Happy Howl-o-ween Card with Alma

Happy Halloween, or better yet: Happy Howl-o-ween! Alma here with you, and today, I want to show you a steaming and bubbling card featuring the super cute Happy Howl-o-ween Stamps set.

At the center of my card, I've used the Wood Barrel Die to create a bubbling cauldron, where the sweet dogs from the Happy Howl-o-ween Stamps set are brewing up a spooky soup.

Have you heard about the amazing Mini Shape Dies from Sunny Studio Stamps? They are so versatile and can be used for all kinds of cards. For example, I used the Mini Shape Dies 3 and Mini Shape Dies 4 to cut out the stars, bubbles, and water droplets that fill my cauldron. I colored both the images and the die cuts with Copics, and added shading with pencils. The stars were cut out of glitter paper.

For the base of my card, I used black cardstock and layered it on top of green cardstock. I placed the cauldron in front of some white steam, which I created by blending with a white ink pad. After that, I assembled everything and added white highlights. The sentiment is also from the Happy Howl-o-ween Stamps set.

Inside Greetings Seasons Card with Leanne

Hello! Leanne here and I have another holiday card to share. When I made last week's card with the Roly Poly Penguins, I stamped and colored extra penguins. I decided to incorporate them into this card design. I added one to the front and one to the inside of the card. 

Here are all the Sunny Studio products I used to create this card with a short description of what they were used for:

This card is A2 size. I covered the card front with the pattern paper. The polka dot covers the top two thirds and the gingham cover the bottom one third. I added the poinsettias over the seam which leaves plenty of room for the large Merry Christmas above. 

I Copic colored the penguins with the following: black - N2, N4, N6; shading on white areas - N0, N2; red - R22, R24; pink - R30, R22; orange - YR12, YR16; rosy cheeks - R00, R30

I die cut the poinsettias and leaves from white card stock. I used Catherine Pooler Eucalyptus ink to color the leaves. I used Rockin Red and Do-Si-Do to color the poinsettia petals. I layered the two shades of red to make the flowers look fuller. The Merry Christmas and inside sentiment were stamped with the Eucalyptus ink.

Toasty Hugs Card with Hanh

Hello Crafty Friends! This is Hanh. I am on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a sweet winter card featuring the Toasty Hugs set. These cuties are all bundled up to build a snowman and to send out some toasty hugs.

I stamped the images from the Toasty Hugs Stamps and Snowmen in Sweaters Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Toasty Hugs Dies and Snowmen in Sweaters Dies to die cut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

For the background, I took a piece of pale pink cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and die cut it with the Dotted Diamond Portrait Die. To add to the wintery vibes, I die cut and adhered a few snowflakes using the current "Free Mini Die with every order while supplies last" and the snowflake from the Woolen Mitten DIe Set. I also die cut some holly leaves and berries from the same die set out of green and red cardstock.

I used the larger die from the Scallop Tag Square Dies and smallest die from the Scallop Square 1 Small Dies to die cut the tag and square for the sentiment out of the Neenah Solar White cardstock. I masked off the scalloped edges of the tag die and lightly inked the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. I adhered all of the colored images and holly to the tag with a combo of liquid adhesive and foam tape for a bit of dimension. I used a white gel pen to add snow to the sky and highlights to the elements.

For the sentiment, I stamped the "sending" from Holiday Hugs Stamps and "toasty hugs" from Toasty Hugs stamps onto the scallop square with Versafine Onyx Black ink. The pink panel was adhered to a top folding white card base (4.25" x 5.5"). I adhered the tag and sentiment square onto the card front with foam tape.

Guest Designer Spotlight: Happy Howl-o-ween Card & Tags with Tammy Stark

Hello friends, Tammy Stark here! I'm so excited to be guest designing for Sunny Studio for the newest release! I especially love creating for Halloween, so I was really excited to play with the adorable new set, Happy Howl-o-ween! For my project, I created a fun slimline card so I could get as many of the darling pups as possible!

To begin, I stamped the images from the Happy Howl-o-ween stamp set, colored with Copic markers, and die cut with the Happy Howl-o-ween Dies. Next, I cut a panel of Bristol smooth cardstock to 3 X 8" and masked off the bottom of the panel with washi tape. I used a circle die from the Stitched Circle Large Die to create a mask. I placed the circle mask onto the panel and inked the background with Milled Lavender, Villainous Potion, and Black Soot Distress inks. I splattered the background with some Villainous Potion ink, then added some white paint splatters. I removed the circle mask and lightly washed it with gray ink to give the mood a little spooky glow. The bottom of the card was inked with brown inks to create a ground for the pups.

Next, I arranged the adorable images onto my card to create a fun scene, and attached them with foam tape for dimension. The sentiment was white embossed onto a black sentiment strip and also attached with foam tape. Lastly, I attached the panel to a white cardstock mat, measuring 3 1/4 X 8 1/4", then onto a black 3 1/2 X 8 1/2" card base to finish up my card.

I also created a fun set of coordinating Halloween tags, using Happy Howl-o-ween. I started by stamping some images from the Happy Howl-o-ween stamp set, coloring with Copic markers, and die cutting with the Happy Howl-o-ween Dies.

To make the tags, I cut 3 white tags using the Scalloped Tag Circle Dies. Next, I cut 3 circles from Bristol smooth cardstock using the Stitched Circle Large Die. Just as the card, I masked off the bottom of the tag and ink blended the top with Milled Lavender, Villainous Potion, and Black Soot Distress inks, also splattering up the background. The bottom was ink blended with brown inks, then attached to the scalloped tags. The colored images were attached to the tags, using foam tape on some for dimension. I white embossed the sentiments onto black cardstock strips, cutting them apart and attaching to the tags with foam tape, then added some black and white bakers twine to finish up my set of tags.

Striped Stencils Focused Card with Nicky

Happy Friday everyone this is Nicky with you today on Sunny Studio Stamps blog and I have a frosty Christmas card to share with you, incorporating our Striped Stencils, so please read on for all the details.

To create this card I took an A2 white panel of cardstock and I used the diagonal striped stencil from the Striped Stencils set and used glitter embossing paste to create the dazzling stripes. I set this to one side to dry.

I then used the Stitched Oval 2 Die to create two ovals. One was cut from vellum and the other from white cardstock. I stamped a little background image to the cardstock oval using the Scenic Route stamp set. I added a hint of pink ink blending to it and used Copic markers to add a little colour to the fir trees. I then glued this panel to the larger vellum panel and then secured this to the glittered background. This whole panel was then adhered to a slightly larger red panel and then to a slightly larger white card base.

I stamped the Snowmen in Sweaters and coloured with the following Copic markers:

Snowmen (white parts) - C3, C1, C0
Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00
Blue - B99, B97, B45
Red - R59, R39, R27, R24
Brown - E47, E44, E43

I die cut the images using the coordinating Snowmen in Sweaters Die and then used foam tape to apply them to the little background scene.

To complete the card, I stamped the sentiments from Happy Thoughts and applied them with more foam tape and I used some of Sunny's little snowflake dies to embellish the card. Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and then this chilly scene was complete!
