Truckloads of Love Card with Marine

Hello crafty friends, Marine here, today I'm taking you to the countryside to go apple picking with the cutest mice. As you can see, they've been busy, and as very often I went through my entire Sunny Studio collection to pick the perfect images to build my scene.

I first started by stamping all the images on Transotype perfect coloring paper using an alcohol marker friendly black ink, I cut them all using the matching dies, and colored everything using my Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. And I always like to pick a color palette for each card I make, this time I went for a green + orange + yellow + red combo. Here is a detailed list of the sets I used:

• Truckloads Of Love: truck, small apples, crates

• Harvest Mice: big mice, sweaters, cart

• Merry Mice: small mice, scarves\

• Christmas Critters: mouse (in the truck)

• Seasonal Trees: trees, birdhouses, bird

• Fall Friends: big apples

• Garden Critters: grass

Next I worked on the background, and created a simple stenciled landscape on an 8,5 x 3,5 inches Strathmore bristol smooth panel. On the lower part I did two grass borders using shabby shutters and mowed lawn oxide inks, and on the upper part I did a cloudy sky using tumbled glass and broken china oxide inks.

I stamped my "Friends like you are such a blessing" greeting from Fall Friends in black in the top middle part of the panel, attached all the images using 1mm and 2mm foam squares, and as always I finished my card by adding highlights and details to the images using a white gel pen.

Dotted Diamond Background Die Focused Card with Gladys

Hello crafty friends! Gladys here and I'm excited to be back on the blog. For my card today I'm sharing a cute snow globe shaker. If you would like to learn how to use your dies in a different way, then keep on reading.

I wanted to use some left-over colored images from another project using Penguin Party set. I stamped them using alcohol friendly ink, colored with Copic markers then cut using their coordinating dies. I also used a tree from the Seasonal Trees stamp set.  

To create the snow globe, I cut a piece of white cardstock slightly smaller than an A2 size panel. I used the second largest die from the Stitched Semi-Circle to create the window. For the base, I used the rectangle piece with score lines from the Woolen Mitten cut from dark brown cardstock. I inked the edges with vintage photo to add some depth. For more interest on the panel, I used the Dotted Diamonds Landscape die which create a gorgeous stitching all over.

For the shaker, I first inked a piece of Bristol smooth paper to create the background. I used milled lavender, dusty concord and blueprint sketch distress oxide inks. I adhered acetate and double-sided foam tape behind the white panel. I placed some images and a snow hill behind the acetate then it was time to add all the pretty sequins and glitter. I mounted the inked panel to secure the shaker elements and glued the entire panel on a top folding card base.

To finish the scene on the front I adhered the rest of the colored images, base for the snow globe and snow hill inked with peacock feathers. For the sentiment I white heat embossed on black cardstock and trimmed to fit on the base of the snow globe. To add details, I used a white gel pen for highlights on some of the images and flat back pearls on the penguin's hat. To complete my card, I added a scalloped frame using the Fancy Frames Rectangle dies.

Turkey Day Card with Isha

Hello everyone! Isha here with a fall theme card featuring the adorable Turkey Day stamps and coordinating dies. These images are so cute and fun, which calls for a happy feel of the card. 

I started by sponging wilted violet, kitsch flamingo and scattered straw distress oxide inks to a white panel. I then used the Cable Knit embossing folder for some texture. Flick white paint and water splatters. Adhere this panel to a white card base.

Die-cut a white piece using the Mini Mat and Tag 3 dies. Adhere to the card using 3d foam. Stamp the images from the Turkey Day stamps and use coordinating dies to die-cut them. Stamp some images from the Fall Friends stamps, die-cut using coordinating dies. Color the images and adhere to the card. Flick gold paint to the card.

Brilliant Banner Die Focused Card with Bobbi

Hello Sunny friends. It’s Bobbi sharing an 5″ X 7″ card featuring the new Brilliant Banner dies. Sunny Studio Stamps just released two shapes of banner dies and they come as #1 and #2. I am using the Brilliant Banner 2 die on my greeting today. I think these banners add elegance to a card. You can curve any appropriately-sized, straight, clear sentiment stamp on an acrylic block to fit the banner shape for maximum versatility and usage.

To make this card, I created the banner using three different green shades of cardstock. If you are missing a color, you can easily use a marker to color the piece to fit your shade scheme. I didn’t have the darkest green color so I colored that in with a Copic YG99 marker. I curved my "autumn blessings" sentiment (using our Turkey Day stamps) on an acrylic block to fit the banner curve and stamped the phrase in black. I attached the elements of the banner together, added white stitching to the banner’s edges using my white Gelly Roll pen. I added foam dots to the back and set it aside while I worked on the foliage.

For the foliage, I used the Winter Greenery die set. I love this set because all of the leaves are so beautiful for not only the winter season, but the fall season, too! There are berry dies in the set as well. I colored them using Copic Markers,  YR27 and R14 to make the red berries and E49 and E57 for the brown ones. Some of the berries were cut from green cardstock, making them a little darker. Small dots of white and black were added to the leaves to make them look imperfect. I also used YG99 to color the stems of the gold foliage.

 

For the background, I used the Stitched Arch Die (largest arch in the set) cut from a scrap of watercolor paper I had on hand. To make the frame, I attached the inverse of the arch die cut to a 4-1/2″ wide X 6-1/2″ tall warm gray cardstock using foam tabs and splattered the two with black watercolor paint. I love how this die included stitching on both the inverse and arch. Do you see the stitched detailing on my frame? I love it! I attached the foliage and the banner to the inside of the arch to frame it and attached the entire ensemble to a white card base to complete the card. I love how this card turned out and I hope it inspires you to try something similar, too!

Truckloads of Love Holiday Card with Tammy

Hi there! Tammy here, sharing a card featuring the adorable set, Truckloads of Love. I love how versatile this set is, allowing you to create for all seasons! I chose to create a Christmas-themed card since they are my favorite to make!

To begin, I stamped the images from Truckloads of Love, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Truckloads of Love Dies. Next, I cut a piece of Bristol smooth cardstock to an A2 size and ink-blended it with Broken China and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide inks. I then splattered some white acrylic paint, thinned with water, onto the background to create a snowy feel. I then white heat embossed the "Season's Greetings" sentiment from the Festive Greetings Stamps.

Next, I die-cut some snowy hills using the Slimline Nature Borders Dies, cutting them to size, inking the tops with Tumbled Glass ink, and attaching them to the bottom of my card. I die-cut some trees from white cardstock using the Rustic Winter Dies, tucking them under the snowy borders. I added a white scalloped frame die cut using the Fancy Frames Rectangle Dies, attaching it with foam tape for dimension. I then white heat embossed the sentiment from Truckloads of Love onto a dark gray sentiment strip and added some white Lacy Snowflakes to complete my card.
