Party Pets Card with Yan

Hey crafty friends! It's Yan here, and today I'm super excited to share a fresh slice of summer inspiration featuring the absolutely adorable Party Pets Stamp! Let's dive right into the details!

​I started by stamping the sleeping cat from the Party Pets Stamp onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Right after that, I die-cut three watermelons from white cardstock using the Juicy Watermelon Dies. ​To bring them all to life, I reached for my favorite Copic markers and gave them some bright, juicy colors. Once I finished blending everything, I used the matching Party Pets Dies to cut out the sweet kitty beautifully.

​COPIC COLORS USED:
Cat: E30, E31, E35, E39, E41, R30
Watermelons: G19, R30, R35, R43, YG03, YG17, YG63, W7

For the background panel, I wanted to create a fun, colorful foundation. I used the Ribbon & Lace Border Dies to give the bottom of my white cardstock a lovely scalloped edge, and then I softly ink-blended it using Saltwater Taffy and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks to mimic those perfect watermelon tones.

​Next came the bold sentiment. I die-cut the word 'MELON' three times using the Sydney Alphabet Dies and layered them together with glue because I absolutely love the extra dimension it adds.

​When it was finally time to assemble the card, I popped the background, the stacked word, the watermelons, and our sleepy little kitten into place using foam tape. That little bit of lift really makes the whole playful scene pop!

Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Die Focused Card with Tina H

Hello crafters, it’s Tina with a fun birthday card featuring the beautiful Frilly Frames Quatrefoil dies. For this project I used both the inner and the outer die of the set when I cut my piece from white card stock.

I really wanted to showcase the beautiful pattern this die creates by adding a contrasting teal dotted background paper (Polka-Dot Parade). To preserve as much as I could from this panel, I opted for one larger focal point by incorporating my favourite critter Big Bunny! I also love that the dies allow for the bunny’s arms to open wide to hold a birthday present (Party Pets). I kept the Copic coloring neutral so the images would stand out against the pretty background. 

Since our bunny is going to a celebration, he also needed a party hat, cut from the same teal paper as before with dies from the Treat Bag Topper set. The Happy Birthday sentiment from Party Pets comes with its matching die and I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

To make this card extra festive I added two white borders on the bottom of the design (Ribbon & Lace Borders), before mounting the bunny with foam tape. I used thin foam strips to adhere the sentiment to the card. Lastly, I sprinkled a few Iridescent Jewels as a blingy touch.

Balloon Numbers Cards with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card set that I made using the Balloon Numbers.

For today I decided to create a duo of cards using the Balloon Numbers stamp. Cut a white 3 3/4 x 5 inch panel and marked the middle. Lined up the Balloon Numbers stamp onto an acrylic block and stamped the middle color first. Then added the top and bottom colors.

Cut a slightly larger white panel and glued them together. For the basecard I cut a white topfold base card. Added the same colors of cardstock strips (1/4 inch) on to the base. Added the panel using foam tape. 

Stamped the sentiment out of the Big Bold Greetings stamp and cut it using the matching Big Bold Greetings dies. Heat set the sentiment out of Puddle Jumpers on some black cardstock and trimmed it down to a small banner.

Die cut a vellum balloon and added the sentiments on to them. To finish the balloon I added a piece of black twine and some clear sequins.

Scrumptious Cupcakes Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I have another fun rainbow card for you using the Scrumptious Cupcakes Stamps set!

I started off by trimming a piece of the sprinkle patterned paper from the Surprise Party Paper pack to 4,25 x 5,5 inches to cover my A2 size card base. I then trimmed a piece of white card stock to 3,75 x 5 inches, and ink blended it in rainbow colors using pink, orange, yellow, green and turquoise ink. Next, I trimmed a slightly larger black panel to go behind my ink blended panel and adhered them to the card base, using double sided tape.

I then stamped the cupcakes and cherries from the Scrumptious Cupcakes Stamps using pink, yellow and turquoise/blue inks, and I stamped the penguins from the Penguin Pair Stamps on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below.

Copic colors used:
Penguins: N3/4/5/6, W0/1/2, R30/32, YR21/24/27

I then die cut out the cupcakes and cherries using the coordinating Scrumptious Cupcakes Dies and the penguins using the coordinating Penguin Pair Dies. After assembling the cupcake parts and the cherries I added foam dots to the back of the cupcakes and penguins for dimension and adhered them to the card.

I stamped the Make A Wish from the Big Bold Greetings Stamps set with Memento Tuxedo black ink and die cut it out using the coordinate Big Bold Greetings Dies. I adhered the sentiment to the card using both foam dots and liquid glue. To finish the card off I added some rainbow-colored bling from my stash!

Sunflower Fields Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! It's Hanh here with you today and I have a clean and simple Thank You card to share showcasing the Sunflower Fields set. I love how well this previously released set pairs so well with the recently released Sweet As Can Bee set. So, let’s get started.

I stamped the sunflowers from the Sunflower Fields Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey, Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide inks. I used the coordinating Sunflower Fields Dies to die cut them out. 

Next, I stamped the bees from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Sweet As Can Bee Dies to die cut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Bees: Y11/13/15/19, T1/3/5/7, R20, BG000/10

For the background, I used Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink to ink blend to add a bit of color onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock behind the sunflowers.

I stamped the “Just buzzin’ by to say” sentiment from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps set and the “Thanks” from the Sunflower Fields Stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink directly onto the inked panel. I also added some stitched trails with the same black ink. 

The sunflowers and bees were adhered to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, the panel was adhered to a white A2 card base (4.25” x 5.5”).
