Foxy Friends Card with Marine

Hi crafty friends, Marine here, I'm happy to be back with this super sweet slimline card showcasing the cutest foxes ever! Those little guys are from Foxy Friends, I had a blast coloring them, and I added a bunch of other images from different sets to create a cute scene.

As very often, I started off by stamping the images on 110lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I cut them all using the coordinating dies, and colored everything using my Ohuhu markers. Here is a detailed list of the stamp sets I used: • Foxy Friends - foxes, birds, tulips • Seasonal Trees - trees, birdhouses • Bunnyville - grass • Spring Showers - kites • Tulip Path Background - clouds, butterflies.

For the background, I could have created a simple stenciled slimline background, but I decided to make it more interesting using rounded panels. I cut four Rounded Rectangle Window panels out of Strathmore bristol smooth cardstock, and colored them using stencils and oxide inks. I placed the four panels next to each other on my grip mat, and created the grass first using a slimline grassy stencil from my stash along with mowed lawn and rustic wilderness oxide inks. And for some texture, I mixed rustic wilderness oxide ink with water and added splatters on the grass borders using a slim brush.

Next I created the sky using a slimline cloudy stencil from my stash along with salvaged patina and peacock feathers oxide inks. I mixed peacock feathers oxide ink with water and added splatters on the clouds. And then, I mixed some copic opaque white ink with water, and added white splatters all over the four panels.

Once my four Rounded Rectangle Window panels were dry, I attached each panel to a white Rounded Rectangle Mat panel using liquid glue, and then I stuck my four panels on a slimline kraft panel. Next I attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and then added highlights and details using a white gel pen. I white heat embossed "You're foxtastic" from Foxy Friends on aqua cardstock, trimmed it into a banner, attached it to my panel using foam squares, and finally applied white blizzard nuvo drops to the butterflies wings to make them super shiny.

Balloon Alphabet Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am making a mini slimline birthday card with the fun Balloon Alphabet stamps and dies! Since this release contains so many adorable critters, I decided to go for a sweet ‘cats and dogs’ celebration!

To start, I cut a white rectangle background panel to the size of a mini slimline and divided it in two parts with some post-it tape. The sky portion was inked with Distress Oxide  Picked Raspberry and a cloud stencil I pulled from my stash. For the ground, I used a light brown ink to which I added details and shading with my Copics. After gluing this piece to a pink striped paper (Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones), I mounted everything to a white card base.

All the images were selected from Cat Antics and Party Pets, two sets that work so well together!  I colored them with Copic markers in neutral tones since I really wanted the sentiment to shine.

Then it was time to select the letters to spell the word ‘Congrats’ from the Balloon Alphabet stamps and dies set. I used 4 different colors of Memento dye inks for all the stamping. To save time, I kept the dies connected and die cut all the letters at once, I just store the ones I didn’t use for a later project!

I took my time to figure out the placement of letters and critters before I adhered them with foam tape. Lastly, I drew the balloon strings with a black pen. As a final embellishment, I added a few White Diamond Jewels.

Majestic Meadow Card with Amanda

Hey, happy crafty friends! It’s Amanda here on the blog with you today! I’m excited to share this unique shaker card with you and how I made it!

I love the new Majestic Meadow Stamps SO much! There are just so many different ways you can use all the stamps in the set! I stamped the main background image on a piece of white cardstock. I trimmed the cardstock to 4”x5”. Then, I cut the panel into thirds.  

I trimmed a piece of black cardstock to 4.25” x 5.5” to use as my front panel. Because I’m human and make mistakes, making the 3 pieces exactly the same width and having the perfect gaps between them was a difficult task! Instead of using exact measurements, I trimmed the pieces a little at a time until they were almost perfectly aligned and the same width (or at least perfect enough to the naked eye!). Then, I glued them to the black panel. I sprinkled a mix of gold and copper sequins and then applied an A2 shaker pouch to the panel.

My adorable little bunnies are from the Tulip Path Background Stamps and the Balloon Numbers Stamps. I stamped them with black ink and then colored them in with Copic markers. I cut them out with the coordinating Tulip Path Background Dies and Balloon Numbers Dies.

I stamped the Balloon Alphabet Stamps with a WOW! Embossing pad. I applied polished gold embossing powder and then melted the powder with a heat tool.

I cut the balloons out with the Balloon Alphabet Dies. I put the balloons on a foam pad and then poked 2 small holes with a needle. I threaded white thread through the holes to make it look like the string was wrapped around the balloons. I did the same process with the little bunnies' hands.

I put 3D foam squares behind the bunnies and the balloons and then adhered them to the front of my card. I glued the entire thing to an A2 sized card base to complete the card! And, that’s it for this card! I love the monochromatic look, don’t you?!

Rounded Rectangle Mat Die Focused Card with Leanne

Hi there! Leanne here to share a cheerful spring scene framed up with the Rounded Rectangle Mat dies. To create the scene I have used images from the Foxy Friends stamp set along with a mix of other Sunny Studio dies. 

The list below is a break down of all the Sunny Studio products needed to create this A2 card design plus how each was used.

• Rounded Rectangle Mat dies - to die cut the pink gingham mat and scene mat.
• Foxy Friends stamp set & coordinating dies - for stamped and colored images plus the stamped part of the greeting. 
• Hello Word die - for the hello word which has been die cut from light and dark pink card stocks then layered.
• Picket Fence Border die - for the fence and grass elements. 
• Classic Gingham paper pad - for the pink gingham patterned paper mat.

To color the sky area, grass, and fence, I used the following Catherine Pooler inks: for the sky - Oh Boy; for the grass - Garden Party; for the fence - Sand Castle. 

Copics used for coloring the images: fox - E13, E15, E17, W1, W3; chicks - YR30, Y11, Y18; watering can- T2, T4; wagon - N6, E44, RV10, RV04; flowers in pot - E11, E13, RV23, RV25, YR12, YR16, YG11, YG17.

Background Basics 2 Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today with a fun birthday card to share with you showcasing the Background Basics 2 Stamps, Foxy Friends and Little Birdie sets. I love that this Background Basics 2 Stamps allows you to create a patterned paper to match any scheme. 

I stamped the foxes from the Foxy Friends stamps, birds from the Little Birdie stamps and the balloon from the Party Pets Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Foxy Friends Dies, Little Birdie Dies and Party Pets Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.

Fox: YR21/23/24/27 E09, W00/1/3, W7, R00/30
Birds: Y11/13/15 YR27, Y38, R20
Pink: RV21/23/25
Yellow: Y11/13/15
Green: YG03/17

For the background, I masked off the top portion of a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and lightly ink blended the grass with Mowed Lawn DIstress Oxide ink. The second largest die from the Rounded Rectangle Mat Dies was used to trim out the panel. A white gel pen was used to add some dots and interest to the grass.

For the sentiment, I used the Brilliant Banner 1 Die to die cut a banner out of the same Neenah Solar White cardstock. I didn't have a perfectly matched piece of pink cardstock so I colored with banner with the same pink Copic markers that I used for the colored images (RV21/23/25). I stamped one of the sentiments from the new Inside Greetings Belated Birthday Stamps set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the banner. I assembled the banner die and adhered the banner to the panel with foam tape.

I used Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink to stamp the Background Basics 2 Stamps onto another piece of white cardstock (4.25" x 5.5"). Once the panel was dried, I trimmed a total of 1/8" off from each dimension of the panel. Once again, to create a matching cardstock, I used a Copic marker (RV25) to color the edge of a piece of white cardstock (4.25" x 5.5"). I adhered the two pink panels together. 

I adhered colored images to the grassy panel with foam tape. A piece of craft foam was adhered to the back of the grassy panel before it was adhered to the two pink panels. Finally, I adhered the finished panel to an A2 white cardbase (4.25" x 5.5"I).
