Roly Poly Penguins Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and today we are creating an icy winter scene with the adorable friends from Roly Poly Penguins and their matching diesThis time, I opted for a mini slimline card, and I used a die from my stash to cut a white panel.

To create the background, I masked off the trees from one of the Country Scenes stamps since I only wanted to use the mountain range. That is easy to do, and you get a complete new appearance from your stamp. Filling up the sky part was done with a square stencil from my stash and Picked Raspberry Distress Oxide

After stamping three adorable penguins, a candy cane and two hats, I colored them and also the mountains with grey, blue, and red Copics. I glued the hats and candy cane in place and looked through my stash for a sentiment that would stretch along the length of the mini slimline card. The Penguin Pals set had the perfect match for what I was looking! I stamped the combined message in Versafine Onyx Black ink directly on the background panel.

Next, I played around with the placement of the three cuties and added some depth to the icy snow they were standing on with different shades of blue copics. Finally, I scattered a bunch of Pure White Jewels in the sky to create a snowy look!

I had a lot of fun creating this sweet card and I hope to see your creations soon! Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting!
