Designers Choice Cards with Marine and Anja

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today with two super cute mini slimline cards featuring a bunny mom with her bunny kids and a panda dad with his panda kids.

I started by stamping the images using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. I stamped the bunny from Critters on the Go, as well as the bear on the scooter two times. I turned one of the bears into a panda, and used the bunny head to turn the other bear into a bunny. I also stamped the bunny heads and bear heads from Balloon Rides, the cart from Harvest Mice and some tiny bows from Spring Showers.

I colored all the images using my alcohol markers. And to make the pandas, I first divided the bear bodies and heads into several parts using a pencil, next I used a black memento pen to trace over those lines, and I colored the legs, arms, ears and eyes in black, leaving the remaining parts white.

After the coloring, I created two identical mini slimline backgrounds. I cut two 6 x 3 inches bristol panels and created a cloudy sky on each panel using a cloud stencil from my stash along with tumbled glass and salty ocean oxide inks.

Next I cut a 6 x 3 inches panel out of a green pattern paper from the Spring Fling paper pack, and used the grass border die from Picket Fence to cut two grass borders out of this green pattern paper. And I attached a grass border on each panel using foam squares.

I cut some letters using the Chloe Alphabet die set to make the words "Mom" and "Dad", I also stamped the second part of my sentiment on each panel, "Thanks for always being there" from Words of Gratitude, and then I attached the images using a combination of glue dots and foam squares to stick the biggest images and liquid glue for the smallest ones such as the tiny bows.

Hi everyone, Anja here and sadly, this will be my last post as a member of the Sunny Studio Creative Team. Today's card is dedicated to Mendi, the owner of this wonderful company. Thank you so much for having me! I had a blast designing cards with your adorable products for over 3 years.

I combined some Spring Release and previously released products for my final card. Of course I had to use one of the cute Passionate Penguins again!

I started off with a white A2 top folding card base and masked off the bottom to create an ink blended background with Distress Oxides. I mixed Cracked Pistachio and Salvaged Patina to achieve a beautiful mint color which fades downward into Tattered Rose. For the ground I blended on a bit of Pumice Stone ink.

Next, I stamped the row of houses, trees and lamp post (Charming City Stamps) as well as the penguin in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copic Markers. I cut them out with the coordinating dies. The Eiffel Tower from the Paris Afternoon set was stamped in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder.

I cut the 'thank you' word die included in the Slimline Scalloped Frame Dies set from white cardstock and combined it with a black stamped Words of Gratitude sub sentiment. Finally, I assembled the card and added two enamel hearts in matching colors.

Designers Choice Cards with Gladys and Franci

Happy Wednesday! Gladys here with this cute card using the adorable Bunnyville stamp set. Since Easter is this Sunday I wanted to share this card with you today and I also wanted to use the adorable bunnies from this set again. I love the sweet expressions on their faces!

To begin I stamped the images on 110lb cardstock with alcohol friendly ink. I searched Pinterest for an Easter color palette and I went with a fresh spring color scheme. I colored them using copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out.

Next I cut an A2 size panel from Bristol smooth cardstock. I ink blended the background using distress oxide inks and stencils. For the sky I used salvaged patina and for the grass I used mowed lawn and twisted citron. For interest I diluted salvaged patina with water and splatter it on the sky with a small paint brush. I repeated the steps using mowed lawn for the grass section.

Then it was time to assemble the card. Once I was happy with the placement of all the images I used a combination of liquid glue and double sided foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiment on the top center of the panel and added highlights with a white gel pen to finish off this sweet Easter card.

Hi there! It's Franci here with you today, with a happy Easter card featuring the Bunnyville set. These little bunnies are so cute! 

First I stamped all the images, colored them with copics and cut them out with their coordinated dies, then I created my card base out of more white cardstock, masked the front bottom and gently inked the top with a light yellow ink.

I removed the mask and stamped the sentiment at the bottom in a light green ink , then arranged all my bunnies into this cute scene and secured them down with foam adhesive and liquid glue. 

Finally I added some colorfull sequins and this card is ready to wish Happy Easter from me to all of you!

Designers Choice Cards with Kavya and Isha

Hi folks, Kavya here with another fun card that uses a bunch of products that you might already have in your stash. I love it when I find sets that can be combined to create cards for any occasion! This card is winter themed card but can be used all year long :)

I first started off by stamping and coloring a bunch of images from different sets:

• Snail Mail - Post Box, envelopes and a bunch of hearts
• Scenic Route - Winter trees landscape
• Heart Bouquet
• Winter Scenes - Igloo
• Passionate Penguins - Two penguins
• Christmas Critters - Gift Box

Later, I created my background by ink blending Blueprint sketch, Milled Lavender, Shaded Lilac and Tattered Rose distress oxide inks. I added some faux snow by splattering some white paint. Finally, adhere all the stamped images and finish it off by adding a sentiment from Snail Mail.

Hello everyone. Isha today with a layered spring theme card. I love flowers and watercolor.

I took a white cardbase. Die-cut the frame using the Frilly Frames Lattice from white cardstock. Adhere to the card using 3d foam. Cut a piece from the Flirty Flower pattern paper and adhere to the frame. die-cut the oval and the frilly oval using Stitched Oval 2 dies and Scalloped Oval Mat 3 dies. Adhere to the card. 

Die-cut the word HUGS, dab embossing ink and sprinkle WOW! metallic gold rich powder. Heat set.

Die-cut some leaves using the Spring Greenery dies from white cardstock and vellum. Stamp the 3rd layer of the flowers from the Cherry Blossoms stamp using clear embossing ink. Emboss with WOW! white powder, heat set. Colour using watercolors. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Assemble the card, flick gold watercolor.

Designers Choice Card with Mayra

Hello and happy Monday everyone, Mayra here. I can't believe this is my last card as a DT member of this wonderful company. It has been such a joy and blessing to be part of this team. Today, I created a card to share with you using the lovely Spring Greenery die set. 

I began by die-cutting the base panel using the Stitched Rectangle die set, the scalloped layer using the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace die set, and the greenery from the Spring Greenery die set. I then added color to the die-cuts using Shabby Shutter, Peeled Paint, and Forest Moss Distress Oxide inks. 

I then heat embossed the sentiment from the Lovey Dovey stamp set onto vellum and then used the coordinating die to die-cut the sentiment. I hope you enjoy the card I created to share with you today. Guest Designer Spotlight: Cards with Linda van Wely

Hi everyone! Linda here today from Stampin with Liz Design! I'm so excited to be a guest designer at Sunny Studio Stamps!

For my first project I am sharing an adorable card with you all today that I created with the amazing Passionate Penguins stamp set!

I started this card with a white card base in A2 size on which I added a front panel. I used a scalloped stitched die for my panel and then blended a fun background on this piece. I used different colours of Ranger Distress Oxide ink and a cloud stencil to blend with.

I then added loads of splatters to my background, which I love doing! It makes a background so much more fun! I then stamped, die-cut and coloured the super cute penguins from the stamp set. Aren't they adorable driving their car?

For my next card I created this fun underwater scene with the amazing Sea You Soon stamp set!

I started this card with a white card base in A2 size and then added a front panel, which I die-cut with a Wonky Stitched die. I then blended a fun background on this piece, using different colours of Ranger Distress Oxide ink. I created a mask, using the amazing Bursting Hearts die!

After blending my background, I added some white splatters to make it a bit more fun. I added the fun sentiment 'Sea you soon' at the bottom of the ocean and then added the fun underwater critters from the Sea You Soon stamp set!
