints Puppy Card with Lexa

Hello everyone! Lexa here today with a card featuring the Pet Sympathy stamp and it's coordinating dies. Don't you think that this set is the sweetest? Absolutely perfect for both cat and dog lovers.

I stamped all the images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them using Distress Markers, and after I finished with the coloring, I die cut all of them using the coordinating dies. The best part is pop them out and see the fine white borders around them. I added white dots on the dog's bed with white gel pen. The card size is a standard 4.25"x5.5". I white embossed the sentiment on a strip of red cardstock and stamp lots of cute paws with red ink to create the background. I just looove them!

I felt like it was a little bit empty on the top of my card, so I stamped some stitched clouds from Little Angels stamp and die cut them with the coordinating dies. It looks like a "heaven" somehow, don't you think so? Last touch is to add some clear sparkling sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
