Summer Jar Mug Die Focused Card with Nicky

Hello friends this is Nicky with you today and I'm sharing a fun summer themed card with you today working with products from Sunny's fun summer release, focusing on the Summer Jar Mugs Dies. Read on for all the details.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Summer Jar Mug Die Focused Card by Marine Simon (featuring Scalloped Square Dies)

I started by die-cutting the main white panel using the Scalloped Square 1 Large Dies. I masked just inside the faux stitched line and grabbed an old stencil from my stash and using Sunshine, Fresh Pink and Seaglass inks from The Stamp Market I ink blended some 'bubbles' softly then removed the mask. I backed the panel with some white craft foam and layered it over a larger patterned cardstock panel from the Dots & Stripes Pastels Paper and that patterned panel was glued to a 5 3/4 inch white panel which I glued to my card base. These dimensions build a pleasingly substantial card!

I then used sturdy white cardstock and some acetate and I die cut the Summer Jar Mugs Dies forms. I believe I die cut 6 times from the heavyweight white cardstock and I layered them together, filled with a selection of fun shaker embellishments from my stash, then used the acetate die cut to seal the window closed, adding one more cardstock panel to finish the mug off. I inserted the straw and umbrella behind the mug and adhered it to the card's background.

To finish the card I took the sentiments from the Big Panda stamp set, stamped with Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and die cut the word SUMMER using the coordinating die for the set. I applied these words at playful angles using dimensional foam tape and to finish the scene I applied 3 sparkling clear sequin accents all in different sizes.

Another card done! I appreciate you coming to read the blog today and look forward to being back with you next Friday with something new to share and meanwhile I wish you wonderful weekend.

Wild Cherry Die Focused Card with Marine

Hi crafty friends, Marine here with you today, back with a bright and cheerful card showcasing the Wild Cherries, one of the fruit themed die sets from the Summer 2024 release. So amazing!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wild Cherry Die Focused Card by Marine Simon

I started off by creating a light pink cloudy background on a 5,5 x 4,25 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel using a stencil from my stash along with spun sugar oxide ink. Next I used a cherry stencil, from my stash again, along with worn lipstick, festive berries, shabby shutters, mowed lawn, vintage photo and ground espresso oxide inks, and created a beautiful cherry background. I splattered water all over the panel and dried it using a paper towel. I also mixed some ground espresso oxide ink with water and used a small brush to add more texture to my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink.

Next I cut all my bits and pieces: cherries, stems, branches, leaves, flowers and bird out of colored cardstock, and used oxide inks to add shadows and more depth to each element. Here is a detailed list of the products I used: • Wild Cherries for the cherries, stems, leaves • Out On A Limb for the branches • Wicker Basket for the flowers • Build A Birdhouse for the bird

I cut a Frilly Frames Hexagon scalloped panel out of vellum, temporarily taped it to my stenciled panel using washi tape, and then attached all the die-cut pieces on the vellum using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, as well as 3mm glue dots and liquid glue, leaving enough space in the center for my Punny Fruit Greeting. I first white heat embossed "You're the" and "On top of my day", leaving enough space for the word "Cherry" that I stamped using festive berries oxide ink and then heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Next I removed the washi tape pieces, flipped my vellum panel over, added liquid glue behind each die-cut piece, and then attached the panel to my stenciled background.

For the finishing touches, I added a black dot on the bird's eye using black nuvo drops, highlights and details to the elements using a white gel pen, and three dots in the center of each flower using white nuvo drops. And that's it! This card was super fun to make, I love those beautiful cherries and how the word "Cherry" turned out so glossy.

And I think that the addition of that little birdie makes the card even cuter, doesn't it? Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time!

Tropical Birds Card with Tina

Hi crafty friends, Tina here and since the warm sun is out today I have a card featuring the adorable Tropical Birds for you! As most card makers I always struggle with little pieces of left over card stock. So, I wanted to use these ‘scraps’ in my design today.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tropical Birds Birthday Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Tropical Scenes, Punny Fruit Greetings, Fresh Lemon Dies)

My base consists of three white mini card bases and I discovered that the big ‘leaf structure’ from Tropical Scenes was perfect to connect these pieces together! I stamped the large branch image once and cut it with the matching die.

Next, I cut three more of these branches from plain white card stock, these will be my support pieces to glue the card design together! I selected three cute birds and several leaves from the Tropical Birds set and cut them with the dies. To get that tropical vibe, I needed to use vibrant Copic colors.

Distress Oxide Squeezed Lemonade was the perfect shade to add some interest to the three mini card bases, for this I used a stencil from my stash. To tie in the yellow color even more I found some lemons I created for another project (Fresh Lemon Dies).

The Misti came in very handy to position my three mini panels and connect them by gluing the large branch across these pieces. For extra support, I repeated this step on the inside of the front, and also twice on the back of my card base. The mini panels were now securely attached together. I added the sweet birds, lemon slices and extra leaves following the shape of the large branch.

The sentiment was selected from the Punny Fruit Greetings and stamped onto a small white banner with Versafine Onyx Black ink. A few Gold Jewels were all the embellishment this card needed.

Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting with these fun products!

Stitched Square Die Focused Card with Isha

Hello everyone, Isha is back here with a happy, CAS, rainbow theme card featuring the Stitched Square dies. This card can easily be masculine theme and by changing the colors, we can make it more feminine or monochromatic.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Stitched Square Die Focused Birthday Card by Isha Gupta

I started by die-cutting the small squares using the 2nd. smallest die from various colors of cardstock. Next I used two of the bigger dies and created a white frame to make all the squares look as one focal image.

Stamp the sentiment from the Punny Fruit Greetings onto black card using versamark ink, sprinkle WOW! opaque white embossing powder, heat set. Cut the sentiment in a stripe and adhere in the center using foam tape. Adhere this piece to a grey mat layer and then onto white cardbase. I stamped the butterfly onto vellum from the Watering Can stamp set, sprinkle white embossing powder and heat set. Die-cut using the coordinating dies.

Thank you for dropping by and have a nice day!

Fresh Lemon Die Focused Card with Leanne

Hello crafty friends! It's Leanne here and I have a zesty card to share that showcases how I've used the Fresh Lemon dies

Sunny Studio Stamps: Fresh Lemon Card with Leanne West (featuring Punny Fruit Greetings, Frilly Frame Dies, Chloe Alphabet Dies)

I started this design by covering an A2-size card base with a panel of patterned paper from the Gingham Pastels paper pad. Next, I added a decorative white mat I die cut with the Frilly Frames Lattice die. Then I layered on an inked and splattered panel trimmed down to 3.25 x 4.5 inches.

For the main focal point of this card design, I created a little gathering of some whole lemons and slices. I used dies from Fresh Lemons to cut out all the pieces from white card stock. I used blending brushes and a few different Catherine Pooler inks to color: Sage, Matcha, Lemongrass, and Catching Rays for the lemons and foliage. For the little blossoms, I used Sparkling Berry to add just a touch of pink to the petal edges.

To complete this design, I added a custom greeting that is part stamped and part die cut. For the stamped part, I used words from Punny Fruit Greetings. For the letters that spell the word "zest", I used dies from the Chloe Alphabet set. I inked up the letters with the color Catching Rays, applying darker at the bottom and lighter towards the top for an ombre effect.
