Designer's Choice: Panda Party Card with Janneke

Hello crafty friends, Janneke here. Today I’m sharing this cookie card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Panda Party & Baked With Love Birthday Card by Janneke Peters (featuring Loopy Rectangle Frame Dies)

For this card, I started by die-cutting a card base from Classic Gingham patterned paper, which gives it a warm and cozy look. In the center, I die-cut a piece of white cardstock and added a beautiful gold frame using  Loopy Rectangle Frame dies.

Then it was time to “bake some cookies”! I used the Baked with Love stamp set and heat embossed the cookie shapes with white embossing powder on light brown paper. After that, I die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I also stamped and die-cut the piping bag, which I later placed in the panda’s hand for a fun detail.

To make the ‘cookies’ look like real cookies, I softly blended brown ink around the edges of the cookies and adhered them to the card. Next, I stamped the pandas and the sentiment from the Panda Party stamp set and colored them with my Ohuhu markers.

Finally, I arranged everything on the card to create a birthday scene that looks almost good enough to eat!

Card done, ready to send joy! Thanks for joining me, and see you in my next blog!

Designer's Choice: Wonderful Window Die Focused Card with Yan

Hello friends! Yan here—I’m excited to share a soft and heartfelt Mother’s Day card featuring the lovely Wonderful Windows Dies. I love how this die set creates a charming window scene, perfect for adding a warm and meaningful touch to a card for someone special.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonderful Windows & Cat Antics Mother's Day Card by Yan X DIY (featuring Inside Greetings Friends, Sydney Alphabet Dies)

To begin, I stamped the sweet mama cat and kitten image from the Cat Antics Stamps onto Neenah Solar White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I then colored the image with Copic markers, bringing out the warm and loving details. Once finished, I used the Cat Antics Dies to cut it out neatly.

COPIC COLOR:
Mama Cat with Kitten : E18, E31, E35, E41, E43, R32
Fish in Food Bowl : BG10, BG23, R32, YR65, YR000
Ball of Yarn : R30, R32
Mice : W1, W5, R32

Next, I used the Wonderful Windows Dies to die cut the window frame from another piece of white cardstock three times, then stacked the layers together with glue to create a bit of dimension. I also added a soft touch of color using Copic markers (R32 and R30) to give the window frame a gentle, warm look.

For the background, I chose a piece from the Polka-dot Parade 6x6 Paper to add a soft and playful touch. I then stamped a sweet sentiment from the Inside Greetings Friends Stamps directly onto the background to complete the heartfelt message. Next, I used the Sydney Alphabet Dies to die cut the letters “MOM” from another piece of white cardstock three times, then stacked them together with glue to create a bit of dimension. Finally, I assembled all the elements using glue and double-sided tape to bring the whole design together.

I hope this card brings a touch of warmth and inspiration to your day!

Designer's Choice: Balloon Rides Card with Tina H

Hi there crafty friends, Tina here and I have a fun card for you in one of my favourite color combo’s, pink and teal.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Balloon Rides Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Scalloped Square Small Dies, ZIg Zag Circle Dies, Inside Greetings Congrats)

This time I went with a square design and a white card base. My next layer is a striped square (Scalloped Square 1 Small dies, Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones). After glueing this piece to the card base, I went on to create a circle with the largest die of the Zig Zag CirclesTo add interest to this background, which will be my sky, I did some splattering with a teal ink from my stash. I set this piece aside to dry and started working on my focal point.

After browsing through my stamps, I discovered that the big balloon from Balloon Rides fits perfectly inside the circle background. Choosing the passenger from this set was hard since they are all so cute, in the end the adorable bunny was the lucky one! I also stamped three clouds and two pieces of trim for the balloon. As mentioned before, I went with Copics in teal and pink shades.

Meanwhile, the splattered circle was dry to the touch and could be adhered to the striped panel. Next, I assembled the balloon with the trim and bunny. Before deciding on the final placement, I selected and stamped a sentiment from Inside Greetings Congrats in Versafine Onyx Black ink

With all the elements of my design ready, I could mount the images and sentiment to my circle background. Lastly, I added a few Iridescent Jewels to finish this card.

I can’t wait to see your creations with this sweet stamp set! Thank you for joining me and happy crafting!

Designer's Choice: Puddle Jumpers Card with Marieke

Hello all, Marieke here. I'm back again with my weekly post for Sunny Studio Stamps. Today I hope to inspire you with a card that I made using the Puddle Jumpers.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Puddle Jumpers Birthday Card by Marieke Slaats (featuring Sydney Alphabet Dies)

For today's card I decided to create a mini slimline card, it has been ages since I made one of these. So I cut a top fold white base card and added a piece of yellow pattern paper out of the Sleek Striped Paper PackOn a piece of watercolor paper I ink blended the background using Blueprint Sketch and splattered some water. Die cut the background and adhered it directly on to the card.

Die cut the "Splash" sentiment using the new Sydney Alphabet Dies. Stamped the other sentiments out of the Puddle Jumpers and Kiddie Pool stamps on some white cardstock using a yellow ink. Trimmed them down to some small banners and added some white gel pen details to the die cut letters.

Used Copic Colors:
Yellow - Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11
White - C5, C3, C1, C00, 0
Orange - YR09, YR16, YR12
Hair - E37, E35, E33
Skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 / R20
Blue - B29, b28, B26, B24, B23

Stamped the images out of Puddle Jumpers and Foxy Friends (top part of the umbrella) on some Copic friendly paper and colored them up using my Copic markers. Cut the images by hand and added all the elements to the card. Finished the card by adding some raindrops using Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide ink.

Have a wonderful day!

Designer's Choice: Quill Cuties Card with Tina M

Hi there! Tina M here! Today I’m sharing a card featuring my favorite hedgehog from the Quill Cuties Stamps and the Woodgrain Embossing Folder!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Quill Cuties Card by Tina Magnusson (featuring Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Vintage Valentine)

I stamped three of the cute hedgehog with hearts on a string from the Quill Cuties Stamps set, three of the envelopes, three of the notecards and three of the hearts from the Vintage Valentine Stamps set on alcohol ink friendly card stock using Memento Tuxedo black ink and colored them with my Copic Markers, see list below. I then die cut the images using the coordinating Quill Cuties Diesand the Vintage Valentine Dies.

Copic colors used:
Hedgehogs: N3/4/5/6, W0/1/3, R00/30/32
Envelopes: B000/0000, 0
Hearts: R22/35/37

Next, I trimmed a piece of light blue card stock from my stash to 3,75 x 5 inches, placed it inside the Woodgrain embossing folder, applied darker blue ink inside the folder on the opposite side of the panel, closed the embossing folder and ran it through my die cutting machine to create a nice tone on tone blue woodgrain texture.

I then trimmed a piece of black cardstock for a frame to go behind my woodgrain panel and adhered them to my white A2 size card base, using double sided tape.

I tucked the note cards and the hedgehogs into the envelopes securing them with scotch tape on the back. I added foam dots to the back of the envelopes and adhered them to the woodgrain panel.

I used the hugs die from the Scalloped Oval Mat 3 Dies set, die cut three pieces from black card stock and glued them together for dimension using liquid glue.
Lastly, I adhered the hugs and the three hearts to the woodgrain panel using liquid glue!

Thank you for stopping by! Wishing you all a happy and colorful day!
