Hey there
Sunny fans, Nancy here today with a closer look at the Petite Poinsettias stamp
and coordinating die set. I've been busy making piles of Christmas cards getting ready
for one of my favorite seasons! I love creating at least one set of traditional
red and green holiday cards. The beautiful poinsettia design is a bonus.
To create
this card, begin with a white cardstock base and cut a one inch slice off of
the right side of the front panel. Back the strip that is peeking through with
a holiday theme patterned paper. Next, stamp the edge of card with the pine
needles from the Holiday Style stamp set. I used pigment ink in two shades of
green for a more realistic, textured look.
The poinsettia is a layered stamp
that is so much fun to use. It's like magic! I used three shades of red pigment
ink to create this dimensional beauty. I used foam tape to give is a little pop
and a few sequins for movement. Last, the sentiment from Petite Poinsettias was
combined with a smaller sentiment in Holiday Style for the perfectly stacked
title.
I hope this card has
given you some ideas on how to create some traditional Christmas cards with a
design twist!
