Today's sneak peeks include two new 4x6 stamp sets with their coordinating dies and a 6x6 Spring Paper Pack. So excited to finally share!!!
Card No. 1: My first card of the day showcases one of my favorite patterned papers from our new Spring Fling Paper pack together with three of the chicks from our Chickie Baby Stamps. The set comes with two unique backdrops that make scenic cards effortless. For my card here, I trimmed down the paper to allow room for a scalloped edge from our Eyelet Lace Border dies and then added a strip of pink daisy tone-on-tone paper from the pack to the inside portion of my card to peek out behind the eyelet lace edge. I heat embossed my sentiment using a phrase from the stamp set using white embossing powder and my card was done. This card came together really quick and I just love how happy it feels!
Card No. 2: For my next card, I paired the new Chickie Baby stamps with our popular Chubby Bunny Stamps from last year. Don't they look cute together?! For my background I thought it would be fun to do an everyday take on our Scenic Route Stamps showing that they aren't limited to just the holidays or snowy hills. I finished off my card with a custom punny sentiment using our new Phoebe Alphabet Stamps (which will be fully unveiled on Friday).
Card No. 3: I wanted to go clean and simple for my next card, using a rainbow striped print from our Spring Fling Paper pack for my card background. I then topped it with the outer scalloped mat from our new Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace Dies. My basket, eggs and chicks were colored in bright happy colors to match the patterned paper and then arranged in a row along the bottom. I then added a loose shadow with my Copic C1 and C0 markers to ground my pieces a bit. My "Happy Easter" greeting was stamped with pink ink and I then embellished around it with a couple small heart images from the stamp set and a few pink hearts from our Heart Droplets Mix.
Card No. 4: Up next is a card using the second scene backdrop available in our Spring Fling Paper pack. I cut a stitched mat using our Frilly Frames Retro Petal Dies and then used a piece of craft foam to pop it up and fit it right back into the negative space leftover for my background. I love that I was able to create this look with single sheet of patterned paper and it gives my card a little something extra. Also by having that portion that pops out, it gave me a place to "hang" an Easter banner from our Chubby Bunny Stamps.
Card No. 5: Continuing with the idea of an Easter banner, I turned to our new Banner Basics stamps and Phoebe Alphabet Stamps for my next card. Happily the curve of my banner perfectly mimics the curve of the fence in our new Spring Scenes stamps which I think is the perfect backdrop for a cute little Easter egg hunt scene. To use the grass patterned paper from our Spring Fling Paper pack, I stamped the fence border along the top of my patterned paper and then fussy cut it the grass border out to layer over the top of another piece that had been colored with Copic Markers. If you look closely, you will see that I colored the diecut area around my fence with my Copic markers to help it blend with my Tumbled Glass Distress Ink background. I love how that little trick helps the die-cut lines just disappear into the background.
The dies that coordinate with the little grass tuft stamps in the Chickie Baby set only cut out the top portions of the grass, making it possible to tuck things behind them like Easter eggs. It's so much fun! A little bunny and basket from our Chubby Bunny Stamps completed my scene.
Card No. 6: For this card I trimmed two borders of tulips for the top and bottom of my card front using a pattern from our Spring Fling Paper pack, together with a grassy print which I die-cut along the top using the grass border from our Sunny Sentiments Dies. The Chickie Baby Stamps come with separate little legs so that you can extend the chick's legs when he is placed inside the cracked egg. It's sort of a fun & silly look, but I love having extra options like that. I stamped a couple extra tulips from the set to tie in with my tulip paper and then used the large script Easter greeting stamped with Versafine Onyx Black Ink to complete my scene.
Card No. 7: This is just another take on many of the same supplies used in card no. 5. This time for my grass though I used various shades of green Copic markers to flick on color to resemble blades of grass. When I was done I then came in with a little distress ink to darken up the bottom corners. For this card I used another banner from our new Banner Basics Stamps which I stamped with a sentiment from our Chickie Baby stamps. To create some separation between my grass and Rainbow Bright paper, I cut a heart border from white cardstock using our new Heartstrings Border dies.
Tag No. 1: For my last project of the day I created a bright and happy tag perfect for tying to an Easter basket. I started by cutting our Scalloped Circle Tag dies from a polka-dot print found in the new Spring Fling paper pack. I then layered my tag with some basic nesting circles using some more cute tone-on-tone prints from the paper pack. For my sentiment I turned to a greeting from our Happy Thoughts Stamps which I paired with the fun circular banner from our new Banner Basics set. This banner has been perfectly sized to fit not only our circle tags like this, but also our fancy frames circle dies. A bunny from Chubby Bunny, a chick from Chickie Baby and a kite from our Spring Showers set complete my little vignette.
That wraps up today's sneak peeks. That was a whole lot of information and I really appreciate you hanging out with me today. I'd love to give a $25 gift code to one lucky winner using the rafflecopter below. Make sure to keep checking back all this week for more peeks & prizes for up to five chances to win.
