Color My World & Looking Sharp Cards with Mona

Hi crafty friends! It's Mona here and I am super excited to be a guest on the Sunny Studio Stamp blog. Today I have 2 cute projects for you with the Color my World and Looking Sharp sets.

First, I have created 3 lovely bookmarks with adorable and colorful crayons. I made a bulk stamp layering for these cuties, and it was so much fun! I just mix and matched my inkpad colors and enjoyed the creating process.

For the stamping I have used the Color my World stamp set with their coordinating dies. For some of them I didn’t stamp the crayon text, instead of that I stamped the cute faces from the Looking Sharp Set.

The next step was the base of the bookmark which I have created with the Build-A-Tag 2 dies. These are shorter, so I cut the tag die-cut in a half, and adhered on it (to the front and the back) a patterned paper from the Dots and Stripes Pastels Paper Pack in size 2” by 4.25”.

In the end I embellished the bookmarks with white tag die-cuts. Put inside colorful eyelets and a handmade tassel as well. 

For my second project I have create a lovely and colorful card, which will brighten up someone’s day.  I have created a white scalloped frame from the Frilly Frames Chevron Dies which I adhered to a 5.5” by 4.25” card base created from Gingham Pastels Cardstock.

Next, I have created the card front with pink patterned paper from the Dots and Stripes Pastels Paper Pack. I stamped on it the sentiment with watermark ink, then I heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I also added a beige wooden card panel on the top of it as a table.

The following step was the stamping and coloring. I stamped the images with black pigment ink from the Looking Sharp and the banner from the Balloon Rides Stamp Set. I have also made a stamp layered brush with the Color my World stamp set.

I colored the stamped images with Tombow Markers and I decided to turn them into rainbow cacti. Aren’t they cute?

Embossing Folder Focused Cards with Tammy and Candice

Hi there! Tammy here sharing this fun summer inspired card, featuring the Sunburst Embossing Folder. I just love the dimension and texture it adds to a card, and when combined with the Fabulous Flamingos Stamps, it makes for a perfect backdrop for these cuties!

To begin, I embossed a piece of Bristol cardstock using the Sunburst Embossing Folder. I then ink blended it with Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxide inks to create a bright, sunshiny background for the flamingos. Next, I die cut white cardstock using the Stitched Rectangle Dies, cutting out a window with the Stitched Arch Dies.

I cut a sandy border and ocean wave border using the Slimline Nature Borders Dies, ink blended them with Distress Oxide inks, then attached them to the Sunburst inked panel. I then attached the white window frame over the inked background using foam tape for dimension.

Next, I stamped, colored with Copic markers, and die cut images from the following sets:
Fabulous Flamingos Stamps/ Coordinating Dies
Tropical Scenes Stamps/ Coordinating Dies

I arranged the stamped images onto my card, attaching some with foam tape for dimension. Lastly, I white heat embossed the sentiment onto a black cardstock strip then attached my card front to an A2 piece of patterned paper from the Summer Splash Paper to complete my card.

Hello crafty friends! It's Candice with you this week continuing to share inspiration using the wonderful embossing folders from Sunny Studio stamps!

I used these Sunny Studio products to create my design:

• Garden Fairy stamps & coordinating dies
• Buffalo Plaid Embossing Folder
• Scalloped Circle Mat 1 dies
• Stitched Circle Small dies
• Slimline Scalloped Frame dies (hello)
• Stitched Rectangle dies (stitched banner)
• Aquamarine jewels

I began my card with a 6 1/2 x 5 card base. For the background, I trimmed a piece of Bristol Smooth to fit smaller than the card base and ran it through my machine with the Buffalo Plaid embossing folder.

Next, I stamped the mushroom house, flowers, and butterflies, colored them with Copic markers and used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I then created the scalloped frame using the circle dies listed above from Kraft cardstock. I glued the frame down, tucked the mushroom house and flowers in gluing the bottoms and using foam tape on the top of the flowers for dimension. I inked a piece of Bristol Smooth with kitsch flamingo and spun sugar, die cut it from the 'hello' and layered it on top of the frame. I finished my card with the sentiment heat embossed in white on the stitched banner inked with the kitsch flamingo and spun sugar and sprinkled a few blue jewels around!

Embossing Folder Focused Cards with Vanessa and Anja

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a sweet birthday card using the beautiful Cable Knit Embossing Folder. You maybe wouldn't think of choosing this one with summer images, but it creates such a wonderful texture, so I did use it for this:

I first trimmed stripes from scraps of colored cardstock and adhered these to a cardstock panel. After I had run this panel through my machine with the embossing folder, I adhered it to the card base.

Here comes a list of the products I used today:

Now I stamped the images onto white cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, die-cut the pieces with the matching dies and adhered the elements to the card with foam tape. I stamped the "sweet" onto aqua cardstock, die-cut it with the matching die, added highlights with a white gel pen and adhered it with foam tape. Then I stamped and heat-embossed the sentiment onto a strip of black cardstock, trimmed the edges and adhered it. Finally, I added matching jewels.

Hi everyone, Anja here with you today sharing a floral card. I love to add texture using embossing folders. This time, I stepped it up by dry embossing a Gel Plate printed background.

I started off with a white A2 card base. For my background, I applied Salvaged Patina and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink with a brayer to my Gelly Arts gel printing plate and put a piece of white heavyweight cardstock on top slightly rubbing across with my fingers. I really like the soft blending of these gorgeous colors. I ran it through my die-cutting machine with the Moroccan Circles embossing folder and added small white paint splatters.

Next, I stamped a couple of images from the Pink Peonies set in matching colors and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I adhered them with liquid glue as well as foam tape for a bit of dimension. The 'hello' sentiment (Beach Buddies) was stamped in VersaMark Ink onto a white cardstock strip and heat embossed in silver. Finally, I embellished my card with three Snow White Crystals around the floral cluster.
