Wild Cherry Die Focused Card with Nicky

Well hello there and happy Friday everyone, this is Nicky with you on the blog today with a new card featuring the beautiful Wild Cherry Dies. I was inspired by my favourite cherries, 'Rainier Cherries', for their beautiful colours and flavour when creating this card.

I took a white A2 panel of sturdy cardstock and I ink blended delicately and to a soft fade using Tropic Teal ink by The Stamp Market. I adhered this panel directly to my prepared card base.

I die cut the Tree Branch and Wild Cherry using the same sturdy cardstock and ink blended the different parts. The cherries were done with Lipstick Red, Cherry Kisses, Sunshine and Gumdrop by The Stamp Market and I used Copic markers in E44, E43, E44, E42, E53 to colour the woody branch.

I assembled the cherries and began by adding the branch to the background with foam tape and slowly and methodically I 'built' a bunch of cherries hanging from the tree limb just as they would appear in nature. I used a little piece of foam tape behind each cherry and leaf as I layered them in.

To finish the card I used the Limitless Labels 1 Dies set to create a 'label' and on this I stamped a sentiment created using Punny Fruit Greetings. I used Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa to stamp this because the brown repeats the colour from the tree branch which connects things. I attached this label using dimensional foam tape. Finally, I added a few water droplet style embellishments and this card was done!

Tropical Birds Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm so happy to be back on the blog with this lovely tropical baby card showcasing Tropical Birds. As you may know, I'm a huge fan of tropical cards, it's always fun to color all the greenery, and I like to play with bright and bold colors to create my backgrounds. In case you missed them, here are a few examples of the tropical cards I've made using: • Big Panda Sliding Window Card • Juicy Watermelon Slimline Card • Tiki Bar Summer Scene • Savanna Safari Birthday Card • Panda Party Slimline Card.

I started off by stamping my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and my Graph'it brush markers. Lots of green tones for all the leaves, and light orange tones for the birdies. Here is a -short- detailed list of the products I used: • Tropical Birds - cockatoos, leaves, flowers, ivy • Little Birdie - nest • Special Day - hearts • Chubby Bunny - baby bird

Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel, and started off by coloring it using, from top to bottom, carved pumpkin + dried marigold + scattered straw oxide inks. I added a jungle pattern to my background using tropical leaf stencils from my stash along with, from top to bottom, ripe persimmon + carved pumpkin + fossilized amber oxide inks. To bring more interest to my panel, I splattered water all over it and dried it using a paper towel. I mixed some black soot oxide ink with water, and used a small brush to add more splatters to my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Once my panel was dry, I attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and stamped my "Hello baby" greeting from Baby Elephant using black versafine ink. I also added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen, and finished my card with some white blizzard nuvo drops on the hearts to make them sparkle.

And that's it! I really love how this new tropical card turned out with those beautiful orange shades, and I hope that you like it, too. Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next week!

Square Die Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina with a tropical shaker card using the Scalloped Square 1 Large Dies and the Stitched Square Dies.

By combining these two sets, I created a border from a flower pattern paper (Flirty Flowers). I made sure to keep the border wide enough so I could easily add foam tape later. Next, I folded a white square card base, slightly larger than my frame. After gluing some acetate to the border (using strong doubled sided tape) I added some strips of foam tape.

Since I selected a colorful cloud paper from my stash for the background, I opted for simple silver and transparent sequins. After closing the shaker portion with the cloud panel, I adhered this piece to the card base with liquid glue.

For this tropical card, I stamped the layering flowers and leaves from the Radiant Plumeria set  and a cutie from Tropical Birds. I colored him with my Copics in vibrant matching colors.

My sentiment banner with the ‘Best Wishes’ (Heartfelt Wishes) doubles as a ‘resting branch’ for the sweet parrot. I arranged the flowers and leaves in clusters and placed them in two opposite corners of the card. Finally, I added a few Gold Jewels for that extra bling!
