Inside Greetings Congrats Cards with Marieke and Marine

Hello Sunny Studio Friends. Marieke here, and for today's post I made two of the same cards only then slightly different. For both cards the process is the same except for the different colors and sentiments I used.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Inside Greetings Congrats Card by Marieke Slaats (featuring Frilly Frame Eyelet Lace Dies, Baby Elephants)

Die cut the outer die from the Frilly Frames Eyelet Lace four times out of white cardstock and twice out of pattern paper. Scored two of the white die cut panels where the first scallop goes into the second and adhered the other white panel onto it above the score line so it becomes a top fold card base. Adhered the pattern paper on the front of the card.

Cut two white rectangles 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 inch and two white rectangles 3 x 4 1/4 inch. Ink Blended some clouds on the smallest rectangles and adhered them together. Stamped the sentiments from the Inside Greetings Congrats directly onto the card and added the panel to the card bases using foam tape.

Used Copic Colors:
Bright Yellow - Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11
Soft Yellow - Y04, Y02, Y00, Y000
Elephant - C5, C3, C1, C0, C00, 0 / W5, W3 / R20, R00, R000, R0000

Stamped the images out of the Baby Elephant stamp, colored them up using my Copic markers and die cut them using the Baby Elephant Dies. Adhered them onto the card using foam tape.

--------------------------------------------

Hi crafty friends, Marine here, super happy to be back on the blog with more Summer Release inspiration! Today I'm showcasing the Inside Greetings Congrats stamp set on my card, I picked two sentiments from that set and created a sweet and fun underwater baby card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Inside Greetings Congrats Card by Marine Simon (featuring Botanical Backdrop Dies, Fintastic Friends, Sea You Soon)

The first thing I did was to stamp my cute shark family using an alcohol marker friendly black ink. The shark on the left is from Fintastic Friends, the one on the right and the baby are from Sea You Soon. I cut them using the coordinating dies and colored them using my alcohol markers. And to fit the blue background I had in mind, I picked blue grey shades to color the sharks.

Next I cut a 5,5 x 4,25" bristol panel and used salvaged patina, peacock feathers and blueprint sketch oxide inks to create my underwater background.

I cut the Botanical Backdrop out of navy cardstock to create underwater foliage, and white heat embossed my two sentiments from Inside Greetings Congrats on my panel: one in the top left corner and one in the bottom right corner. I stuck the foliage frame on the panel, added highlights on the leaves using a white gel pen, and then attached the shark family in the middle of the card using foam squares.

I added more highlights on the images, and finally I added a few clear droplets here and there to match the underwater theme and also fill up the empty spaces. And that's it! Love those sharks with their happy faces, and this small fish isn't supposed to be a shark but he definitely looks like their baby, right?

I hope you like this sweet and cute underwater baby card. Feel welcome to check the process video for more details (click on the image above!). Thanks for stopping by, and see you next week!

Tropical Trees Backdrop Die Focused Cards with Alma and Gladys

Hello, my dears, here is Alma and today it´s my turn to show you a card and I want to fly with you to the Caribbean. Therefore I created a romantic scene.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tropical Tree Backdrop Die Focused Card by Alma Maier (featuring Turtley Awesome, Tiki Time)

I stamped the images of the sets Tiki Time Stamps and Turtley Awesome Stamps, colored them with Copics and cut them out.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tropical Tree Backdrop Die Focused Card by Alma Maier (featuring Turtley Awesome, Tiki Time)

After coloring I die cut the palm trees and the frame of the new set Tropical Trees Backdrop Die. Therefore I used black cardstock, so that the palm trees looks like a silhouette. The beach and background are ink blended with distress inks.

At the end I glued all together and placed the turtles in front of the Tiki bar. What a romantic starry night!

------------------------------------------

Hello there! This is Gladys with a cute card using the awesome Tropical Trees Backdrop dies. If you love to create summer theme cards, this standalone die is a must. Just check out all the projects Mendi created with it, they are soo amazing!! I love the beautiful sunset and how she used the stitched rectangle to frame her scene. I really love the versatility!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Tropical Tree Backdrop Die Focused Card by Gladys Marcelino (featuring Sealiously Sweet)

For my card I started by using the Tropical Trees Backdrop dies to cut from Bristol smooth cardstock. I masked off the top of the largest piece and ink blended the ocean. I used salvaged patina, peacock feathers and mermaid lagoon. For the sky I used shaded lilac and wilted violet. For the sand I used tea dye and vintage photo. To add interest, I used a fan brush to add water droplets. Then I colored the palm trees using copic markers.

Next I stamped the adorable images from an older stamp set called Sealiously Sweet and I colored them with copic markers. I used their coordinating dies to cut them out.

To assemble the card, first I glued the rectangle frame onto an A2 card base. Then I inlaid all the diecuts in place, they fit perfectly just like a puzzle. So easy! I adhered the images with double sided foam tape to give dimension. Finally I stamped the sentiment in the top center of the panel.

Thanks so much for joining me!! Big hugs and have a wonderful day!!

Lovely Lilacs Cards with Kavya and Isha

Hi folks! Kavya here back on the blog with another fun project using the new summer release. It’s been a while since I made a floral card. I like coloring them but sometimes I am just not in the mood to spend time making them realistic. Thank god for layering stamps! The new Lovely Lilacs is just so gorgeous and it took me just minutes to make something so real!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Lovely Lilacs Congratulations Card by Kavya (featuring Slimline Nature Border Dies, Inside Greetings Congrats)

I first started off by creating a gorgeous summer sunset by ink blending Seedless Preserve,  Picked Raspberry and Dried Magnolia distress oxide inks. I used a generic cloud stencil for the clouds but you can also create your own using a cloud die cut from the Slimline Nature Borders dies. As usual, I splattered some water and white paint.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Lovely Lilacs Congratulations Card by Kavya (featuring Slimline Nature Border Dies, Inside Greetings Congrats)

Then, I die cut and stamped a bunch of lilacs using Lovely Lilacs stamp set and finished off my card by stamping a sentiment from Inside Greetings Congrats stamp set.

That’s it! I hope you liked this project :) Happy Crafting!

-----------------------------------------------

Hello everyone! Isha here with a pretty floral card using the GORGEOUS layering stamp "Lovely Lilacs" from the new release. The layering stamping gives such a realistic look that I could almost smell the fragrance.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Lovely Lilacs Congratulations Card by Isha Gupta

To start, I took a watercolor mat layer. I added distress inks to my stamp block, spritz it with water and put it onto the paper. Remove the block and I am left with a pretty base for my florals. Next stamp the flowers and leaves using Altenew crisp dye inks.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Lovely Lilacs Congratulations Card by Isha Gupta

Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Flick some splatters in the same color of distress inks. Stamp the sentiment. Adhere the layer to a white cardbase.

Thank you for dropping by! Have a nice day.

Wonky Windows Cards with Bobbi and Catherine

Hi there. It's Bobbi Lemanski here sharing another card featuring the new Wonky Windows die set. This set will quickly be one of my staples because not only do you get these fun-shaped windows, but also three uniquely shaped pennants to dress up your cards. Today, I paired the cute windows with that yummy Cupcake Shaped Die set we all love. On the outside, this card teases a little with some treat tidbits. When the card is opened, a big cupcake with all the fixings is waiting for the birthday celebration!

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Card by Bobbi Lemanski (featuring Cupcake Shaped Dies, Inside Greetings Congrats)

To make this 5" X 7" card, I cut the card base at 10" wide X 7" tall and scored down the center.  I also cut the front panel measuring 5" X 7".  I used Neenah 80lb Solar White cardstock for all the pieces. I die cut two rows of the wonky windows on a diagonal for interest. The Wonky Windows die cuts all three windows at once which makes it easy to use.

For the front panel, I splattered black watercolor paint and added some red specks using a marker. I used a fine-tip black marker and added faux double stitching around each window. I added grey tones Subtle Grey Tones pattern paper to the back of the windows and attached it in place. Next, I added lots of fun bits from the Cupcake Shape Dies set. Two cherries, two candles, two hearts, small confetti, and the pennants from the Wonky Windows set were added to the windows. I used Ranger Distress Oxide Inks in Mermaid Lagoon, Carved Pumpkin, and Worn Lipstick to color the banners, pennants, and hearts. I list the Copic colors I used for the other colored elements below. I added Red Zircon JewelsBlue Topaz JewelsOrange Topaz Jewels and some enamel gem stickers to the windows. I stamped the phrase in the lower right corner.

Inside the card, I added the elements of the Cupcake Shape Dies and colored them using the following Copics. These are the same colors I used on the front panel.

  • Blue/Greens: B49, B23, BG11
  • Reds: R46, R29, R24, R17, R14, R22, R20
  • Browns: E59, E57, E55
  • Yellows: Y38, Y19, Y15, Y13
  • Oranges: YR68, YR65, YR61, YR04
  • Greens: YG67, YG03 (front panel cherry stems)

Notice that I cut the candles and the white heart at slants at the bottom edges to make them look like they are inserted into the frosting. I used a white gel pen and red marker to add some frosting texture. I added fun details like the cute pennants from the
Wonky Windows set to the cupcake. I used a fine-tip black marker to "connect" the pennants around the cake. I used the Kiddie Pool stamp set for the
"It's your birthday/Day" phrasesLastly, I stamped the phrase, "you deserve this", taken from the Inside Greetings Congrats stamp set, at the bottom to finish the card. This card fits inside an A7 size envelope for giving.

Hi Friends! It’s Catherine here sharing a fun underwater card featuring the new Wonky Windows Die

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Fintastic Friends, Kiddie Pool, Tropical Scenes)

For the foreground, I die cut the Wonky Windows Frame onto white cardstock 4.25” x 5.5”.  I ink blended the cardstock from the outside working my way towards the center of the card starting with Blueprint Sketch followed by Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I then sprayed water onto the card and left it to dry.

For the background, I ink blended the top half of another piece of white cardstock of the same size with Chipped Sapphire and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Inks and I sprayed water onto the card. Once the foreground was dry, I white heat embossed the sentiment and air bubbles onto the card.

Sunny Studio Stamps: Wonky Window Die Focused Card by Catherine Cohen (featuring Fintastic Friends, Kiddie Pool, Tropical Scenes)

I stamped images pulled from the Fintastic Friends, Tropical Scenes, and Kiddie Pool sets. I colored the sea animals, divers, sea plants, and coral bed with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I marked the framed area on the background and glued on the sea plants. I then attached the frame onto the background with foam tape. I finished off the card by adding the cute sea animals, divers, and coral bed.
