Retro Ornaments Cards with Ana and Christy

Hi crafties and welcome back! It’s Ana with a rustic Christmas card showcasing Retro Ornaments stamps and coordinating dies. I really wanted to create a vintage Christmas card using these gorgeous ornaments so I opted for rustic/vintage colors and design.

I started with stamping the ornaments in pink and blue colors, specifically choosing lighter shades so they would really stand out on the dark, woodgrain background. Once I was done stamping, I cut them with coordinating dies.

On a piece of woodgrain paper, I white heat embossed hanging strings and the sentiment, then added white splatter to mimic snowfall. I adhered the ornaments directly to the background then added a stitched scalloped frame (Fancy Frames Rectangles dies) which I backed with foam tape.

Hello friends, it's Christy here with a holiday card using Retro Ornaments. I started by stamping three of the ornaments' first layer in red, hot pink, and turquoise inks. Then I stamped the second layer in Versamark ink and coated them with Silver Pearl embossing powder. I added the tops using Liquid Platinum embossing powder and trimmed them out with the matching dies.

Then on a separate sheet of white cardstock, I stamped the fir branches from Classy Christmas in two shades of green, and heat embossed a few more with the Silver Pearl powder. I stamped the ornament strings in the Versamark as well, along with a sentiment from Inside Greetings - Holiday and heat embossed with the Liquid Platinum. This card has so much shine when you tip it in the light!

I trimmed down the right side of the panel with one of the Slimline Basic Borders and adhered it to a red card base. Then I popped up the ornaments with some foam tape.

Penguin Pals Cards with Leanne and Isha

Hello friends, Leanne here! Today's card is a throw back to a card I made last year. It was and still is one of my favorite card designs. I used Merry Mice on last year's card (see the blog post here). For this new card I have used Penguin Pals. They are very similar in shape to the mice and work perfectly for this design.

I started with a slimline card base that measures 8.5 inches tall by 3.5 inches wide. I die cut the kraft panel using a stitched rectangle die from the Slimline Scalloped Frame set. I die cut two circle Scalloped Tags and one square Scalloped Tags from white card stock. I masked off the scalloped edges and then added color to the tag centers with a blending brush and Festive Berries Oxide ink. Next I added my Copic colored Penguins to the tags. (Copics used: N2, N4, N6, R00, YR12, YR18, G000, G00, G02, R32, R35, R39, E41, E43)

I arranged the tags on the kraft panel while leaving room to stamp the greeting above and below the center tag. This punny greeting is included in Penguin Pals. I added little twine bows to each tag. To finish off this card design, I added the die cut holly leaves and berries. The little holly and berry dies are from an older holiday set but one of my all time favs called Warm & Cozy.

Hello everyone! Isha here today with a cute card featuring the adorable Penguin Pals stamp set for you. 

To start the sky background, I took a white card and sponged distress inks in cracked pistachio, peacock feathers, salty ocean and chipped sapphire. I then flicked some white paint to it and let it dry. I stamped the beautiful town scene from the Winter Scenes stamp set, colored it using copic markers. I then added some white dots using a white gel pen and die-cut the panel using the coordinating die.

I then die-cut two snow slopes using the Slimline Nature Borders die. I colored the snow using copic markers. Stamp the sentiment onto the lowest panel from the Inside Greeting - Holiday stamp set. I really love this set as it has beautiful sentiments for the inside of the cards as well. 

Stamp the cute and adorable penguins, color and die-cut them using the coordinating dies. I then applied some clear ink using the WOW! embossing pen to the cap, sprinkle WOW! white puff powder and heat set it. This gives a beautiful fur texture. Adhere all the layers to a white card base. This is a slightly bigger card than the normal card. It measures 4.5 by 6.5 inches.

Finally, I applied the WOW! embossing pen to the scene to give a touch of snow texture, sprinkle puff powder and heat set it. Lastly, I applied a touch of Nuvo crystal drops for some sparkle.

Window Quad Die Focused Cards with Ashley and Mayra

Hello friends! It's Ashley today with a super cute set of mini tags I made using the tag dies in the Window Quad Square set. I've actually never made tags before, but I had so much fun piecing these ones together! I may never go back to those packs of stick-on gift tags!

I started by using the tag and tag pieces from the Window Quad Square set to cut several pieces of different patterned papers from the Holiday Cheer and Very Merry paper packs. I used liquid glue to piece them together so I had some wiggle time to get the papers lined up just right.

I decided to do four different images and leave the matching papers as the element that ties the tags together as a set. I made a penguin tag using the Penguin Pals set, an alpaca tag using Alpaca Holiday and Inside Greetings Holiday, a mouse tag using Merry Mice, and a Santa tag using North Pole and Santa Claus Lane. For each tag, I stamped the image in Lawn Fawn Jet Black ink on white cardstock, then colored with Copics before cutting out with the matching die and adhering it to the card. 

I then stamped the phrase I wanted on the back of the tag using VersaMark ink and embossed with white. If you wanted, you could also trim the images down to fit on the tags, but I liked the oversized image on the front and didn't mind the overhang on the back. I finished each tag with a bit of metallic twine so I can tie them to presents!

Hello and happy Monday everyone, Mayra here with you today. I am so happy to have this card and mini tag set to share with you. I used the awesome Window Quad Square Dies set. This is such an awesome set because aside from including the quad window cut out die it also includes two styles of mini tags and the coordinating pieces to decorate the mini tags. These are the cutest little tags. 

I began by coloring the images I would be using for the card and tags. I used the super cute Harvest Mice Stamps, Harvest Mice Dies, Bountiful Autumn, and Home Sweet Gnome.  

Copic Markers Used: Mice: E41, E31, E35, E55; Orange areas: YR20, YR21, YR15, YR07; Soft Pink areas: R00, R01, R21

Next, I die cut the pieces I used to create the card and tags. I used the stitched rectangle die from the Frilly Frames Quatrefoil Dies set, the grass and hill from the Slimline Nature Borders Dies, and for the scalloped edge I used the Slimline Basic Borders Dies. I used Distress Oxide Ink to add color to the grass, dirt, and sky areas. I used Peacock Feathers for the sky, Mowed Lawn along with Peeled Paint for the grass, and Gathered Twigs for the dirt area. The patterned paper is from the Classic Sunburst Paper set.
