Fintastic Friends Cards with Vanessa and Audrey

Hello to you! Vanessa here with a cute critters card using the Fintastic Friends set.

I started with a panel of white cardstock and stamped the images from top to bottom, always masking the previously stamped image before stamping the next. Now I inked my background, first the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and, after masking the upper half with a torn piece of paper, I inked the sea using Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire with a water stencil.

After I had removed the masks, I colored everything with Copic Markers. I die-cut the letters, colored them with Copics, spelled "Sea" and stamped the rest of the sentiment onto the panel before adhering the piece to the card base.

Hello friends! Audrey here with a card using one of my favorite sets of the summer release, Fintastic Friends! 

To create this card, I ink blended on a piece of white cardstock using Salvaged Patina Distress Ink in a circular motion. Then I splattered on some clean water, and some more Salvaged Patina. I stamped and colored several images from Fintastic Friends, then diecut them with the coordinating Fintastic Friends dies. I arranged the little scene, and popped everything up with foam tape. Around the adorable critters, I stamped several of the bubble images from the set. 

Then, I added a strip of patterned paper from the Dots & Stripes Jewel Tones 6x6 paper pad to the left edge of the panel. I stamped a sentiment from the set onto a banner diecut, and popped that up at the bottom of the panel. To finish off the card, I added some white gel pen accents, and a scattering of bubble embellishments.

Baby Elephants Cards with Marine and Marieke

Hello crafty friends, Marine here! I'm back today with another baby card, super sweet and precious, showcasing Baby Elephants.

I started off with the background. I cut a 5,5 x 4,25 inches bristol panel and picked three different oxide inks to create the base of my sky: peacock feathers at the bottom, blueprint sketch in the middle and wilted violet at the top. Next I wanted to add clouds to this background, but before creating them, I set the panel aside to dry and let the inks really soak into the paper.

So while the paper was drying, I stamped some cute elephants and stars from Baby Elephants, a butterfly nest from Spring Showers, and clouds from Balloon Rides. As always I used the coordinating dies to cut them all, and used my alcohol markers to color everything.

Next I worked on my background panel again, and created clouds using a cloud stencil along with white pigment ink. On the bottom left corner of the panel, I white heat embossed my sentiment "Welcome baby girl", and then I attached my images using foam squares, glue dots and liquid glue.

Once all the images were attached, I added some final details: highlights using my white gel pen, I also added a bow from Passionate Penguins on each elephant's head, and finally applied a coat of glossy accents on the star balloon to make it super shiny.

And that's it, we have a sweet card to celebrate the birth of a baby girl, and you can celebrate the birth of a baby boy as well because the word "boy" is also included in the Baby Elephants stamp set. Hello Sunny Studio Friends, Marieke here to share a cute Baby Elephants card with you. 

For today's post I first cut a rectangle and ink blended some Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Rustic Wilderness onto it. Splattered some water and Rustic Wilderness mixed with water and adhered it onto a white base card.

Stamped the images out of the Baby Elephants, Fabulous Flamingo, Tropical Scenes and Snail Mail stamp sets. Colored them up using my Copic markers. Die cut them using the matching dies or cut them using my scissors. Cut a strip of kraft cardstock and ink blended some Walnut Stain onto it.

Used Copic Colors:
Elephants - C5, C3, C1, C0, C00 / R20, R00, R000, R0000 / W5, W3, W1
Light green - YG67, YG63, YG03
Dark Green - G28, G09, G07
Flowers - R85, R81
Hearts - R59, R29, R24
Brown - E47, E44, E43

Heat set the sentiment out of the Snail Mail stamp on some kraft cardstock. Trimmed it down to a small banner and dry embossed it using the Woodgrain Embossing folder. Adhered some twine behind it and adhered it to the card. Glued all the other elements onto the card and finished the card by adding some glossy accent to the hearts.

Summer Greenery Die Focused Cards with Gladys and Alma

Hello everyone! Gladys here and I'm back with an adorable mini slimline card using new dies from the release called Summer Greenery which I combined with an oldie but goodie stamp set called Silly Sloth.

To start I used two of the leaves from the Summer Greenery dies to cut from green cardstock. I inked the center with lucky clover distress oxide to add dimension. I also added white speckles with a fan brush. For the card panel I used a mini slimline die measuring 6 3/4" x 3 1/4" which is cut from Bristol Smooth cardstock. I used cracked pistachio and peacock feathers, starting from the center then out toward the edge of the panel. For more interest, I used a fan brush to add water droplets and diluted white paint. Once it was dry I used the Wonky Window dies to cut the panel. 

Next I stamped the Silly Sloths on 110lb cardstock and colored them with copic markers. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. Every now and then I love to combine old sets with new to give them some love. I know for me I’m tempted to get the new release and sometimes I forget the sets I already own. Lately I have been looking through my stash and enjoy playing with sets I haven't used in awhile. I hope this card will inspire you to do that too!

Once all the elements was ready, it was time to assemble the card. Since I had the three Wonky Windows I decided it would be fun to create a shaker element. First I cut another panel from brown cardstock. I purposely wanted a slightly bigger panel to give an even border. I inlaid the negative pieces from the windows onto the brown cardstock. I filled each of the windows with sequins then I backed the inked panel with clear acetate and double sided foam tape. I carefully lined up the windows and adhered both panels together.  I arranged the greenery and critters and used liquid glue to adhere them down. For the sentiment I white heat embossed on red cardstock for a pop of color! Aren't these sloths just the sweetest?

Here is Alma and today I want to show you a swing card. The spotlight of my card is on the new Summer Greenery Dies set and I'm amazed at how versatile it can be used.

First I cut out a circle in kraft paper and folded it in half. So you already have the card blank ready. Then I punched out the leaves from the Summer Greenery Dies and spread them on the folded circle. Afterwards I wiped the “sand” of the circle with Distress Inks “Vintage Foto”, “Walnut Stain” and “Tea Dye”. I removed the leaves that have been put on and the leaves look like tracks in the sand.

Then I punched out the  leaves on cardstock and colored them in several shades of green with Copics. I glued the leaves to the upper edge of the swing card to create a 3D effect.

To finish, I stamped, colored and mounted the flamingos from the Tropical Paradise Stamps set onto the card and stamped the text "soak up the sun" from the same set.
