Big Panda Card with Nicky

Happy Friday everyone it's Nicky with you today on the blog where I'm sharing a fun and super summery card featuring the Big Panda stamp set.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Big Panda Friendship Card by Nicky Meeks (featuringi Comic Strip Everyday Dies, Mini Grass Border Dies)

I ink blended a soft focal point on an A2 panel of white cardstock using Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Ink and glued this to my card base. I took another A2 panel of white cardstock and die cut using the Comic Strip Everyday Dies and created a simple frame by snipping out and discarding the 'window openings'. I backed this with dimensional foam tape. Before applying it to the background I also created some grass using the Mini Grass Border Dies and I ink blended the piece I created using Peacock Feathers and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide Inks. I then glue the grass to the background panel and then layered over the frame.

The Big Panda images were stamped with Memento Ink in Tuxedo Black and I coloured the images using the following Copic marker combinations:

Pandas - T7, T6, T5, T4, T3, C3, C1, C0, C00

Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00, R000

Pink Sunglasses R39, R29, R27, RV04, RV02, YR21, Y15, Y06

Pink Sunglasses Frame - FRV1

Blue Sunglasses - BG78, BG49, BG57, BG15, BG32, G00, G000

Blue Sunglasses Frame - FBG2

Cocktail (left) - E29, E27, E57, E23, E34, BG78, BG57, G00

Cocktail (right) - YR07, Y38, Y19, YR21, Y06, Y02, R39, R27

The images were die cut using the coordinating Big Panda Dies. I gave each panda a cocktail to hold using dimensional foam tape to secure it within their paws and I also used foam tape to put their sunglasses on. I then backed each one with more foam tape and tucked them behind the grassy border with their heads sweetly tilted together.

Time for the finishing touches! I added a flower to the ear of the Panda on the left. I die cut yellow cardstock using the sun image from the Comic Strip Everyday Dies and used Copic markers to add a little gradient colouring and I tucked it up under the frame and secured it with foam tape.

Last but not least I stamped the sentiments with pink ink. I fussy cut the 'hello' and added both words with foam tape and finished by highlighting a few points with a white gel pen and adding a few sparkling clear sequins for accents.

I hope you can squeeze some cardmaking into your weekend and I will be back with you again next Friday with something new to share.

Strawberry Patch Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here with you today! Happy 4th of July to those who celebrate! How about a refreshing strawberry lemonade to start celebrating this special day? Tempting, right? Let's see how I made this card, shall we? And then I will serve you a drink!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Strawberry Patch Die Focused Card by Marine Simon (featuring Stitched Rectangles Dies, Summer Jar Mug Dies, Crepe Paper Streamers Dies, Brilliant Banner Dies)

I started off by creating my strawberry lemonade using the Summer Jar Mug. And I built it the same way I did on my Rainbow Mermaid Kisses card and my Ladybug Fairies card. Here are the different steps:

1. Cut a jar frame out of holographic cardstock, cut a whole jar out of acetate, and stick the holographic frame on the acetate jar using liquid glue

2. Cut more jar frames out of white cardstock, and attach them on the acetate. The number of extra frames depends on the thickness of the shaker accessories. For my fake ice cubes, strawberry clay slices and confetti, I cut and attached eight extra jar frames

3. Cut a whole jar out of a pinkish pattern paper

4. Pour the shaker accessories on the acetate

5. Attach the pinkish jar to the jar frame to totally close the shaker

I cut a Strathmore bristol smooth panel using the largest Stitched Rectangle die, and colored it using oxide inks. I started off by creating a base using, from top to bottom, prize ribbon + salty ocean + tumbled glass oxide inks. Next I used a sunray stencil from my stash along with, from top to bottom, chipped sapphire + prize ribbon + salty ocean oxide inks to create a beautiful pattern on my panel. As always, I added texture to my background, starting with water droplets that I dried using a paper towel. I mixed some black soot oxide ink with water, and used a small brush to make more splatters on my panel, and then did the same with copic opaque white ink. And to bring an extra 4th of July touch, I used a starry stencil from my stash along with white paste to add white stars all over my panel.

Next I cut all the bits and pieces out of colored cardstock: the strawberries, paper streamers, stems, etc. So here is a detailed list of the products I used: • Strawberry Patch - strawberries, leaves, stems, flowers • Summer Jar Mug - parasol, ice cubes, lemon slice, straws • Crepe Paper Streamers. And I cut the parasol out of a Surprise Party red starry pattern paper.

I attached my strawberry lemonade on the panel first, using liquid glue, and then all the pieces using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, liquid glue and 3mm glue dots. I white heat embossed my "Wishing you a happy day" greeting from Panda Party on a light blue Brilliant Banner 1 that I attached below the mug using foam squares again, attached my panel to a larger white panel, and to a larger Very Merry red stripe panel using double sided tape.

I added highlights and details to the die-cut pieces using a white gel pen, glued a few iridescent mini star confetti on the background, and added a white blizzard nuvo drop in the center of each flower to make them shine. And that's it!

This was a very fun card to make, I hope that you like it. Now, who wants a drink? Thanks so much for stopping by, and see you next time.

Sliding Window Die Focused Card with Tina

Hello crafters, I am Tina and for today’s card we are making a fun interactive balloon scene! Using the Sliding Window dies makes it really easy to create this sweet project!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Sliding Window Die Focused Card by Tina Henkens (featuring Balloon Rides)

This type of card works well with larger images and after browsing through my stash I found this adorable balloon with it’s cute bunny passenger (Balloon Rides).

I cut two panels of white card stock with a stitched rectangle die (4 x 5,25 inches) and one smaller piece measuring 3,25 x 4,75 inches. I lined up these 3 panels onto a large sticky mat and used a cloud stencil from my stash with Distress Oxides Tumbled Glass and Wilted Violet.

While these pieces were drying I stamped the balloon, the cute bunny, the sun and some clouds from Balloon Rides and colored them with my Copic markers. I went for cool colors that would match my cloud backdrop. The sentiment is from the same set and was stamped onto a small white strip with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Then it was time to work on the interactive mechanism, I took one of the large cloud panels and placed the Sliding Window dies in the middle, I also used the notch die from this set at the top. After reenforcing the scorelines with a bonefolder, I added a thin strip of double- sided tape on the bottom tab of the slider so I could adhere my smaller panel to it.

Next, I stamped a little arrow in the ‘notch area’ of this smaller panel so the recipient knows how to ‘open’ the card mechanism! I adhered the second large cloud panel to a white card base and decided where I needed to glue the clouds on this ‘inside’ piece. I mounted both large cloud panels together with foam tape along the edges, that way the sliding mechanism has enough room to glide.

I cut another balloon shape from white card stock and glued it to the back of the colored one before adhering it to the bottom part of the folding panel. This will give more stability and a clean look.

Lastly, I placed the sun and clouds on to the scene and added the sentiment strip to the front piece. A few Crystal Clear Jewels were scattered around the balloon and clouds. I had a lot of fun creating this interactive card and I hope to see your creations soon!

Thank you for visiting the blog and happy crafting!

Limitless Labels Die Focused Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha back here with a rainbow theme card featuring the Limitless Labels 1 dies. This card was fun to create and I am happy with the result :)

Sunny Studio Stamps: Limitless Labels Die Focused Card by Isha Gupta (featuring Cherry Blossoms, Spring Greenery Dies)

I didn't snip the dies and used them to cut all the frames. Once the frames were die-cut, I sponged distress inks (wilted violet, picked raspberry, tumbled glass, salvaged patina, mustard seed, ripe persimmon) in rainbow order. Splatter some white paint.

Next, I stamped the images from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set using watermark ink onto vellum, sprinkle white opaque embossing powder by WOW! and heat set. Die-cut the images using the coordinating dies. Die-cut the leaves using the Spring Greenery dies from white cardstock. Adhere the images to the layered labels. Adhere the labels to a white card using 3d foam.

Stamp the sentiment from the Punny Fruit Greetings onto black card, sprinkle white embossing powder and heat set. Cut a stripe of it and adhere to the card.

Have a nice day and thank you for dropping by!

Mermaid Kisses Card with Leanne

Hello crafty friends! Leanne here and today I'm sharing a card featuring a sweet little scene I've created with the Mermaid Kisses stamp set

Sunny Studio Stamps: Mermaid Kisses Card by Leanne West (featuring Frilly Frame Dies, Stitched Semi-Circle Dies)

This card is A2 size. I started by creating the inky scallop edged panel. The outer die from the Frilly Frames Hexagon creates a scalloped panel with faux stitches. I did a little ink smooshing to color the panel. I used a mix of Salvaged Patina, Cracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks. I also generously splattered the panel with metallic watercolor. I then used a Stitched Semi-Circle die to cut out the window.

In the window area, I created an underwater scene with the images from Mermaid Kisses. I Copic colored them with the following colors: BG10, BG11, BG13, YR12, YR16, YR24, B60, B63, B66, G00, G02, G03, E02, E11, E21. After adhered the Copic colored images in place, I stamped the sentiment and tiny bubbles to fill in the scene.
