Today I'm sharing product peeks and card ideas for a new 2x3 stamp set and coordinating dies we having coming called Beautiful Autumn. We also have a cute new standalone acorn die called Nutty For You and 4 new 6x6 patterned paper packs that I'm very excited about! :)
Card No. 1: Up first is a card showcasing the Beautiful Autumn Stamps along with a few of the striped papers from our new Dots & Striped Jewel Tones 6x6 Paper pack. I colored my leaves & little acorns with Copic Markers and layered them under my two strips of brown patterned paper that had been stitched on my sewing machine for a fun border. I then stamped my sentiment (from a new set that will be shared tomorrow) onto a pennant from our Fancy Frames Rectangle dies which I popped up with foam tape in the center.
Card No. 2: For my next card I positioned my Happy Word die where I wanted it before stamping the leaves and acorns around it using VersaMark ink which was heat embossed in white onto Bristol paper. I then watercolored the images using THESE Daniel Smith Watercolors mixing them on a palette to create my own custom colors.
While my images were drying I stamped them again onto masking material and fussy cut them out (several stacked at a time). I then positioned the masks over my watercolored imaged and sponged on some Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks onto the background. To keep with the waterolor look of my images I spritzed the entire background with water and dabbed it with a paper towel to give the look of water droplets.
After everything was completely dry I heated embossed my Autumn sentiment in white and stacked several of the happy die-cuts on top of each other to give the look of chipboard.

Card No. 3: Up next is a peek at our newest standalone die called Nutty For You. This die set comes with all the pieces to create a layered acorn perfect for small shaped cards, gift tags, shaker card windows or embellishments for all sorts of paper crafts!
Here I cut him out of our new Gingham Jewel Tones 6x6 Paper and added some epoxy dots for his eyes to create a little gift enclosure sized shaped card. I can't help but smile every time I see him.

Card No. 4: For this version, I went more pretty than cutesy by eliminating the face and turning it into a gift tag using the "to" and "from" stamps from our Christmas Icons Set. I punched a 1/8" circle just under the knot of my bow to tie some twine through and then used a sheer polka-dot ribbon topped with a little die-cut leaf (the new freebie for this release) coated with some glossy accents. I love the results. I think these would be really fun to make for a fall retreat or as a housewarming gift.
Card No. 5: Up next is a card showing that you can also use the dies to cut the acorn from felt. For this technique I started by adhering my felt to a piece of cardstock in a similar color using a double sided adhesive like Stick It. To get the adhesive sheet to really adhere well to the wool felt I first ran the felt with the adhesive and cardstock backing through my die-cutting machine with no dies. Loved the results and how well this worked to give my felt stability!
When building my card I mixed patterns from our new Preppy Patterns 6x6 Paper and Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper packs. The acorn die set comes with the "nutty" word which I combined with the words "for you" using a sentiment from our Christmas Icons stamps. To ground them I cut two pennants using our Fancy Frames Rectangle dies. As a final finishing touch I added a little ric rac edge using our Ric Rac Border dies and some little hearts die-cut from hot pink cardstock.

Card No. 6: For my last card of the day I thought it would be fun to show how well the dies work for shaker cards too! I started by cutting the whole acorn shape from my front card panel using a diamond pattern from our Preppy Patterns 6x6 Paper. I then backed the opening with a piece of acetate and adhered the top portion of the acorn over the top of the acetate.
For the inside portion of my shaker, I heat embossed my sentiment from the Beautiful Autumn set onto a brown striped paper from the Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones Paper pack and colored a bunch of the small acorns from that same Beautiful Autumn set to be my shaker element.
To continue my acorn theme, I colored a tree stump and two chipmunks by combining heads, tails and bodies from our Comfy Creatures and Woodsy Creatures sets. :)
