Build-A-Bowl Die Focused Card with Nicky

Happy Friday everyone, this is Nicky with you today and I hope you are looking forward to the weekend and perhaps some time to craft. I have a new card for Sunny Studio Stamps today featuring the Build-A-Bowl Dies, which can inspire many designs. Read on for the details.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Build-A-Bowl Die Focused Card by Nicky Meeks (featuring Wild Cherry Dies, Big Bunny, Punny Fruit Greetings)

I grabbed an A2 panel of sturdy white cardstock and I ink blended a focal point using Tropic Teal ink by The Stamp Market. I dotted in some interest and then glued to my card base.

Using the Build-A-Bowl Dies and some pale pink cardstock I die cut the fruit bowl and shaded in a little subtle interest using Copic markers. Next, I used the Wild Cherry Dies and die cut cardstock several times over to create lots and lots of cherries which I ink blended using Lipstick Red and Cactus inks again by The Stamp Market.

I assembled the cherries and started building a mound of juicy cherries in the bowl by layering and gluing in place. I then backed the bowl of fruit with dimensional foam tape and adhered it to the background panel.

I stamped Big Bunny and coloured using Copic markers in E44, E31, E41, E40, W00 and blushed her cheeks with R27, RV06, RV02, RV00, RV000. Points were highlighted with a white gel pen then I added foam tape behind the bunny's head and tucked it in behind the bowl of cherries so that she's peeking out from behind.

Last but not least the sentiment was taken from Punny Fruit Greetings and each word was added at playful angles, popped up on more foam tape.

I hope my card has inspired you to build a bowl of 'something'. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll be back next Friday with something new.

Big Panda Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, I'm super excited to be back on the blog with this bright and colorful interactive card featuring Big Panda which is an amazing addition to the large critters we already have: Big Bunny and Holiday Hugs. Tropical cards are always so fun to make, I like to use vibrant colors when I create one, and this new card makes no exception.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Big Panda Summer Themed Card by Marine Simon (featuring Stitched Rectangle Dies, Seasonal Trees, Sending Sunshine, Fabulous Flamingos)

I started off by stamping my images on 80lb Neenah solar white cardstock using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and colored everything using my Graph'it brush markers and my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers.

Here is a detailed list of the products I used: • Big Panda for the panda, coconut cocktail and sunglasses • Fabulous Flamingos for the tropical leaves and flowers • Panda Party for the banner • Sending Sunshine for the small palm tree • Seasonal Trees for the large palm tree and coconuts

I cut a 5 x 3,75 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel using the largest Stitched Rectangle, and colored it using oxide inks. From top to bottom, I applied tumbled glass, squeezed lemonade and dried marigold. And I added a jungle pattern using a tropical leaves stencil from my stash along with, from top to bottom, salty ocean, mustard seed and carved pumpkin oxide inks. Next I added texture to my panel to make it even more interesting, starting with water splatters that I dried with a paper towel. I also mixed some black soot oxide ink with water and used a small brush to make more splatters, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink mixed with water.

Next I cut and colored two additional Strathmore bristol smooth panels. The first one measures 5 x 3,25 inches, and I colored it using tumbled glass oxide ink. I cut the second one using the largest Stitched Rectangle, and I colored it using squeezed lemonade oxide ink.

Once my tropical panel was dry, I cut my Sliding Window out of it, as well as the notch at the top, folded my panel on the score lines, flipped it over, and added double sided tape on the slim bottom tab. I peeled the backing paper off this tab, flipped my additional blue panel over, and attached it at the back of my tropical panel, lining up the bottom edge of the blue panel with the slim tab. I glued the small tab piece at the top of the blue panel, pierced a hole on that tab, cut a yellow eyelet using a die from Sliding Window, attached this eyelet on the tab, and added gold thread to create a handle and be able to pull the tab.

I flipped my tropical panel over, and added foam strips along the bottom edge, on the side edges as well, but not along the top edge. I peeled all the backing papers off, and attached my tropical panel to the extra yellow panel to complete the whole interactive process. Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches light brown woodgrain panel, and attached my interactive panel to it using liquid glue.

I attached all my images on my panel using 1mm and 2mm foam squares. I also created two sentiments. I white heat embossed "Hello" and "Summer" from Big Panda on black cardstock, and cut them using the coordinating dies. I attached "Hello" at the top of the pull tab using foam squares, attached "Summer" on the inside and stamped "Happy" from Big Panda right above it in black. And finally I added highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

And that's it! I love this super cute summer card, it turned out so bright and

Strawberry Patch Card with Tina

Hello crafters, it’s Tina and today I am making a fun shaped card using the yummy Strawberry Patch Dies. I love making sweet mini cards and the largest of the Scalloped Circle Mats 3 dies is perfect for this.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Strawberry Patch Birthday Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Scalloped Circle Mat Dies, Stitched Circle Dies, Punny Fruit Greetings, Harvest Mice)

For some extra interest, I inked up this white circle with Distress Oxide Picked Raspberry. To create my card base, I used a smaller size circle die (like the Stitched Circle Small Dies). By folding the white paper in two and not cutting the top part, you’ll end up with the perfect circle base.

Of course, I needed a few cute critters for picking the strawberries and after browsing my stash, I decided to stamp two adorable mice and their wheelbarrow from the Harvest Mice set. Next, I die cut a bunch of strawberries, flowers, and leaves (Strawberry Patch Dies).

Instead of using inks for my die cuts, I used my Copic Markers for all the coloring, and I added some details with a white gel pen. The sentiment was selected from the Punny Fruit Greetings and stamped on a white banner with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Time to assemble this mini card! I glued the pink circle panel to the shaped card base. Next, I assembled the wheelbarrow and the pile of strawberries. I mounted this piece with foam tape, added the sentiment banner and the cute mice. I love how their tails cover the banner. Finally, I glued some Gold Jewels to the centers of the flowers.

Thank you for joining me and I am looking forward to seeing your yummy creations with these fun dies! Happy crafting!

Sliding Window Die Focused Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here with an interactive card featuring the Sliding Window dies. I combined it with a variety of products from the previous releases. It's really easy to create this card and the pdf instructions in the product section are very clear with step by step photos.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sliding Window Die Focused Birthday Card by Isha Gupta (featuring Big Panda, Panda Party)

I started by die-cutting the slider mechanism using the dies from the Subtle Grey Tones pattern paper. Next stamp the images, color using copic markers and die-cut using the coordinating dies.

Cupcake - Holiday Hugs stamps and dies
Balloons - Birthday Balloon stamp and die

I sponged the pull out panel and the panel behind the sliding mechanism using salty ocean, salvaged patina distress oxide inks. Assemble the slider card as per the instructions. Adhere the images. and this fun interactive card is ready.

Hope you give this a try. Have a nice day and thanks for dropping by!

Limitless Labels Die Focused Card with Leanne

Hello friends it's Leanne here! If you saw my blog post last week, then you'll recall that I shared a card featuring the Fresh Lemon Dies with a very feminine color palette. I wanted to challenge myself and use the lemons again but this time with a masculine color palette. Since Father's Day is coming up, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to combine the lemons and a punny greeting to create a fun card for Dad.

This card also features the Limitless Labels 1 dies which I've used to make a layered mat to spotlight the lemons and greeting on my card.  I thought the shape of the Limitless Labels worked very well for a masculine theme.

The inks I used to color the die-cut lemons and letters are Catherine Pooler Lime Rickey (green) and Tiara (yellow).

Here are a few other details about how I created this card: I used the Moroccan Circle Embossing Folder to create the embossed dark blue background that covers my A2 card base. Overtop that I've adhered a 2.25" wide strip of green Classic Gingham paper.

I've used the Chloe Alphabet dies to create letters that spell the word "DAD". The stamped sentiment is from Punny Fruit Greetings. The whole lemon and slices were created with Fresh Lemon dies. And that little bow tie image can be found in the Big Bunny stamp set.
