Hello there! We're so excited to be joining you today to share some fun ideas for holiday gift tags for Day 8 of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags! :)
Hello there! Franci here
with you today with some festive tags! I'm super happy to be part of the 25
Days of Christmas Tags 2017 by Tracey!!
I created these tags
with the Petite Poinsettias and the Festive Greetings stamp sets. I die cut
them with the Tag Topper Dies -Traditional and I colored them with Distress
Inks. The colors that I used are: Spiced Marmalade, Tumbled Glass, Shabby
Shutters and Abandoned Coral. I sprinkled them with a little with water, and
then put a paper towel on the top to remove the excess water and let them dry.
I stamped all my
poinsettias and I die cut them with the coordinating dies. Then I stamped all of
my sentiments onto my tags with the Versamark ink and heat embossed all of them
with a silver embossing powder. Finally, I glued all of the flowers in
place and added some twine and ribbons to make them extra festive. Perfect for
all my Christmas gifts!
Next up is Lexa... Hi there! Today I used the Cresent Tag Topper Dies to make my tag. I used the largest one which is 3" wide. Since I'm totally a dog person, I choose this adorable puppy from Pet Sympathy and add the Santa hat from Jolly Gingerbread Stamps. This little friend originally had a heart on his mouth, but I replaced it with a Christmas sock from Playful Polar Bear instead. The present comes from the older stamp set, Christmas Icons, just like it's name you can find anything related to Christmas in one stamp set.
I blended some Mowed Lawn Distress Inks for the background and stamped some cute paws with green dye ink. A classic red, green and gold won't hurt at all. It's simple and lovely as always. I use matching thin ribbon and twines, and finished it with some pretty sequins.
For the last set of tags, I couldn't resist joining in the fun with some tags of my own using our Sunny Semi Circles dies for the tag shape and Polar Playmate stamps (& various other sets) for embellishing. ;)
I cut a 2.5" wide x 4" high tag from white cardstock which I masked off for the snow drift before applying Shaded Lilac distress ink to my background and rounding the bottom corners. I then stamped the background twice with our mini Frosty Flurries stamps which I heat embossed with white pearl embossing powder.
Then for each tag, I cut two more from black polka-dot paper measuring 3" x 4.5". I wanted my tags to look as cute on the back as on the front so I adhered my cardstock tag to the patterned paper and stitched around the edge before adhering the second piece cut from patterned paper to the back of my tags. Once they were adhered together, I was able to use my Crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the top and set an eyelet to run my twine through. I love the finished look an eyelet gives to gift tags, don't you?
I hope we've inspired you to create some gift tags of your own and will join the festivities over on Tracey's blog. There's so many great prizes up for grabs. ;)
