Hello there and welcome to the Sunny Studio blog! It’s Amanda here with you today and I’m so glad you stopped by! Today, I’m sharing a card that I made for the holidays! (I know! I can’t believe it’s that time already either!). With so many holiday cards to make, we have to start early!
To create this card, I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to slimline size. I took a long piece of low-tack masking tape and trimmed the edge into a little hilly background. I adhered the mask to the bottom portion of my card panel. Then, I used Catherine Pooler’s On the Lake and Bay Breeze inks to blend the sky with a blending brush. I spritzed it with water and then set it aside to dry.
All of my stamped images come from the Holiday Express Stamps. I stamped all the images onto white cardstock with black ink and then colored them with Copic markers. I mix and matched the same markers throughout the scene.
Here are the colors I used:
YR21, YR24, YR27
N3, N6, N8
R00, R22, R35, 37, 39
RV23, RV25, RV29
E00, E11
BG93, BG96, BG99
BG70, BG72, BG75, BG78
G24, G94
Once the cute little images were colored in, I cut them out with the coordinating dies. Grabbing my card front again, I stamped the sentiment in the upper right hand corner. I put 3D foam squares behind all of the stamped images and added them to my card front. Then, I took some white acrylic paint and added dots all over the card to look like snow! I, then, attached my card front to a teal card base that matches the sky.
Thanks so much for stopping by the Sunny Studio blog today! Hope to see you back here for more crafty inspo tomorrow!
