Merry Mocha Card with Nicky

Hello everyone this is Nicky with you today on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog where I'm sharing a new holiday themed Merry Mocha slimline card. Read on for all the details.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Merry Mocha Holiday Card by Nicky Meeks (featuring Slimline Dies)

I die cut white cardstock using the Slimline Scalloped Frame Die to form the frame (base panel). I then used the inner die to create the main focal point panel. From red cardstock I cut a panel in my paper trimmer that was slightly larger than the focal panel. I glued the red panel directly to the scalloped edge panel.

I masked off the focal panel just inside the faux stitched edge and ink blended using Cotton Candy Ink by The Stamp Market. The mask was removed, the panel was backed with white craft foam and glued to the red panel and set to one side.

I stamped the Merry Mocha mug images 6 times in black ink. I stamped the sentiment with Cherry Kisses ink by The Stamp Market. All images were die cut with the coordinating Merry Mocha Die.

I coloured the mugs of hot cocoa with the following Copic colour combinations:
Red - R59, R39, R29, R27, R24, R05
Green - G28, G19, G09, G02, YG41, G000
Pink - R56, R85, R83, R81
Mug handles - C5, C3, C0
Whipped cream - E41, E40

Each image was backed with foam tape and applied to the background panel. To finish the card, points were highlighted with a white gel pen. I dotted in some interest to the background using a Copic marker and a metallic gel pen and a few snowflake embellishments were the perfect finishing touch.

Many thanks for coming by to read about my card today, I hope you enjoy it. I'll be back next Friday with something brand new. Enjoy a lovely weekend.
