Sliding Window Smiling Gnomes Card with Lexa

Hi everyone! Lexa here today with an interactive card using Sunny Studio's brand new dies called Sliding Window Dies which is has been everyone's favorite since the release. I paired it with the cutest Home Sweet Gnome Stamps set this time. Even if you're not a gnomes fan, make sure to check this one out because it's too cute to be missed.

First, I want to make a little scene with these gnomes in it. I cut a 3"x4" piece of watercolor paper and started to paint the grass and also the sky. I use Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Inks for the watercolor, and simply scribbled them onto an acrylic block/piece of plastic and added some waters. 

When I'm happy with the scene, I adhered it to the bottom part of the sliding window and they look super cute! I stamped the images with Versafine black ink and watercolor them with Distress Markers. After I finished with the coloring I cut them out with the coordinating dies. Clean cut images always make me happy. I even love the pun "gnome one makes me smile like you do", so sweet yet fun!

On the back, I blended the same Mowed Lawn Distress Inks and stamped a hidden sentiment from the Happy Thoughts Stamp and added little hearts next to it.

Comic Strip Everyday Dies Thank Ewe Card with Vanessa

Hi everyone! Vanessa here today with a card inspired by our trip to Scotland. I am so delighted about the new Comic Strip Everyday Dies! It's a treat to create scenes with all the elements included in this set.

First, I die-cut the frame from white cardstock and adhered it to the card base. Then I die-cut the grass edges from the rectangles, inked the sky parts and grass parts with an ink blending tool and adhered them. I die-cut all the elements, colored them with Copics and added them to the windows.

Now I stamped the sheep from Missing Ewe onto white cardstock, colored them with Copics and fussy-cut them before adhering them. Finally, I stamped the top part of my sentiment.

Oh, this reminds me of the cutest cottage we stayed in! The couple who run it were so friendly, we had the perfect stay. I know who will receive this card :)

Product Updates & Email Issue

We just wanted to give an update regarding several items on back order. Due to an overwhelming response, our Sliding Window dies sold out by 9am on release day which means many of you purchased them as a pre-order. As indicated on the product page, orders are being held and will be shipped together when they come in on approximately July 30th. We are eagerly awaiting their arrival and will make it our top priority to get your orders out to you as quickly as possible once they come in. 💛

Another issue that was brought to my attention is that the "contact" form on our website has not been working properly so we weren't aware that all your emails using it were not being forwarded to us for the past three months!  Yikes!  It really broke my heart to learn that... If you have sent us an email using the form rather than sending us an email to our address directly I'm sad to say we did not receive it.  It was definitely not our intention to ignore you, but I'm happy to report it is now working again.

Home Sweet Gnome Slider Card with Franci

Hi there, Franci here with you today to share you a card that I'm in love with! I'm having the best time with the new Home Sweet Gnome set and the Sliding Window die set.

First, I created my card mechanism out of some white cardstock and this beautiful green pattern paper included in the Amazing Argyle 6x6 paper set. I was inspired by a Jennifer McGuire card to create my own and you can also find a detailed tutorial on how to assemble this card on her YouTube channel. Then I stamped these little gnomes, colored them with Copics, and die cut them with their coordinating dies.

I colored my front panel background with Distress inks to mimic the grass and a cloudy sky. I let it dry and then I embossed the sentiment in gold at the bottom. I glued down all of the images with a combo of liquid glue and foam adhesive, and added some details with a white gel pen to all the images.

I'm totally in love with these little gnomes! This new release is so full of amazing products, and some of my new favorites! 

Oh, and I took all of my photos of this card and then I realized that I did not stamp anything on top or add a little bow! Oops! So I added a little heart at the top on my white cardstock and the card is done!

Fall Flicks Filmstrip Dies Fall Themed Greetings Card with Juliana

Hello friends! It's Juliana Michaels with you today to share an Fall Greetings cards created using the new Fall Flicks Filmstrip die and Greetings Word die. This is the first time I've made a card using only die cuts and it was so much fun!

As I was playing around with the new Fall Flicks Filmstrip die, I came up with the idea of create a wreath to decorate the card front. I began by cutting a wreath from kraft cardstock using the middle die from the Fancy Frames Circle die set.

Next, I set about die cutting a bunch of pumpkins and sunflowers from colored cardstock. Initially, I attempted to use the leaves from the Fall Flicks Filmstrip die, however because they were on a stem, I was having difficulty figuring out how to use them. As I looked for another option, I noticed a tiny coordinating leaf die that was part of the Fall Kiddos stamp and die set. The die was the perfect size to use for the sunflowers. After I finished assembling the pumpkins and sunflowers, I added them to the wreath. I used double sided foam adhesive to pop up some of the die cuts. To complete the wreath, I added the sentiment using the Greetings Word die to a white cardstock banner.

Once the wreath was finished and I was looking at the card, it just seemed like it was missing something. That's when I came up with the idea to used the filmstrip part of the die as the background for the card. By cutting it from white cardstock and layering it onto a white card base, it adds a bit of texture and dimension to the background.
