Hello Friends!
It's Juliana here to share a lemony
fresh card using the new Slice of
Summer Stamps! I just love the smell of lemons and the color yellow, so I
was immediately drawn to creating a card using these gorgeous layering stamps.
I began by
stamping the lemons from the Slice of
Summer Stamp Set using Scrapbook.com's Premium Hybrid Layering Inks in
Lantern Light, Rubber Ducky and Daffodil. For the leaves, I used the Fruit
Cocktail Stamps and stamped them using Guacamole and Succulent. I then die
cut them using the Slice of
Summer Dies and Fruit
Cocktail Dies.
For the
background, I die cut a piece of Bristol
paper using the stitched scallop die that is part of the Frilly
Frames Stripes Dies. I inked up the paper with Distress Ink in Tumbled
Glass and Salty Ocean and then added some Distress Oxide Ink in Salty Ocean.
Next, I lightly splattered the paper with water using a paint brush and dabbed
the excess water with a paper towel. For the final step on the background, I
splattered the paper with white paint that I added just a bit of water to make
it splatter easier. I then set this to the side to dry.
Once the
background was dry, I began arranging the lemons and leaves to create a
diagonal design. Double sided foam adhesive was added to some of the images for
an extra bit of dimension. I then stamped the sentiment using stamps from the Slice of
Summer Stamps. To complete the card, I added a few Clear
Drops.
I love how this
card makes me think of lemonade and summer...a perfect combination! Thanks for
stopping by today and checking out what I created using the Slice of
Summer Stamps.

These two-layer
stamps are really easy to line up, and have stunning results. I used my MISTI
to make mass producing quick and easy. Once I finished stamping, I used the coordinating dies to cut everything
out.
To assemble the
card, I cut a strip of pattern paper from the Summer Splash
paper pack, and adhered it to white card stock. After I trimmed
the panel down, I picked out words from the stamp set to put together my
sentiment.
I die cut raspberry card stock using the large rectangle from the Frilly Frames Chevron dies, then attached to an A2 size card base. I added the trimmed card front, then used different sizes of foam squares to add the fruit. My final step was gluing pink stamped hearts around the fruit.
